I thought I should let P2A users know of some new facilities for those who use WideFS for client displays, as in a cockpit or separate screen from the simulator. I have added a facility into WideClient version 7.146 which, along with new Lua plug-ins, can display the P2A conversation text in a client Window. The package also includes plug-ins for the simulator's SimConnect menus and text displays, replacing the previous "ShowText" plug-in completely. The 7.146 update of WideClient and WideFS is now available for download in the Download Links subforum over in my Forum, and the package includes a PDF explaining the use of each of the new plug-ins. I am running windows 10 pro x64 and using a soundblaster z sound card. I am thinking that windows 10 has issues with sound from two different programs simultaneously. I have adjusted the windows volume mixer putting FSX SE at 25 and P2A at 100. In FSX SE I have set the sound levels to 20 for everything except voice which is at 50. Even at that the sound from FSX SE drowns out P2A. Sometimes it works well, but half of the time it doesn't. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get more volume out of P2A. And yes, I have found the volume control for the com radio but there is no volume readout. Just increase, decrease and mute. It would be nice if there was…

Hi Dave, When cleared for departure, I am instructed to maintain runway heading until a certain altitude and then turn to an assigned heading. I assume this initial heading is for me to intercept the course (the magenta line on P2ATC map) to my first waypoint in the IFR plan. However, after turning to the assigned heading after takeoff, ATC does not give any further heading instructions. Upon reaching the magenta line, am I suppose to turn direct to the 1st waypoint? Even without clearance or instruction? If I don't turn, then I just keep flying further away from my planned waypoints. Shouldn't there be a "Proceed on course" command or 'Turn to xxx head…

I realize this a a bit of a newbie question.... I am having trouble descending with permission of the P2A ATC. During the initial flight plan, I include both my proposed SID and STAR, which gets programmed into the FMC. While flying I usually receive confirmation of the STAR and receive permission to fly it. When the FMC begins the descent, I usually receive another message from the P2A ATC that I am too low and I need to return to my cruise altitude. So, if I receive permission to follow the SID, do I also need to ask permission for this lower altitude as well? Shouldn't this be assumed and happen automatically? Ron

Dear forum participants I load or create a flightplan and when I ask for clearance (after listening to the ATIS) ATC reports to me: "We don't have a Flightplan on file for you". What could I do wrong (I have not found a evidence of this problem in this forum or in a tutorial)? Anyway: Pilot2ATC is a super great program; thanks Dave (and Co) for this great work! hi dave and everybody. i am thinking to (finally) buy pilot2atc, not only because it is a good atc program but also because i believe we should support the author to continue the good work on it. i plan to use it for both p3d and x plane. but i dont want to use the voice commands. so my question is: does the say it function support all the commands we could give by voice? i mean am i going to be able to do everything just by using the keyboard commands? maybe im wrong or ... blind but in the manual i didnt find a specific analytic topic about the keyboard commands. i mean what each command is and when we use it. maybe this program is for a use who knows ho…

Hi, I bought PILOT2ATC yesterday and it's a beautiful software I'm discovering the richness of little by little. So far, so good. But (because there's a "but" otherwise I wouldn't bother you with my ignorance) I can't make the Center on Aircraft button or the Al traffic one. I've installed it as administrator. I managed to load a flightplan in my 757 FMC. On the guide, they suggest that I should enable traffic display in the configuration. I've looked everywhere there but couldn't find any clicking zone to enable that. Can you help me, please. Please, don't let me be misundertood! (famous song of my younger age) Best regards MV121

Hi. Thanks for awesome program and update. My question is about ARTCC centers. I´we read in the manual, that P3Dv4 and FSX you can update center frequenses, but is such a feature coming in X-Plane too? Then how is the frequenzy handling from controller to another handled, do I still have set the nautical miles to get handled, or will it be automatised ? Last question is about clereanses, for example, if I wan´t to fly from Heathrow to Boston, in real life pilot´s do not use phonetical alphabets (Kilo, Bravo, Oscar, Sierra) ??? Instead they ask clereance to Boston, Is that kind of feature coming in to Pilot2ATC in sometime ? Keep up good work

I apologize if this information has been noted somewhere, but I have had no luck finding the answer to my questions regarding adding additional voices to Pilot2ATC. I have several voices I purchased in the past for use with TextAloud. I wonder if these voices will work in Pilot2ATc, and if so, how does one go about getting them into P2A? Thanks.

Hi I use two computers to run the flight sim with Pilot2ATC on the client machine. Since P3d does not separate the nav2 or ADF recognition signals they have to go through the main speakers. Is there a way you could implement the Morse recognition signals to be recognized by pilot2atc through MakeRunways for example and then broadcast to the headphones like the ATC is. Lately when flying I get all the way to destination and while being vectored to approach or starting an approach Pilot2ATC looses it's connection. Is there anything I can check that might be causing this?

I have an Agronn yoke in my Jetmax set up. I have been using the rear switch on left side of the yoke to talk, for some time. For some unknown reason this is not now working so I am trying to reconfigure ( and cannot remember how I did it before). In config /btns, 42 is showing, but when I clear it and click on set button to start again, the yoke window that appears only offers mouse or keyboard in the drop down menu. Why doesn't it offer my yoke? I use server and client PCs, but to do the config I have both open with P3D4 running and the JM737 connected and waiting for start up.

Video shows Pilot2ATC working in VR cockpit with MoveVR plugin. Helped me to taxi my way to the gate in EHAM, super useful. Note: fps lose caused by recording, in VR headset it's smother.

When flying VFR or with a VFR flight plan, I'm having an issue where, when I notify the tower of the destination airport that I'm inbound for landing, it gives me a runway that only exists at the departing airport. This doesn't happen when I select "App-Dep" frequency (if it exists) instead of "Tower." Is this normal?

I like to fly in Colorado. I noticed that Pilot2atc does not have all of the procedures for KDEN. There are only approaches for runways 7,8,16L,16R, 17L,17R but not the opposing runways. Is there a way to update Pilot2atc so that I have all of the procedures? I purchased version 2.5 from the Pilot2atc website.

I did a flight yesterday - LSGG to EHAM. The STAR in P2A looked right, but the STAR in the CDU was short of the waypoints needed to make a flyable teardrop approach at EHAM. Where are the CDU's STARS? Have I failed to do something inP3D to ensure that both have the same data?

Hello, Since I'm flyning with P2Atc, I saw that, at the first air traffic controlleur contact (whatever type of control), the controlleur say: "AirTestxxx good morning, Squwakzzzz" Is it intented? Is it the same for everybody? I expected rather to a sentence like that: "AirTestxxx good morning radar contact, continu your navigation..." (That mean your squwak is in Alt mode.) I saw also when you switch squwak mode to Off, Stby, Active, and again Alt, at the moment the controlleur say "radar contact". What is your opinion about the subject? Vincent

Yesterday I tried the EGLL->EGPH example flight from the manual. Shortly before TOD Pilot2ATC crashed (the "program not respondinding", white screen, blue circle type of crash, Version 2.5.2) . So I terminated the Pilot2ATC process, reloaded and filed my flightplan again, and Pilot2ATC recognized the next waypoint in my flightplan correctly. But the last center frequency I was assigned to before the crash didn't work anymore, and I had no idea on how to reconnect to ATC. Is this type of in flight reconnect to ATC possible somehow?

Hello every one, I've comment about ATC situation during landing: I am established on the ILS and clear to land, but the tower-control clear take-off for an other traffic.This situation seems unrealistic for me, perhaps exept if i'm fliyng with light aircraft in VFR conditions, and the traffic ready for take-off is a airliner. I use My traffic Professional can this affect P2ATC for traffic works? I've an other question, when i'm in control channel, (ground, tower, approch...) i'dont listen any AI traffic conversation, i've dont read in the Pdf manual anything about that, I've read how we can install background réalistc atc ambiance, but now about AI atc.…

Today I purchased Pilot2atc version 2.5. I'm trying to get it set up, specifically to get the voice recognition to work. I am running Windows 10 Pro and using a Saitek X52 controller. When I attempt to configure the PTT button for my X-52 controller the number of the button that comes up is not correct. When I press button 7 button 6 comes up in the window. I tried different buttons and none come up with the correct number. Is there a way to fix this? I would like to get the voice recognition working so that I can use this program. Also, when I go into the Grammar Helper and try to practice a window pops up stating what microphone is being used along with addi…

I know this has nothing to do with Pilot2ATC but any suggestions would be appreciated. I went to Win10 Last Summer in 2017, Sense then FSX has been loading very very slowly 5 Minutes to come to the main screen. I've done a Lot of research but nothing seems to work. I've checked with AVSIM, and others on the internet, but nothing helps. I know others have the same problem. I've thought about uninstalling and reinstalling FSX. How difficult would that be? FSX is unusable in this condition. BTW Pilot2ATC is not the problem. Something in Windows 10, I think, is causing the problem. Thanks in advance Harry
