Hi guys, I need to get to the bottom of some issues that I've immediately experienced in both the provided configs that come default with the installation of the 430-530 as well one I have been designing on my own over the past few weeks. I'm using Prepar3D v3.3.5 in Windows 10. This is all installed on a reformatted PC so everything has been a fresh install over the past two months. I have the gauges working now but am trying to overcome some extended issues. I first built a custom 2D panel set on my own which contains 5 instances of the GNS530 only. Hello, When executing approaches the GPS window only shows "APP" instead of LPV, LNAV+V, etc-not the actual type most suited or downgraded to in case of some kind of outage or failure. The appch itself seems to work smoothly and the vertical guidance appears to be right on. I even created a 2D popup gauge using one of the two analog gauges Mindstar provides to use with A/C that don't yet have vertical guidance in their gauge and that showed correct behavior as well. I cannot delete any fix on any given apch segment or from any STAR or SID thats "pre-configured." I can only delete actual fix names that I input. I don't receive any liability warnings that "..…

Hello, It seems when i install the Mindstar GNS430/530 into an A/C where VC gauges are used the sim locks up after a few min of play. If i disable that, then all seems well, but the VC gauges are blank and clickspots are disabled. I have to use SHIFT + X to pop up the panel and use that way. It would at least be nice to have some display in the VC gauge while using the 2D pop up. I know each developer is different, and have even read of some of the same issues elsewhere online, but it doesnt seem to be that prevalent. Hello, I have both P3D v3 and MSFX steam installed and using both. I have run steam and the GNS 530/430 seems to run ok with the installed C172.....haven't really tested P3D. I have yet to integrate the gauges. My problem is when i go to apps in win 10, Mindstar and run Aircraft browser as admin i get an runtime 6 error over flow msg. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Hello, The previous topic was locked, so I had to start a new one. I downloaded and installed the latest version of the GNS 530 as directed, then updated RealNavData to current DB. I verified DB date on 530 Aux page. Unfortunately, my WP are still missing. I tried "DARTS" and "TIFNI" and neither was in the DB. I know they are current, bc I loaded them in a real GNS 430 in our club Archer last week. Perhaps I am installing incorrectly or something? Date/time of MPI_GNS.gau is 6/2/2016 11:28pm. I installed the gauges into p3d v3 ( btw its all working fine in fsx and fsx-se on my machine) I installed into p3d v3 and then installed into a stock microsoft fsx baron that i had imported and into a caranado m20j in both cases the gauge comes up as a pop up in the vc . the gauge 530 comes up and runs through the start up but then i cant click to get past the gauge OK message. also just cannot use any gauge buttons.. I checked the dll.xml ( looks good to me ) and hygergauge is in the modules folder.... I checked permissions.. .... looks good....... Not sure what else to check.... The Mindstar guage shows up ok, however I cannot get the GPS 530 buttons to work in P3d. I can switch to a guage other than a Mindstar in my panel.cfg and the GPS buttons work ok. I have removed and re-installed the Mindstar software several times to no avail. I have FSUIPC buttons assigned. I copied the fsuipc the assignments into the gns.ini to see if that would work. It didn't. I have SimConnect. I don't see here where I can attach a copy of my .dll , fsuipc ,panel.cfg and gns.ini Bill Davis

How do i use the aircraft browser for p3d or steam I'm trying to get the 530 into some of the aircraft that minstar says will install into by default. two things happen i see aircraft listed but that is about all i can do also i have been getting a runtime error The only plane i have been able to install into so far is the a2a 182 p3d and steam fsx nothing else trying to get it into the carenado m20j in both sims Did i miss the manual or instructions I know i can add things manually but evidently i should be able to install automatically to same planes Pete

Good Day, I am using the GNS530 in the A2A Commanche in Prepar3d v3.2.3 on a Windows 10 box. I purchased RealNavdata and verified that the 1604 cycle is loaded (displayed on the Aux->database page). My first flight I loaded a local GPS approach (GPS 18 KRDG) and flew it with no issues. Tonight I tried to enter a flight plan into the 530 from KRAL to KSMO via the ONTN7 TEC. The first intersection I tried to enter was TIFNI. No entries came up. Same for BAYJY and ADAMM. Not even DARTS, which is part of the SMO GPS - A approach. I use the real GNS430 in an Archer III, so I know I'm entering the data correctly. I even tried just looking up the intersect…

Few a years ago i bought the garmin 1000 but I don't have the key anymore. How do i go about retrieving it ? Is it possible to install the gauge in the carenado tbm850 ? Thanks

I started flying my A2A C 172 Trainer after many months of flying the 737. The problem I had today was the 530 causing P3d to lock up, stating not responding, and screen turns white and locks up. This happens mostly when I click on the 530 to dock it in the panel after making an adjustment. As soon as I mouse click it locks up. I then switched to the 430, by installing it instead, and no problems at all. I can dock and undock the 430 rapidly, and it is solid. Anything I can check on the 530 to troubleshoot this issue? P3D Version 3.2 Windows 7 No other problems with P3D.

Hi, See the screenshot. I'm at Sonoma airport, KSTS. The GNS 530 does not show the class D airspace. Is this normal. or is there something wrong with my install?

Hi, I'm trying to retrofit the Mindstar G1000 into the 2D cockpit of the standard FSX Cessna C208 Caravan as a popup gauge. Everything seems to be OK apart from the engine instruments: Torque, ITT, Ng RPM, prop RPM, and bus volts are all 0. I started a support ticket last Friday July 8th to resolve re-installation of my G1000 software. It is now Tuesday July 12th. The last topic I started on this was closed without any actual resolution. The email topic in the support ticket email to Mindstar specifically says G1000 as well did the included text in several places. I also included all of my original purchase information for the G1000 some six years ago. I still can`t get the Mindstar GNS 530 to work properly in P3D V3.3. I have an Emuteq GNS 530 hardware unit and use it in conjunction with your GNS 530 software. I set up the Emuteq hardware buttons to their according GNS functions using FSUIPC offsets in the GNS.ini, and I installed the Mindstar GNS 530 unit into my Lancair Legacy panel.cfg (and some other planes, too). I am an old Mindstar customer both in age as well as not having reinstalled the G1000 software since 2010. I have recently rebuilt my PC with Windows 10, FSXse and Prepar3D v3.3.5 and have attempted to install the latest v2.11.0019 (migrating up from the 2.0.44 beta circa 2010). After the "installation" I first attempted to register via the online method with my last known Serial Number and License Key and it would not work. I then attempted it with every other manner available and had no luck that way either. Hi there, I'm having a strange problem where if I try to add a waypoint to the FPL page of the 530 my sim crashes. It only seems to happen at CYBD (I've tried it at another airport on the other side of the world and it works fine). I read all the instructions to change panel G1000 from 182 to citation mustang, (I'm trying to make me a home cockpit Mustang ) I get lost in the 1000 instructions, I am not a programmer as you can see but it 's very important for me to succeed in this venture. Yesterday I purchased the DA-42 from Eaglesoft, The airplane installed just fine in FSXSE. However, despite the KAP-140 installer running and saying that the autopilot is now installed, it was not. The AP appears in the instrument panel as a non functioning unit.. Any help would be appreciated. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium edition and FSX Steam Edition that is NOT a dual install with FSX. Hello, I'm wondering if the user waypoint menu is fully modelled in the GNS430? The reason I'm asking is that I cannot create any user waypoints using the GNS430. I'm able to do it using the GNS430 simulator provided by Garmin but not in the Mindstar GNS430. I've been unable to do so on Windows 7, 8 & 10.

Hello, I just recently purchased the G1000 and I'm having a blast using it in the Default Cessna 172 in FSX. I have enabled show Land Data etc in the Menu options for the Map. I know in the Real G1000 it will display the Cities, Highways, Bodies of Water etc. Is this a limitation on the Mindstar GPS? I have set the range to at least 10 miles and I can't get any of the highways, city names etc to appear. Thank You Ben
