I was having trouble making the GNS530 work in the virtual cockpit of the A2A Cessna 172 in Prepar3d 2.2. While trying to fix this I removed and reinstalled the Mindstar GNS to a new location (outside of “Program Files”). I was careful to remove the license first, but the installer crashed while contacting the server to "un-register" it. Now I’ve reinstalled I’m unable to register again using online registration, the installer tells me “The server issued activation codes, but they did not work on your computer.” What should I do next? I contacted support via email yesterday but have yet to receive a response.

Hi I'm no expert but I have installed Mindstar 530 in the PC12 virtual cockpit and also as a 'pop up'. However, the pop up only works by pressing 'shift 2'. It does not operate through the usual click hotspot on screen of the GPS VC unit. Can you explain how to correct this please? Thank you. Hi. I didn't have used my mindstar G1000 for a long time (personnal issue). Now, i could start re using Fsx and i wondered if the G1000 support turboprop now ? (like the Quest Kodiak) regards,

Just purchased the G1000 and was disappointed to find that I could not enter airways in the flight planner (the LD AIRWY softkey did not do anything). Was I doing something wrong, or does the Mindstar G1000 not have airways?

Hello Is there a way to make the airport / fixes labels larger in the GNS530 screen, unfortunately for me they are too small to read even when zoomed in. Thank you

Hi On 530 - Procedures now seems to have one option - Select Approach. All the others - SIDS and STARS etc are greyed out. Don't know is this is following 2.4 P3d update? They were certainly working great last month. Can you help please? Thanks.

HI After purchasing realnavdata my GNS starts with an error Message : "Missing realnavdata or the demo is out. Contact technical support " in P3dV2.3 . I have W7/64 . In the Programmdata folder I found hte cycle 1410 Data but it seems the GNS dont find the navdata. How can I fix that. Thank you ! Greetings from Germany Andy

I bought the GNS 530 and I am very satisfied. Under P3D 2.3 I have the problem that appear in the program end two error messages that refer to GNS dlls. That would not be so bad but so are the panel states, when saving a flight is not stored properly. This is really very annoying. Is there a solution for this or when there will be one?

Hi all- Just checked back in after some time with hopes of finding some positive info about VNAV and WAAS. Didn't see anything on Mindstar's site (except that WAAS would be here eventually) so I figured I'd visit here and ask. Any info? thanks Andrew

this is in P3D 2.3 I seem to missing something. I am doing this in the A2A Cessna.and P3D 2.3 I have the 530 in the dash of the plane in VC ,when I click the screen it becomes a window which I can dock but the screen disappears from the dash. What I would like to do (have been doing this with RealityXP ). Have the 530 screen showing in the VC dash but also pick from the Views section the Mindstar 530 GNS which I would drag(undock) to a dedicated GPS screen. They would both be working at the same time. In the Reality setup I also have it so the buttons are removed (resized screen) as the dedictaed screen has its own buttons. this is from my Panel.CFG […

Hi, I have installed the GNS gauges on P3Dv2.2 and FSX. In FSX all is well, but in P3Dv2.3 I only see the bezels without an active screen. No reaction when I try push any buttons, only a black screen. What can be wrong? Thanks.

The switch to P3D ver 2.3 brings up a few questions. If I purchase Mindstar Aviation GNS 430/530 simulation can I do the following. I have a dedicated GPS screen that has all the buttons for the GNS 530, and would like to be able to undock Mindstar and move to this screen.Is this possible? The setup I have right now(Reality GNS 530), the popup window for the GPS has the buttons removed to allow the docking into the dedicated GPS screen.Is this possible? All buttons and dials are setup using Fsuipc . Is this possible? Thank you

Has anyone had the KAP140 stop working after installing the G1000 in Eaglesoft's DA42? The buttons are all there on the 2d, 3d, and pop up panels but the display is not showing. I don't know if it actually controlls the airplane (I guess I'll go try that in a second.) I did get the latest update, but it didn't help. I know Eaglesoft's equipment is notorious for getting moody after add ons are installed, but since the Twin Star was made with the MPI G1000 in mind I can't imagine this is an Eaglesoft problem.

Not a major problem, but I noticed that with the GNS in the VC panel, the left and underside of the LCD fall behind the frame of the front plate and the upper and right side show a white border. In other words, the LCD is not correctly centered in it's frame. The pop-up GNS doesnt have this problem, it's only the one in VC panel. Is there something I can do to fix this?

So far I've been using GNS in aircrafts I mostly use for VFR flights and with setting up the flight plan in the GNS, it all seemed to work just fine. Only yesterday I loaded up the Carenado B1900D for an IFR flight and to get ATC respond to IFR I created an IFR plan in P3D flight planner and programmed the route on the GNS, but when I opened ATC there were only VFR options there, preventing me from requesting IFR from ATC. Is this the way GNS functions and do I have to use another method for IFR planning to be able to use ATC, or is this a bug in the system I can fix?

This is in P3d v2.2 using the RA duke V2. Navdata updated via Realnav tool. Route was ENCN-ENHD, with routing N0219F220 SUBUX (VIA SUBUX6B) EVRUS ZOL. I copied the FP to route # 2. All good, and around EVRUS, I added the ZOL8V arrival via pressing PROC and selecting the STAR, and pressing ENT to load. When I returned to the FPL page, it was just blue (both pages). Pressing the Menu key made the background faded (like normal), but the menu itself never came up. As I was unable to reload any FPL, I tried a DCT TO ENHD, but the GNS was unable to find the airfield. It just came up with nothing but was suggesting Russia (!?) as the country of search? I tried…

When I switch to an aircraft that does not have Mindstar GNS 430/530 installed from one that does, FSX crashes. I have seen on forums that this is a known issue. Is there an ETA when this will be fixed or is there a work around? Right now I am stuck. My default aircraft has GNS 430 installed so I cannot switch to another aircraft to make that the default. Any help will be appreciated.

The title says it best. We've just completed Mindstar Dual GNS430 Integration in Eaglesoft Cirrus SR22GTSX Turbo for both FSX and P3DV2!

I just bought and installed the GNS package, for one aircraft, so far and everything seems to work just fine, except when I've been in program menus, or at least the ones that load something when you exit like choosing new aircraft, loading saved flight or refreshing scenery library, P3D stops repsonding and a little later CTD. What can I do to solve this?

It's taken me longer to get around to this, but here are the GNS 530/430 integrated in full 3D in the Milviz C310R. I deliberately shot this at night to show how nicely it lights up even at night, and blends in seamlessly with the rest of the 3D virtual cockpit. I am also very, VERY impressed with the solid 66 fps. It surely illustrates quite graphically how efficiently these units are programmed, that's for sure and certain! There will also be a version with dual GNS 430 units for those who prefer this arrangement. Full 3D integration for the Beech B55 release will be forthcoming within the next week or so.

I know the Seneca was just released, but I'll be curious to know if anyone has successfully integrated the Mindstar units. If past history is any indicator, it'll be a no go, but I am hoping Carenado will finally see the light. I'm holding off on purchasing the Seneca until I know for sure. Todd

Will there be any further updates to the 430/530? Any new features or refinements perhaps?

I purchased GNS 430/530 Simulation and I do not see it appear on the panel of the C172 Minsdstar version. I do see it as a pop up window under Views à Instrument Panel à GNS Panel. I would expect it to be on the instrument panel as well. Is it supposed to be on the panel or just as a pop-up? Do I need to set it in the panel myself or is it supposed to be in the panel after installation.
