That's the question, asked repeatedly. Why does Mindstar use RealNav Data instead of Navigraph or NavDataPro from Aerosoft. First and foremost we are a company that makes avionics software for training in the real world. Neither Navigraph nor NavDataPro can be legally licensed/used in a training environment. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. We have found that some C172 airplanes that are configured with our G1000, in the configurations that use the GFC-700 autopilot (also known as AFCS) are experiencing some autopilot problems, most noticeably in heading mode. The solution involves a change to the C172 aircraft.cfg file. In the section titled [autopilot] There is a setting: flight_director_available=0 This should be set to flight_director_available=1

I've got my GPS buttons programmed to a hardware controller (VRInsight T&T) and always had this working for the native GPS, but now I've changed some aircrafts to the Mindstar GNS my controller setup doesnt work for those aircrafts. I assume the Mindstar GNS isnt working with the standard controller functions from P3D/FSUIPC, as is the case for with sophisticated addons. Can it be I'm doing something wrong, or is there another way to connect the Mindstar GNS to a hardware controller?

Hi GPS-VR is installed and registered, but when I start a flight in FSX it will not connect to Foreflight. Ipad and computer is on the same wifi and Mindstar is allowed through the firewall. What can possible be wrong?

Hi Ed I manage 5 professional licence installations of your 32 bit G1000 software and experience the following crashes across all 5. When selecting Activate Leg on the first waypoint of an arrival procedure, the software freezes and then crashes P3D v3. I assume this is happening as your software doesn't transition between procedures as it should do. We have updated a couple of the sims to the latest installer on your website still with the same results. While we have learnt to live with the sequencing behaviour by using DTO in many cases, it is frustrating when our students attempt to activate legs as they should be able to and have their whole session grind to…

I lodged a support request via your website on 1 July 2023 regarding the Stec-55X gauge showing a "Gauge is not registered" message. I had a reply from Billy Winburn on 4th July that "we''ll look into this". The request was numbered 7228. Since then - no further messages. Contacted support over two (2) weeks ago, had to Email twice to get support ticket, then nothing, Emailed again, same ticket started reply. Simple request, having trouble to resister all software purchased. Rebuilding PC, can’t register the software. Company has the right not to accommodate this request, all they have to do is say that. Every other software supplier has helped when needed. No person can plan when a hard drive crashes. if I get someone’s attention I will provide my name and ticket.

Hello all, just wanted to share my experience with Mindstar Aviation. The product itself it’s good nothing to say about that, but their support service is the worst I have ever experienced in my entire life. They are really strict about their activation policy. You can only activate the product twice and then you have to contact them to receive support and they never reply or follow up. If they do really terrible service a waste of €50 it has been several months. That I’ve been trying to use the product I’ve purchased, check yourself latest tickets I have opened. Hello, i managed to solve the issue that prevented the activation code with my computer. However i receive i message stating that i have activated the product already twice and i need to contact support to remove one device. I already contacted them but i’m sorry to say they never reply. I also tried buying a new license because i need the software and even the website is not working ! I understand you might have a lot of support requests but it’s really not fair. Hello all, it has been several months i am trying to solve an issue that i have with the G1000 activation, i’ve sent several requests to support but they never helped. It’s quite frustrating. Someone already asked this and said it has been solved contacting support. When i try and activate the software i receive the following error: “The server issued activation codes but they did not work on your computer, either try again or contact support” I tried deleting and re installing but i can’t find any way to solve this. Not sure if you have made any decisions/announcements on this topic so please excuse me if there is already something out there that I have not seen. Are you contemplating supporting this sim? The reason I ask is that a number of the aircraft in the sim have the G1000 avionics suite and I would be VERY interested in getting a high fidelity G1000 in these aircraft.

I’m running the G1000 PANEL – basic on a Windows XP SP 3 machine with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. (I know its an old system but the G1000 gauge works glitch and frame freeze free). Today I tried to fly approaches at KMTN Martin State Airport. The “Direct To” function to KMTN works, however if I try to fly any of the approaches, the G1000 will not load or activate the approach. It deactivates the “Direct To” function currently flying and freezes the simulator requiring a reboot if I try to clear the procedure. All my other airports and approaches activate fine. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I just saw that the product page for the GNS 530/430 states that it is compatible with MSFS? Can anybody confirm that it really works just like in P3D, with a 2d pop-up window that can be dragged to another monitor? I'm asking because I never read any news about it being compatible and after MSFS was released Mindstar was skeptical if the SDK even allowed for their product to be ported over to MSFS.

Hello , How are you ? I have problems with waypoints duplicate in almost all departure as example attached and I would also like to know why I can't see the ETE into FPL. Hi, my name is Matias Avila, i bought the GN430/530 advanced license from your website. I have tried for a week that your support give me a solution. My credit card was charged but the webpage didn´t recognise it, i gave all the information neccesary to Billy Winburn but i don´t get any further response or solution.
