Hi, thinking of getting this for P3d. The thing holding me back is the TTS voice that I see in the youtube videos. I see threads where people have been able to make them sound more realistic by making them sound more static/radio like. Are there any videos that show this mod? I can't seem to find any, but really would like to hear some to see if it makes a big difference. Thanks Bill

Hi, just came across your program and it looks very interesting. I was wondering if the program would be of use to me and in what way in the following typical GA situation in the UK I want to start at a private airstrip without an icao code and without a manned ATC unit but it's own RTC frequency. I then want to take off VFR and fly to another similar airfield that takes me through or around some military or civil airspace. So my question is can Pilot2ATC give me appropriate radio chat and atc responses to this situation? Many thanks for any help or suggestions here Regards Mike

Dave, I read a couple of reviews on P2A in the PC Pilot magazine. Really glad the lady that did the original review decided to go back and give P2A a more comprehensive review. She got it right on her second review. I've had P2A for a month now and am really enjoying it. I've had PF3 and Radar Contact, but by far P2A is the best in my opinion. You've done a great job on this program and your support is outstanding. Thanks for a great program and glad your finally getting some recognition for the work your doing. Thanks again. Rodger

I know you are busy with more important things....but I have a suggestion. I have been doing more STARs and the like lately, and I need to be more aware of height restrictions during this phase of the landing. The Flight Plan window gives the restrictions and is a great help. If possible, I think it would be good if you added this information to the labels on the map view as well as the name of the waypoint. But not a big deal if not possible. I have been having problems getting the vertical profile correct. For a start I am flying the Carenado DO-228 and the vertical part of the auto pilot is a bit of a pain to use. The 3D panel control is practically unusable, so I…

Sometimes, everything works great and efficiently. Sometimes it takes ages and ages (or possibly not at all as I give up after several minutes) to connect to X-Plane, and also to either Validate or Auto Plan. I'm sure it can be made quicker somehow? For example it has been stuck on this screen a long time if I try either Validate, File, or Auto Plan. I have tried restarting Pilot2ATC as well as X-Plane. I have also tried entering some intermediate waypoints (as shown in the screen shot below) hoping maybe it would reduce the pathing in Pilot2ATC. My PC is quite powerful, with SSD and HDD, and nothing much else happening. Other flights work efficiently, perhaps if the area…

I am requesting climb to flight level 110 (screenshot below), after performing a go around and decision to fly into another airport instead due to poor visibility. However ATC is ignoring my requests to climb to FL110, with no reply possibly as they are not the ones who decide this at this point. I cannot tell if they are ignoring me or not present, however they are there and listening because if I speed up they demand I slow down. It would be nice if there was some sort of indication that my requests are being actively being heard but ignored. Or does green text mean that? http://prntscr.com/hwufsy

"Contact Warsaw Ctr on 128.76" would round to 128.75 in the freq box and then ATC would direct a freq change to 128.76. Wash rinse repeat until clear of the controlling area. Ver2.4.0.4_x64 airac 1713 even though it should be 1801. (Airac is my issue not yours)

I planned the following route which, according to SkyVector, is a preferred ATC route. I assume that this is a preferred route to take you around some mountain areas. KSNA SLI AHEIM OLLIE POXKU EBITE PDZ DEHAM DEGNE KRIV Very shortly after takeoff I am vectored by ATC away from the course and given vectors to the ILS at KRIV. The vectored path takes me right into the mountain area. I'd like to fly the route as filed, and then get vectors when I get close to KRIV. Why am I vectored so soon away from the filed course? What can I do to be able to fly the route as filed? Thanks Dave.

Dave, a thought/request: In real life there is no regular radio communication when over the Atlantic. VHF is out of range, and you get assigned an HF frequency/code in case the Gander or Shanwick controllers need to get a hold of you, but that is rare. It would be cute to simulate the radar services terminated and HF coverage hand-off, but would it be possible to at least eliminate ATC VHF frequency communication while over the Atlantic? It's more realistic, and it also reduces the regular need to acknowledge and execute frequency changes dozens of times while over the ocean. As a footnote, I noticed that I am being handled by Gander Center all the way ac…

I have recently updated to Pilot2ATC v2.4.0.4 x64 version. After updation, the issue of delayed response of ATC after pressing PTT has improved significantly. However, a few issues are still there : 1. With aircraft at GA ramp requesting taxi to Rwy 25 L, following response is obtained from ATC : Taxi to Rwy 25 L via taxiway Sierra, Foxtrot, Charlie, Delta. The point to be noted is that there are no Foxtrot, Charlie, Delta taxiways at EDDF. So the taxi instructions are not correct. 2. When tower is contacted at downwind Rwy 25L, instructions received from tower are to "contact while turning final". While turning final to Rwy 25L, when tower is contacted, it say…

I fly only General Aviation aircraft with the Flight1 GTN750 Garmin gauge . Along at times using AivlaSoft EFB . I am searching to get good ATC, i normally do not fly online. P3D ver 3 What Airac Cycle would Pilot2ATC come with today and would I not have to get the same cycle for the GTN750 and AivlaSoft or any other software requiring Airac cycle files. Maybe I am out to lunch on this but would not everything have to match Pilot2ATC cycle so all ATC communications regarding the flight were proper. Thank you and product looks interesting Garry P3D Ver 3

Installed the new 2.4.0.2 today. Many problems - unusable. Probably all linked to the fact that it no longer Connects to X-Plane correctly. First off, it took a few attempts to get it to fire up - it either took a long time or it just won't load. One time it even came up on the right monitor! I had thought that you had fixed that problem - but no - the next attempt it was back to the wrong monitor again. When you try to connect (press the Connect button), you get messages like"Simulator Connected, Recognition Engine Installed and Grammars loaded". Which is good. But the Connect button does not turn green. The power button does turn green and the radio labels come ali…

Hello, I installed the new 1.4 program (full install) After install, my PTT switch does not work. Also, I cannot get it to assign in the setup tools screen. All other joystick controls work fine. The PTT on the screen works from my mouse but the one on my joystick (Saitek X52 key #1 was assigned) does not work anymore. Thanks in advance, Ron Sagel

"Calculate Safe EnRoute Altitudes- Pilot2ATC can calculate minimum en-route altitudes for your flight plans. However, this takes some time and if you’re flying long distances at high altitude, there is no value in this, so check this box. If you’re flying at low altitudes, in mountainous terrain, uncheck this box so you get this added safety check. When checked, Pilot2ATC will add the Minimum EnRoute AGL altitude (set elsewhere) to the highest terrain feature for each leg of your route as the Minimum for that leg." I am confused about this. If I am flying at low altitude and want the calculation do I check or not?

I'm still in the trial phase, so it might be an user error. I fly the attached route from EKCH to EDDH. Departure is fine and while at Copenhagen center I'm directed to MIC. That's it. I'm not (as I would expect) handed over to Bremen Center and I receive no further instruction from ATC. I try to contact EHHD Tower and get referred to Bremen center who tells me to do the expected RNAV approach to EDDH. But I would expected to be told (by Copenhagen) to contact Bremen and I expected more guidance from ATC during START/Approach. Am I doing something wrong. . <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <SerializableFltPlan xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2…

I think there may be a bug in the latest version (gasps!). If you are connected XP11 (Windows 10) then P2ATC will not launch the add SID or STAR window nor will it generate a plan when you click File. The SID/STAR windows pop and disappear immediately. Disconnecting it from XP11 temporarily while adding a SID/STAR fixes these. Windows Defender exclusions make no difference. To get the "File" to work, I have to disconnect, click Auto Plan, reconnect then File it. In my previous version v2.4.0.1 I could File while connected and did not need to Auto Plan for the automatic planning to work (rightly or wrongly). Also the spinning circle appears if you click add SID, …

A couple of questions about STARs, apologies in advance as they are probably very basic! What would be the normal process for deciding which STAR to use? I can see a STAR is generated when the flight plan is filed, so presumably the STAR is accurate for that point in time. However if the simulator reverses wind direction en route, will P2ATC update the destination runway and STAR on the fly? Alternatively if I have an emergency en route and need to change destination to land at a different airport, how would I go about this only using push to talk?

Hi, I just installed the latest version of P2ATC and this required a new install as I was previously running 2.3.something. Is there any way to get back the various taxiway maintenance files I had setup for various airports? I still have a copy of my old database file but if I replace the new database file with the old one I get an error message about licensing... thanks in advance

Hi Any news, plans about integration with World Traffic 3? A possibility to have the map turning and keeping the aircraft pointing up would be nice! Thank you for the best flightsim add on ever!

Hi, I've installed trial version of P2ATC. First it connected without any problem. But just after few hours I wasn't able to file my flight plan. When I press connect button it doesn't turns green but I get "Simulator Connected Recognition Engine Installed Grammars Loaded" messages. And when I try to file it begins to load and doesn't show any info about process like validation does. I want to test it until my trial period is ended :(.

Hi. I am experiencing frequent crashes and freezes with the latest 64 bit version (as with previews version), to the point that it is almost unusable for me. I have 16 Gb of RAM installed. When it does not freeze or crash, it takes too long to connect to the sim (xplane 11) or to respond to requests. Any ideas?

Hello, been having problems lately with xplane 11 crashing to desktop suddenly mid flights. Using P2A and xplane together is for sure hard on the memory for the pc i think. Having 16GB RAM, would you think this is below minimum requirements for having P2A run together with xplane? also running xenviro and world traffic 3 plugins

CereProc is running a December sale (50% off) using the 'DECSALE17' code at check out. They offer several different windows voices that sound very good. https://www.cereproc.com/en Standard disclaimer. I am in no way affiliated with Cereproc but own a couple of their windows voices and use them with Pilot2ATC (64 Bit). Joe
