I have been battling the installation of an RXP gps unit in my A2A 182 for a few days now, and am seriously considering giving up and trying a Mindstar unit, but I don't want to jump out of the frying pan into the fire. So, Has anyone out there installed a Mindstar gps in an A2A 182, and if so, can you tell me about the process? What kind of installer comes with it, and were you able to use it on the 182? I'm running FSXse on Windows 10. Thanx in advance.

Just starting to research the possibilities so let me ask... is it possible to use your G1000 panel on a separate PC display on a client Win10 setup connecting via simconnect or FSUIPC using MSFS? I have been using other gauge software (individual steam gauges and glass panels), that were originally designed for FSX but have used them through the years in P3Dv1 thru v5.1 and even using them now in MSFS. The gauges are not integrated into a particular aircraft nor is required for them to work. Does your G1000 have that same flexibilty? Has it ever been tested in that framework? Thx.

Need some tech help. Had to do an image restore because my Win 10 became corrupt. Everything seemed to work well before but now I have 2 problems I can’t figure out: one with your GNS 430/530 program and one with your VR ForeFlight add-on. You fixed my HyperGauge problem a while back and it hasn’t returned, but it’s odd that everything else worked normally then but now they don’t. 1. The GNS 530 doesn’t work when I attempt a GPS approach, e.g. doesn’t shift to VLOC upon passing the IF point and the glidescope does not move. Localizer indicator functions normally, though. I am having trouble with the Mindstar AVidyne / GNS430 software. Win8.1 PC. FSX. First flight after installation I had no issues when I loaded a four WP Flight plan on the GNS flight plan page. Later, trying to fly again , when in the flight plan page, after making a WP entry and hitting the ENT btn, FSX gets a fatal error and restarts. Continues to happen no matter what i try. I do have the Minstar folder excluded from the MS DEF antiVirus. I do have FSUIPC vers 4.974. ANYone seen this before? Wayne T.

Hello I bought Mindstar G1000 and Realnav for FSX for my kid to get some G1000 training on the approaches he will be shooting in training. I think I am in the same boat as the guy who posted below. At first we had the administrator error, then uninstalled Mindstar and reinstalled it as the administrator. Now we get the "Failed to load Hypergauge. Check dll.xml and modules folder." I’m getting that annoying error message: “failed to load HyperGauge. Check your DLL.XML, ” each time I open MSFS FSX. I get an outline of the 530 GPS but the screen is blank and the buttons are dead. I’m no “IT” guy so I can’t go sleuthing very deep into the cptr. Email messages to Mindstar and phone calls for tech support help have gone unanswered, so I'm trying to solve the mystery from what I could glean from the internet and this forum. Hello Mindstar, I was researching adding FSX data to Foreflight on my iPad so I decided to give GPS VR a try. After completing the registration and setup, per the instructions I started FSX:SE. However, I never see GPS VR pop up as a device on my iPad. Obvious answers to some questions would be yes, the PC and iPad are on the same subnet (I can get other products to send data to foreflight but wanted to try the AHRS stuff so trying GPS VR), running FSX:SE as administrator and various other tests. Hello I bought the Mindstar G1000 Advanced licence. I want to use the PFD and MFD in separate monitors (VGA 800x600). I'm using the Carenado KingAir 200 and following the retrofit instructions I create 2 new popup windows for PFD and MFD. My PC has a really good performance on Prepar3d V3.4, I get 90 fps on Carenado King Air 200 however when I open the G1000 (PFD and MFD) windows the value of FPS drops dramatically from 90fps to 18fps. I try to change the SHOW_ALL_INSTANCES to OFF and to ON as well, but continue the FPS isuue. I have the Mindstar G1000 and it is working beautifully. I have installed it successfully in a number of Aircraft both with AFCS and separate Autopilots. I have a working version of each in the Lionheart DA40 using the Diamond DA-40 style. I have not been able to do a version with the GFC-700 buttons on the MFD only as in the real aircraft. ref: I have tried combining the Non AFCS PFD with the AFCS MFD but this doesn't seem to work. Ed, firstly hope all you guys on that side of the (big) pond are doing ok. I've been using your products for many years, both the GNS and the G1000 with updates on the Nav Data. I have the G1000 in a pretty good copy of our actual plane (Mooney Ovation) and it works very well. I have recently been using the G1000 a lot more for practice as I'm doing an instrument rating and have a couple of minor issues that I'd like to check. A. Hi everyone, just wanted to confirm if cas messages show on the pop up pfd. I went through the mindstar website and it mentions alerts in the feature list. I couldn’t find a message in the forum on anyone having a similar issue so decided to post. I have the carenado phenom 300 and p3d v3. During startup cas messages should come up on the pfd. I can see them in the virtual cockpit which has the carenado pfd. But I don’t see the same messages in my mindstar pop up pfd. Have I made some mistake in configuring the pop up panel? Regards, Ali

Hello I bought the advance license for Mindstar G1000. PFD and MDF work great but I can't activate the RFD, only a black screen appers in the popup window. Hi, I recently noticed that a new version of G1000 was released 3.06.0000, so I upgraded my installation from 2.11.0030 to this version. I found the new version fixed several problems I had in the old version and supported 8.33kHz spacing. Great job! While enjoying the new version, I found two remaining problems: - For Turbo 182T model, when BATT MASTER is on, even if AVIONICS switch is off, the MFD would still power up (although the COM2 and NAV2 are being crossed out when AVIONICS is off, which is correct). Hello, Is the Mindstar GNS 430/530 capable of LPV approaches? It says on the Mindstar website that it is WAAS enabled, so I assumed that it would be able to; however, I attempted to fly a few LPV approaches in the A2A skyhawk with the 430, and while I got a glidepath indication on the CDI, the 430 did not identify the approach as "LPV" - instead, it simply says that it is in "APP." The real 430/530 typically says whether it is in LPV, LNAV, LNAV + V, etc, but for some reason the mindstar GNS only says "App" whenever I use it for a GPS approach. Thanks

While activating the ILS approach from the load approach window P3D v3 repeatedly crashes. I have an image of this happening and would love to send it to someone. Please advise if i am doing something incorrectly as I have about 500 hours in the real plane. The version I have installed is 2.11.0019 and my P3D version is 3.3.5.17625. My simconnect version is 3.3.0.

What is the best way to have a rotary encoder communicate with the Mindstar GNS 430 to change radio frequencies? I can get it to change the standby com frequency, but how can I get the 'Push C/V' feature to work and then change the standby nav frequency?

Hello, The system keeps crashing every time I try to set up a FLP. After I have inputted the first waypoint, simulator crashes and closes by itself. No matter how much I try. It does the same at that particular time. System is Win10 64 bit. Mooney Mindstar g1000 panel ANy help?
