Hi, I am running the trial version of P2ATC. I appreciate Dave is very busy with the new release etc. so I thought I would put this question on the forum maybe to get the experience of anyone who has used this programme for UK Flying. I find the programme is great getting from the gate at the departure airport right to the transition point on the approach-- this is where, very often in UK airspace, a hook back or holding pattern is arrived at. I know that if the airport is busy a hold would indeed be instructed by ATC but it seems simply wrong to fly a "loop" in the approach when that is not necessary. Without ATC one can just remove the looping waypoints…

Hi Dave, I cannot seem to get the new version to connect. I click the button and nothing happens. I am network and use P3Dv4 with wideclient. Version 2.3 still connects fine if i go back to it. here is the log. hi is there a way to attenuate the way how the ATC is handling the climbing to final CRZ altitude ? in certain situations, the TOGW & GW of the aircraft does not allow it to sky rocket fast enough in order to reach the final cruise altitude as it was planned after validating & filing the flight plan in P2ATC. in my case , i was flying CYYT/KEWR with an A320, the aircraft was heavily loaded to near limits of its TOGW and i have let it climb to the planned cruise altitude of FL340 in "managed mode" . it took about 50 minutes for the aircraft to climb and reach the crz altitude of FL340, in the mean time i have experienced constant ATC hammerin…

I just installed 2.4 after uninstalling the previous version via the uninstaller. What I found was that I didn’t have to add any licence keys or re install voices, folder references... Everything seems to work and the splash screen shows the new version.The only thing I had to do was to ‘run as administrator’... just wondering why all my settings are still there when i uninstalled the previous version... as I said all is well..just curious....

The orange response 'Traffic not in sight, <callsign>' is actually entered in the program as 'Ttraffic not in sight, <callsign>', so it does not work. (double tt) Clicked "Info" on airfield WPEC. System froze (circling cursor). Had to kill process after 10-15 minutes. This is the Info button on the map screen, not the Flight plan screen. That seems to load ok. Entered new flight plan - first airport WATC. No problems. Then entered WPEC. Took 2.5 minutes to return - almost gave up and killed process again. But it finally came back ok. Since installing V2.4 I'm having these problems - P2ATC doesn't understand my voice calls. Says that I'm garbled if there is a response at all. I can get a reply when I call for a radio check. I have to occasionally reset my PTT button. 'SayIt' doesn't have audio. Usually there is a text reply from ATC but no audio there either. All of this was fine before I updated. Any suggestions? I have the new version 4 working ok (so far). Did one faultless flight last night. But one function is still a bit weird. If you click on an airfield, then press the "Info" button, it can take ages to get the information. You get the rotating cursor and you think "ah it is locked up again". But eventually it comes back. It might be about 30-60 seconds. If you click on other locations it all loads fairly quick - although it still takes a few seconds The first time seems to be the problem. Just a bit of feedback.

with FSX-Steam I can't seem to get the SIM weather button to work. ATIS always says "Weather not available for Kxxx". Any way to get this to work?

A couple of questions for ver 2.4. I had a flight from KSEA to KRNO. After I got out of departure distance i was told to contact Lexington Center (LEXIN). What happened to Seattle Center. I looked at the freq list and it wasn't listed. I downloaded NavDataPro version and of course I don't have it or Navigraph either can I copy the database over from the earlier version? Thanks James

Hi, after installing vers. 2.4x64 my installed ivona voices are no more available for selection in p2a configuration, only microsoft voices are shown can´t connect to x-plane 11.10 (XPUIPC Version 2.0.3.1 has been installed and worked with 2.3xx regards Ralf

Hi, I'm trying to get the trial to work. I have installed XPUIPC and verified that it shows up in X Plane. When I click connect in the P2A client nothing happens. I have successfully gotten Plan-G to connect and I believe that uses XPUIPC. I have tried running P2A as administrator and disabling windows firewall. Any help would be appreciated. I'm using the latest version of X Plane on steam (11.10 I believe) on Win10 x64. Thanks

Hi, I just installed the latest 2.4 x64. I installed fresh to a new directory, and made sure the desktop shortcut is pointing to the right new directory. I have 24GB of ram on this box. The program launches really fast now, like in less than 2 seconds. Not sure if that is cuz it's x64 or because of the problem i'm seeing now. In the map area, when i click on the search button to enter in an airport, i type in an airport code and hit ok, and it doesn't do anything now. The satellite map shows ok, but it doesn't move to the airport at all. So, then, if i manually pan and zoom into the airport and then click on the left most button under the map (…

Since 11.10 went final, I find that the Flight Plan Importer window just freezes and hangs, when I try to create a flight plan. This also means the rest of the PT2ATC functions do not work and I have to shut it down via Task Manager. Connecting PT2ATC works as normal.... As far as I am aware nothing else has changed, so wondering if anyone else has seen this. Thanks..

I did not see this described in the manual... There is a row across the top of the MFD that shows what seems like a random Waypoint - ie distance to go, time, etc. Also some general things like TAS, etc. The waypoint specific stuff is confusing. I at first assumed that the waypoint is the next one. but this does not seem to be the case. There is also a blue highlighted row on the flight plan panel - I thought it might be that row, but no. You an also highlight more than one row on the flight plan panel, so not sure what the blue highlight means either. It makes sense that it would be either the next way point or the highlighted row. I was wondering what conditions are required for the Speech Assistant to appear? My last flight it never did - the dropdown lists were empty. I had Validated the flight plan, plus I had Filed it. It has worked on on previous flights. I also read in the manual that the Validate box should be green as you are entering a flight plan. In my case it never has been - you always have to press the Validate button. Is this a change from the manual, or am I perhaps doing something wrong? I also note that when you File a plan, it can change from what you have entered. Is this what is intended?

HI I am a new user to p2a. Just downloaded the trial last weekend and am definitely going to buy. You're product is awesome! I am having an issue however with the p2a window shifting and collapsing every time I key the mic. I am running X-plane 11.05. I have four monitors. 3 of them are running off of Gtx 970 ti with 6 Gb vram and are synced to perform as 1 monitor ( cockpit) The 4th runs off the pc motherboard. It does not matter which monitor I place p2a on, but every time I key the mic the screen shifts (or maybe it is minimizing) anyway the map and flight plan turn to black. Sometimes when I Key mic again it reverts back, but sometimes I have to click …

I see some topics here and in the manual on how to add speech packs from Microsoft for Windows 8 and Windows 10. But not for Windows 7, and Win 7 is not the same. One link I saw said to go to Windows Update and install the language packs from there. All this does in my case is show a list of foreign languages (ie French, russian, etc). I already have the English language pack installed I guess, as I am in Australia. I have my region setup as Australia as well. I understand that other regions (not languages) have more voices. ie the USA and the UK regions have various other voices. How to I access these additional voices?

Did a full multi hour GA flight tonight using P2A and it was excellent. Much better voice recognition than I thought possible, I also have the Stick and Rudder Studios X-ATC-Chatter files running in the background, and it was very impressive. There was only one 'bug'. As ATC switched me from enroute to the approach phase, it repeated 30-50 times "<callsign> maintain 6000". I was at 6000 and correct QNH and I had spent the whole flight at 6000'. Eventually, as I got further along the approach leg, this stopped and everything after that was fine. Bit of a hiccup there. It also left me a bit high on the final - in fact I had to do a 360 turn to lose height before …

I looked at Pilot2ATC a few years back but was not experienced enough to delve into it. I have just tried the demo again and am very impressed at the progress. I will certainly be buying a copy. I got the program running and interfacing with XP 11 with very few issues. I even did a reasonable flight with it. There are a couple of questions/suggestions, if I may. The TERP button does nothing in my situation as I am in Australia. But I can easily get charts for any airport in Australia - they are supplied free of charge. I have a folder full of these charts and I can use the Open button and pick a PDF and it loads. No problem. It seems to me that it might be a goo…

Hello ,when asking for taxi to gate on arrival airport i always get responds that gates are not avaible. Using xplane 11 and and wt3. Any tips for what i have to do?

Hi! When p2a gives traffic alerts is it alerting the wt3 planes? Using the traffic button to display traffic in p2a im only getting 10-11 planes on the p2a traffic display. Im using wt3 plugin and there should be hundreds of planes in the traffic display. Is there any communication between wt3 and p2a? Maybe the planes are just from the default AI planes in xp11.
