I just purchased the GNS 530/430 yesterday, and so far I think it's great that I can use a 'real' gps in the flight sim and fly departures, arrivals, and RNAV approaches. It's REALLY distracting and annoying, though, that the MSG keeps flashing. Near airspace, inside airspace, inside and near airspace, every few seconds while flying an approach it cries out for attention. The MSG light doesn't flash near as much on the real units (and then it usually wants me to change the heading on the OBS). Is there anyway to attenuate the function, have 1 acknowledgement last for the entire approach or disable it during approaches? I have a feeling I know what the answer is,…

I hate to be a pest, but I’ve done something and now the gns isn’t working. I was fooling with the panel.cfg file, and now when I start fsx-se I get an error about a problem with Hypergauge and asking if I want to run it. (Not the question about whether or not I trust the software, but ‘Flight simulator has detected an error...’. If I click yes the program closes. If I click no a message box pops up ‘Hypergauge interface- Failed to load Hypergauge. Check dll.xml and Modules folder.’ I don’t see a dll.xml that’s newer than the gns program (and I don’t know what to check for), and the Hypergauge.dll is in the Modules folder. Hi all, First time user of the Mindstar G1000 software on RealSimGear Perspective system and P3D v3. So far seems to work, but the fonts are way smaller than the real units. hello. my Mindstar GNS 530 for FSX Steam - windows 10 will not select a procedure. while setting letters for the ID they keep changing to an nearby airport but still unable to select a procedure. i cannot delete the GNS because i get an box telling me i don't have permissions to access msiexec.exe . could id get some help with this please? j

Hi friends, I'm really sad cause I have big problem with my ESDG CITATIONX 2.0. I installed and payed with this aircraft since 1 month and had no problem...This morning, as I wanted to make a flight I had an error message (see first picture below)... Hi, In FSX and C172, I have installed GNS530 as Nav 1 and GNS 430 as Nav 2. I have dual KI209s. They work great, but both are being powered by the 530. Any way to get the second KI209 to work off of Nav2? Thanks.

I noticed a possible bug when trying to fly the ARSNL5 departure from KHEF runway 34R. The DP calls for a climb to 800 feet and then a left turn to SHRLI. When flying this DP, the G1000 draws a line to DORGE intersection on the MFD (DORGE is not part of the procedure), and on the PFD it never seems to advance from the initial leg (i.e. I never get the turn to SHRLI). Interestingly, I was in a Redbird AATD at the KHEF yesterday and saw exactly the same thing, which kind of makes me think the same Mindstar software could be running on that box... Hello, For SR22T style G1000, the fuel quantity indicator (vertical bar) in MFD shows a total of only around 25 Gals for each tank (tick marks at 0,5,10,15,20,15,F) . That makes the total quantity only around 50 Gals (like a C172S for example). In SR22T G3, that total quantity should be around 94 Gals. So even when I carry 70% of fuel, the gauge would still be at the maximum position. Is there any way I can solve the issue? Thanks, Howie Wong

Mindstar gns530 P3Dv3 gives C++ Assert error. program (X86)\microsoft visual studio 8\vc\atlmfc\include\atlcomcli.h line 73. Anyone: How do I find the file and how do I fix it? I an not a c++ programmer. Also, I bought this in 2016. Is there a more current version?

I recently purchased the GNS 430 530 basic software based on my review of the " Features Chart for Basic, Advanced, and Professional ". My GPS hardware would require 24 events. The .ini file for the GNS show there were 31 maximum events possible. The chart stated ">80% of the common events" would require the Advanced Edition. My choice based on this was then decided upon. 24 out of 31 events = 77.4%. A no brainer, right? Wrong, the only way to make the software work was to have 23 out of the 31 events, or 74.1%. I called Mindstar and was told that the 80% was "just an estimate". Now mind you 74.1 is not an estimate of 80%, especially when it was written ">8…

Is there any way to get the Saitek multi panel and radio panel to work with the G1000? If not, what other hardware do you guys recommend for controlling the G1000? Preferably something in the non-commercial use price range. Surely you guys aren't tuning those knobs by mouse and pointer right?

gday all. i have lost keyboard input for waypoints, flightplans, procedures [rather than using the click-knobs] it has been working fine for ages and suddenly bam! not working. now i must use the mouse with the click-knobs. does anyone no anything about this problem? it is not a Mindstar issue i don't think. does anyone have any clues? thanks joe

I installed the g1000 and whenever I open the aircraft browser I get a "run time error 5; invalid procedure call or argument" error. How do i fix it ? Thanks

Hi there, I was just wondering if you are going to update the GNS430/530 or enable an option to support the UK's 8.33kHz change which is being rolled out at the moment. I had a quick look and couldn't see anywhere within the GNS to set this so assuming it is not currently an option!? I know this is not an issue if you are using the original simulator data, but I have updated most of my information with current details so I can dial in the correct frequencies. Thanks Rob

Ed, I have the Mindstar G1000s, and the Avidyne glass and the Mindstar 430s (with the STEC gauge) in the Eaglesoft Cirrus. It mentions on your web site that you need a separate licence to use the Stec on other planes - and it does come up locked 🙂 I am looking to match a Stec 55 with the G1000 without AFCS in a Mooney frame (to match real life). I can't find anywhere to buy/activate the STEC separately. Is it available, and does it work with the Mindstar G1000 ? Failing that does anyone have an STEC gauge working with the Mindstar G1000s ? regards PatrickF

Based on the mentioned thread I am still getting black screen in the pop-up window GPS with the Carenado planes. I have done the mod for the default Learjet and is working perfectly.
