I updated to P3d 3.4 by uninstalling the previous version and doing a full install. When installing this GPS, I'm facing a problem: The installation reported a problem with the gauge CANCEL\gauges\gaugemapmpi.bin. I tried to use it anyway, but it crashed everytime I tried to enter a waypoint in the FPL. Api.dll crash I then uninstalled and deleted manually the remaining gauges and the following reinstallation reported no problems, but the issue is still there! One more thing: the RealNav Data Updater says the 1610 cycle is already installed. However, during the GPS startup it shows the old default airac cycle as installed. I reported this issue through the [email protected] channel on Oct 13. I finally got a reply on Oct 17 suggesting an outdated FSUIPC version might be the cause. On Oct 18 I replied that I'm using the latest version of FSUIPC. Now, a week later, I'm still waiting to hear back with a solution to the problem. Has Mindstar Support gone into hibernation? I would really like to be able to enter a flight plan in the Mindstar G1000 that's installed in my Eaglesoft DA42, every attempt to do so leads to a CTD. Please help!

Does anyone know if there is a checklist file for a Cessna C182T for the G1000. In the G1000.ini file it states this file as being an xml file. Any information on how to make one would be helpful. Checklist File Filename of a pseudo-XML style text file that defines the aircraft checklist items to be displayed in the G1000 screens. The filename can be fully qualified with a path, or if no path is included, the file is assumed to exist in the InstallDir (usually Program Files (x86) \ Mindstar \ Flight Simulator Addons) Gary

I am contunually getting freezes in my sim p3d v3 and fsx-steam when using the mindstar 530.. this happen whenever I add a waypoint to t flight plan I do not get this when I use any other plane. and or gps I used the RealNav update. This must be a known issue. I can reproduce this every time in both sims I uninstalled the a2a 182 aircraft and reinstalled.. I cannot load the gps without the ctd or sim freeze.. any ideas?? Good evening. After suffering a major crash that required re-installing windows I am receiving the "elevated license required" message. I would like remove any previously authorized machines and register my current one. Thank you!

Can't seem to get this G1000 licensed appropriately. Have started the sim as administrator and can't seem to get the g1000 operations. Keeps saying "elevated license required" on the PFD and MFD keeps saying its initializing. I have run out of registrations thinking that might be the issue. Any help would be appreciated. AG

Hello, I recently purchased a G1000 Hardware system from Noble Simulations in PA. It is a two video display with buttons controlled by an opened cockpits USB board and encoder knobs the run by two Leo Bordnar boards. I was trying to run it in x-plane with simavio and was able to get in partially working with that setup but several things would either not work at all or not work properly. Later I found out from Austin Meyers author and owner of x-plane said that there is no G1000 support unless you by his commercial version of x-plan and a professional simulator. Good Day, I have been away from flightsim for a time, and did not have the opportunity to try the proposed solution to my issue (see post "GNS 530 Missing Waypoints" from 5/16/2016). I recently resumed simming and after some initial problems was able to update to the latest Mindstar gauge. I now show the following: MPI_GNS = 8/26/2016 2:58pm Database Cycle 160 from RealNav. The GPS works perfectly in my home region of central PA. However I am still unable to load waypoints in California, which is really taking away from my utilization of Pilot Edge. I have downloaded a Citation ISP airplane (from http://flyawaysimulation.com/) with steam gauges and am trying to redo the panel using the Mindstar G1000 package. Hi there, I've recently purchased the GNS 430/530 and a RealNav subscription. The possibility to update the database was the main thing I was after and I am satisfied with it. However, seeing that the product page points to the manual of the real deal, I was kinda disappointed to find out that half of it doesn't work. I'm talking about the map page groups on the second nav page, the aux pages and the terrain on the 430. I didn't try the 530 yet, but I expect it to have the same features, or the lack there of. After updating to P3D 3.4, I can no longer enter a flight plan into the GNS: as soon as I hit the ENTER key to confirm the first way point, P3D crashes without any error message. I already contacted Mindstar support, and obviously FSUIPC (latest version) causes the crash - when deactivating fsuipc.dll, the Mindstar GNS works without any problem. Anyone else noticed this? Just wanna give a big applause to the Mindstar support team! They are fast responding and very professional, helped me out quickly with an issue on the DB key. One question: I will soon go for a new PC - how can I migrate my Mindstar license to the new machine? I guess, the DB key is somewhat linked to the hardware, and do not want to loose my RealNav subscription. Thanks, and stay cool :-) Thomas

I have the Mindstar GNS530 and purchased the RealNav data which is valid until 3/2017. First update in Feb this year worked fine. I was not using the Garmin then for a while...today I wanted to updated the database with the Navupdate program (in the Mindstar folder), but it says I a have no valid subscription. I checked at realnavdata.com using my E-Mail address and the invoice number and found my subscription data, however it shows a different DB key than the one I have installed on my computer (shown by the Navupdate App). I have just one PC...only one license from Mindstar and from RealNavdata...how comes that the DB-keys do no longer match? Thanks, Thomas

I would like to use SimConnect to send commands to your G1000 add-on but I would like to know if there is anything else I need to add to my program in order to do that? other than SimConnect.dll and plenty of programming that is Do I need to add a reference to anything installed by the G1000 installer?

Now, my 2nd monitor has kicked the button but I hope to soon get a replacement to fly again with 2 monitors. My question is, if I use FSX in full screen mode can I dock the G1000 PFD and MFD on the second monitor for easier access? or is it only possible to use them in the virtual cockpit with the zoom feature?

I am interested in using the FAIL_*_SET G1000 SimConnect variables to set and reset the failure of various G1000 subsystems. My questions are... 1. Is there any way to interrogate the G1000 via SimConnect about the current state of the failure (active/inactive)? 2. When I use the FAIL_*_SET with a 1/0 value, how do I know that it has actually been accepted and (de)activated? is there an event I can register for that purpose? or is it all blind in that I must assume that it did what I asked it to do?

Hello, I've seen this topic before, but I am not able to solve my own issue. The GNS boots up with the latest installed cycle from Real Nav Data as 1607 and the software ver in aux pages confirms this. My latest gauge dates are mpi_cdigauge 11-24-14, mpi_gns 8-19-16. I have downloaded the latest ver a few times and reinstalled as per the instructions using the admin process. I've reinstalled the real nav data a few times and run the activation process a few times for the gauge. Non of this seems to work. None of the waypoints I am trying are recognizable. This def seems to be system related. Not sure what else to to do. Thanks Steve

Hi, I've tried to change from inhg to hpa by depressing KAP140 baro button for a long time but it does not have an effect. Is there any way for changing the altimeter setting of KAP140 to hPa? G1000.ini solved the same problem in G1000. Rgds, Tommi

As RXP has been dead for so long, I consider buying Mindstar, but is there anywhere a comprehensive list of what the GNS530/430 set simulates? There is a lot of information about what it cannot, like Terrain and VNAV, however, the updates are coming and the things change... Namely, is it possible, after powering up the unit, open the FPL page and create a new flight plan by entering points like in a real unit (not through FSX planner or other external program)? What options of working with flight plans are supported? Will I be able to store them and retrieve later?
