Hey everyone I recently bought the Mindstar G1000 add-on for my FSX. Unfortunately, I had to find out that the flight plan function is causing some trouble, a CTD to be more precise. After having read some topics on this forum and also having tested a few things (new fsx.cfg etc.), I decided to reinstall my FSX (by following PMDG's guide - so it's definitively a clean installation). After the re-installation, I only installed some pay-ware sceneries and of course the Mindstar G1000. Sadly, that didn't fix the problem for me. Apologies in advance if this has been already posted/discussed elsewhere. I am thinking about running a stand alone installation of the G1000 on a system I am considering building, but it would have to run on a different machine than the main simulator/visuals host (either Fsx or P3D) for performance reasons. Is this possible? Thanks.

When I install the GNS, at the end I'm getting a message saying that Prepar3D v1 and v3 are installed in the same folder and that I have to correct the problem before I can proceed. However, there's no v1 on my system. I searched the registry for anything v1 related, as well as my hard drives, but nothing is found. What can I do to fix this?

Hi, I'm trying to find a GPS (750) which uses the current navdata of the simulators just like your current GNS 430/530. I would like to buy them but they're old systems. Do you have a plan on releasing a GTN 750 also?

Hello, I'm hoping at least some of my problems are due to inexperience with the G1000 and not all due to bugs. I'm running FSX:SE on Windows 10 and have been using the stock 172 and the Mooney Bravo. I'm having the following problems: - I can't seem to set altitudes for any waypoints in the flight plan (FPL) page once I've loaded a SID/STAR. If I just add simple enroute waypoints to the flight plan I can edit their altitudes, but once I load a procedure I can't edit the altitudes on any of the waypoints any more. I can get to the point where I'm editing the digits in the altitude, but then the ENT key doesn't do anything when I click on it. Hitting the cent…

Is there a way I can make the CRS auto slew to way point entered into the 430 on settings. Also auto slew to next way point as you fly over it. Thanks

I built new PC and installed P3D v3. I moved my airplanes over and reinstalled Mindstar and RealNav. But my GNS430 shows "Advanced License Required Reason Code 16" in an otherwise black screen. Yes, I have 4 displays, 3 up and 1 for the panel but other than that it's a pretty amateur rig.

I recently purchased the Mindstar GNS 430/530 unit for my A2A Piper Comanche running in P3D v3.4 Academic. The A2A Comanche come with a configurator that drops the 530 into the panel correctly and the GNS unit seems to work. I am trying to figure out how it works with flight plans. When I load a flight plan into P3D it is not sending it to the GNS 530. When I use the default P3D GPS in the Comanche, or even any of the other aircraft in P3D, and I load a flight plan it loads to the GPS when I enter the sim and the plane loads. Am I missing something with the GNS 530? Does it have the ability for the sim to load the P3D Flight Plan into the unit as the plane is loaded…

I'm logging this one here to keep track of it. Ed, we've swapped emails for a while but still don't have an answer. Have current versions of Eaglesoft's SR20 and SR22 and have purchased and installed the Mindstar Avidyne Entegra and GNS430 and STEC-55 combination. The Avidynes are working but the twin 430 units both drop out (i.e. go blank) after about one minute of operation. Licencing comes up all green. I have reinstalled with fresh files form Eaglesoft and Mindstar on a clean build but same result. regards

gday ... i am using the GNS530 in FSX all going well did something ... ?? now on FSX startup it cannot load hypergauge.dll sigh ... did a reinstall/reactivation - tried to backtrack ... result is a gps box with a black screen. i need help please. thanks joe

I just installed the G1000 into the stock aircraft, and it works fine until I type in a direct to waypoint or create a flight plan. FSX Steam stops working and crashes to desktop. Does this for any aircraft with Mindstar G1000. I sunk another $40 into a RealNavData update with the same results. FSX Steam, Windows 10/64 bit, AMD processor.

After cloning my system disk last night on my simulator (I ran out of disk space on the old drive), my GNS 530 won't work, displaying only the message 'Navigation Data License is Invalid" (or something close to that). I have a current subscription for quarterly updates of RealNav data. Did I mess something up by cloning my old drive to a new one? -Mark Hargrove

Hi everyone, I installed the EagleSoft DA42 into P3dv3.0. In my simobjects\aircraft\EagleSoft DA42 directory I see two panel folders: Panel Panel.mpi I installed the MindStar G1000. From what I understand, the MindStar G1000 installer will modify the EagleSoft Panel.mpi folder in order for the DA42 to recognize the G1000. I installed the G1000 w/AFCS into an Aero Commander 500 Shrike panel and all seemed to work OK until I tried to use the autopilot FLC mode. When I press the FLC button, I get the correct mode annunciation on the PFD and it immediately starts pitching in the direction of the new altitude target but then the VSI quickly drops back to near zero (<50 fpm) even as I adjust the throttle to climb or descend. The airspeed responds to the throttle changes, but the altitude does not. All other autopilot modes work OK in the AC500S. Also, the FLC mode functions normally in the Mindstar C172SP and C182T w/ AFCS. I don't have any other autopilot, airspeed indicator, or…

I recently purchased the Mindstar 530... downloaded and installed; activated, etc. Would like to utilize a Emuteq interface. But, first, just to get the MS530 to show up.... Trying to use the Carenado A36 and have tried modifying the panel.cfg file with no success. Could someone possibly assist? Specifically, I tried copying the MS gauge.zip file into the gauges folder. I have finally successfully installed Mindstar gns530 into P3d. Right now, it's in a Window01, which is a separate popup window within P3D. I would like to move this to a separate monitor. However, it only stays in the P3D window. How can I accomplish this? I'm having a problem with the G1000 and could use some guidance. I'm running FSX-SE on a Windows 10, 64-bit, PC (i5, 3.2Ghz, 8 Gb RAM). Initially, FSUIPC version 4.959 was installed. No other add-ons. The PC is brand new and all software is up to date. I purchased the G1000 yesterday. The installation was normal and my first flight in the C172 (non-AFCS panel) seemed OK - at first. I was familiarizing myself with the various functions like VOR tracking with the autopilot. Still considering purchase with a few more questions. With RealityXP GNS 530 it had the ability to set a keyboard shortcut to all functions and place them into RealityXP ini file. This enable a person to assign any key to for example the power button, you then take this into FSUIPC . I have a dedicated GNS503 module which I would then use these keyboard shortcuts to assign my buttons to a function. Does Mindstar have keyboard shortcut section also that allows this procedure to happen. I do not use the screen in the VC plane but instead the seperate module in my cockpit panel. Or does Mindstar have another procedure to do the same? Thankyou

My sim is continually crashing (fsx - se and p3dv3 ) when i try to create a flight plan. It always happens when i input the 2nd waypoint.. I always get a unhandled exception error.... I cannot create a flight plan from scratch... I can create a plan with as a simple "direct to " plan but thats it . If i enter the second way point.the sim will stop responding , lock up and then crash within 30 seconds. I have the same issue with the minstar 530 in either fsx- se or p3dv3. please help... Peter

Hello, just bought the G1000 to integrate it in the F1 Cessna Mustang. After installation (was without any problem) and G1000.ini configuration i strted with the panel.cfg modifikation. A great help where the docs from Mindstar webssite. Now my question: In "Installing the G1000 into other MSFS & P3D Aircraft" the use of the 5th parameter is described. What is the difference in the first word of the 0 (=2D cockpit) and 1 (= popup panel), eg: PFD0 or PFD1|Cessna.Mustang. I use no VC, only 2D. So when exactly is the 1 (pop up window) to be used? Hello, I created a window popup using the included MPI_CDIgauge(s) so that I can have vertical guidance during a WAAS approach in aircraft where developers have not provided one. I have found that of the three, GI106A; KI525; KI209, the KI525 gauge will not work for me. So far I have tried the gauge in the RealAir Duke V 2 and LanceAir V1. I am using the latest installer ver 1.08.0020 on a Windows 10 64bit platform. The gauge MPI_CDIGauge.gau file in my FSX (non steam) shows 11/24/2014 10:30AM 10,904kb.
