Hi all, After studiously reading through the first 156 pages of the manual I installed Pilot2ATC successfully and set up as much as I could. I use X-Plane 11 and set up the P2A autopilot to help as much as possible. I successfully created a flight plan from Guam (PGUM) to Haneda (RJTT) and validated it. After some practise and learning of the voice recognition I successfully contacted ground for push-back etc and eventually handed over to the tower. On approaching the requested runway Holding point things started going wonky. P2A became sluggish and a bunch of my voice requests appeared bunched together after a minute. Hello Dave, Before take-off, the STAR and APP are not necessarily known in advance on the destination airfield. The active runway may change... Currently in P2A, the STAR and APP must be pre-filled in an IFR flight plan before it is sent for clearance. If the QFU on the destination airfield changes during flight, the APP and likely the STAR in the current flight plan must be changed. How to make a STAR and APP change in flight in P2A ?

I use Active Sky and have it set up in the config menu of P2ATC. ATC assigned runway 13 (KLGA) when the ATIS says RWY 4. I should note that I also use PFPX and it too assigned RWY 4. Maybe this is correct but it doesn't feel right. This seems like a thing that would come up and I searched but didn't find a post. Thanks. Chuck

I'm not sure if this is just a feature request. It is certainly not a bug in this outstanding software. While enroute, ATC will often direct contacting the next control area by name, as in "Diamond Romeo Zulu, contact Munich center on 123.45" This is extremely explicit and very realistic. My copilot, however, drops the region name and will respond with "contact center on 123.45" and then contacts the controller with "center, diamond Romeo Zulu is at flight level eight zero", always omitting the name. Why are my flight plans for P3d 412 being saved as VBF files in my Documents/Prepar3D V4 Files folder. I have XPlane 11. But I'm not using it. I looked in configuration for a why to change the file format. XPlane folder is not even filled in. In the Flt Pln tab. Thank You. Bill McCracken

Hi, Just installed the trial version and was just wondering whether ATC will ever give me any speed restrictions... especially on straight in approaches flying medium to heavy jets? I know I'm flying alone so there's no need for separation but it would be nice as an option for ATC to "slow me down". Is this maybe something that will be looked at for a future version? Hi, First of all, excuse for my bad english. I'm french and I'll do my best. I've downloaded last demo version of P2ATC and I've installed it. All is configured and it connect well with Xplane 11. If I try to ask IFR clearance, ATC answers me and says "we don't have receive your flightplan files". OK. I validate and file my flightplan, and after, no response. Each time I validate and file a flightplan (make by P2ATC or a line text imported as "LFRS LUSON ROYAN LFBD" with choice of SID, STAR and APPROACH, or with Simbrief), ATC doesn't answer me. I want to buy this addon but I don't if I can resolve this problem. Thanks for your help

Hey Dave, I realize this is probably not possible right now, from looking at the manual. But as a future feature, it would be nice if there were a way for us to 'import' charts that are missing in the TERPS window, in some form like pdf so that the they show up using the standard access mechanism (entering ICAO, and then selecting the appropriate button diagram, appr, etc). I think you're just pulling in the charts from the web somewhere on demand for the ones that are there now? I realize we can currently just open them via the open button from somewhere on the DB, but it would be nice if we could import them, and save them as the appropriate type for future us…

Hi After downloading the demo, I click on config then voices and I do not have any voices displayed in the drop down menu. P2ATC connects to the simulator and says Simulator connected, Recognition engine installed and Grammars loaded. I have default speech set to US. The strange thing, I have VOXATC and the speech engine works fine. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks John

A small request, please. On the PC where P2A is running I have several other programs running too, and all of them are started AND closed by WideClient. In fact all 7 of the PCs involved in the cockpit are closed down via a WideFS option to do this. When a session is finished, that's then all I need to do -- get WideFS to send the sutdown signal. Only P2A is left running with its quite confirmation message box. I could problably force it to close, but that isn't nice and if I've changed any options they'd then probably be lost. Far better would be to have a little option in P2A for that confirmation to be bypassed. Thanks, Pete

I don't know if this is a bug, but I am changing frequency from ATIS to Clearance Delivery (and this is confirmed by the P2A display, bottom left), but the ATIS spiel continues for a long long time afterwards (several iterations). I know the sound playing facilities in Windows include facilities for sound playing to be terminated even when they are long and in a loop. Dooesn't this facility apply to speech synthesis? Maybe this is only a problem with ATIS? If the output cannot be terminated before the end of the one complete ATIS report, then at least it should before the next iteration. On that point, shouldn't there be a few second gap between iterations?…

I've assigned a keypress to the transponder entry in P2A Config-Buttons tab. I assume this is just to be triggered (simple press, or a press and hold?) by the IDENT button on my transponder. True? If so will it ever be needed on my rather short flights (ess than two hours, always)? Pete

I've checked the option for the cleared plan to be sent to the P3D4 Documents folder, which works. I've also checked the option for it to be loaded into P3D, because then Active Sky will give me planned weather along the route and a file I can display in my cockpit. However, P2A doesn't seem to be loading the plan into P3D. Is it using FSUIPC for this? If so I'll log the entries it is making into the offset to get the plan loaded. But I won't waste my time if this is not being done yet. I'll have to get it loaded myself. Thanks, Pete

I've evaluated P2A in the free trial period, but I did this on my testing system, not in my cockpit. There it was fine, and enabled me to develop a display system for the "ConversationText" file now produced. In anticipation of full use on my cockpit I've purchased some decent voices and installed and tested those on the WideFS client to be used with my cockpit. So, I've now finished (or so I thought) setting it up for my cockpit, but I'm having problems. The first, and the subject of this post, is speech recognition. Would it be possible to have this feature with a joystick button ? Currently we must click in the P2A window if it does not have the focus for the keyboard shortcut to work.

First, thanks for this great product! Would it be possible when landing at a towered airport under VFR for the tower to assign the pattern entry based on direction of flight? This would involve adding some additional calls that would be recognized as valid. Entry points could be: Left Downwind, Right Downwind, Left Base, Right Base, Straight In Reporting points could be: Midfield (for Downwind entries), X mile base or X mile final Calls to add: <Tower Name><Call Sign><Distance><Direction from Airport><Current Altitude><Landing Intention>with<ATIS Code>/weather I don't think there would a way to validate …

I have set up my 'sound' to play from chatter the root folder as follows: C:\Pilot2ATC_2018_x64\Sounds I have checked 'Pause Between File Playback' w/ the number 4. Also, have checked 'play chatter'. Getting plenty of great chatter, but would like to space it out as now it plays one after the other - in the manual it says 'When you have multiple files, you’ll want to check the “Pause Between File Playback” option and enter a number for the maximum seconds to pause.' So I have assumed that 4 would give me 4 seconds between each audio file, but I see that the manual says 'maximum seconds' so maybe I'm not reading it correctly. Any help would be appreciated.…

Win 10, XP11.05, v2.2.1.9R3 My suggestion for another useful feature in P2A is for a simple landing rate record. Simply feet per minute and ground speed at touch down. That would be awesome as they say. . . Cheers, Bruce

I've a number of relatively short (up to 1 hour in a 738) flightplans made by PFPX which, when imported into P2A only show as departure and arrival airports. None of the waypoints between. Now it may be that, since these plans are quite short, many of the waypoints are part of the SIDs and STARs selected by PFPX at the time. But certainly not all in most cases. Anyway, I did have the options set for ATC to assign SID, STAR and Approach, so possibly those parts of the Import are discarded so that they don't conflict -- very nice if it does that as then I can re-use the same plans with different weather conditions. I'm new to P2A and registered my copy choosing the option with NavDataPro 1706 however when P2A is open it still shows "Pilot2ATC 2018 v.2.4.0.6_x64_c Navigraph - AIRAC cycle: 1705". I must say I had originally installed the option with Airac 1705 for the trial period though. I recently update the AIRAC cycle to 1803 for both X-Plane 11 and P2A. Not sure if this is a P2A problem or an X-Plane 11 problem. I created a flight plan from KDAL to KSAT, with the MARCS1 Star and CWK transition to the ILS-RW13R approach (vectors to HASDO). I then export the flight plan to XPlane. When I load it in XPlane, I get the following error: "X-Plane could not understand or save this flight plan file: Output/FMS plans/KDAL-KSAT.fms This flightplan say RW13R should be active at KSAT but there is no such runway." Any ideas whether this is a P2A issue or an X-Plane issue?

How to: 1) Request a different runway? 2) Request a differen STAR? 3) Request a different RWY for landing? 4) Request a dfferent STAR? 5) Request vectors to final? Thanks
