Right here goes. Being a complete numpty I am having difficulty in starting a flight. Using the world map I can select the airport etc and then click on ready to fly and then I am taxied to run way. At this point I have control and take off . All well and good but that leaves a lot out and I see from videos that you can start from assorted positions. There are no videos that I can see that show how I get to a parked position where I can do my cockpit checks start up procedure and then taxi to the runway. All help appreciated. And I dont mind you falling about laughing at my ignorance.

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section, please move if it is. Been having a problem since su5 that I have no flight eta or distance showing on the world map when planning a flight. Can anyone please suggest anything I could do ive done as much as i know how including 3 or 4 fresh installs and reported to zen desk, posted in the official ms forum and a few fb and discord groups and am still non the wiser. I have found a quick fix but its not ideal as it winds me up and gives me stress before I even try to fly hassle free. The fix is to exit out of the world map and re enter the world map at that stage I have 1 or both airport boxes missing on the map b…

I'm having some problems working the WT G1000. After loading the departure, how do you load an approach at the destination? I've entered the starting airport and the destination airport and got the depature. After that, I can't get the G1000 knob to highlight the "Load?" option. It worked when I set up the departure, but I don't understand what I'm doing worng/differently for the approach.

Very good, returning to the simulator after a while, I decided to add a little more professionalism using the navigation charts, but there are certain things that I cannot understand, I hope you can guide me a bit. I am going to make a flight from SKVV (Villavicencio-Colombia) to SKBO (Bogota-Colombia), this flight will do with VFR procedures. The SKVV navigation chart shows the following: Chart SKVV Now tracing the route by little Nav Map, I see that the destination airport (SKBO), would be making an exit towards the WEST .... Little Nav Map So the navigation chart tells me the following: SKVV So tracing that output in the little N…

Hi all, So, getting more into flying outside of Europe and further East..aka, going to the west. I wanted to do a flight from Chicago. However, when selecting the runway (22L) I only had one start., ORD6. Fine, I guess, but none of the transitions (since when does a SID have transitions?) worked towards my flightplan. made by simbrief: DCT OLINN DCT OREOS DCT OBENE DCT OGALE DCT LNK J146 GLD DCT PUB J64 RSK/N0448F360 DCT JASSE Q90 DNERO ANJLL4 Any tips what I should look for? IS it the scenery (MSFS FS dreamteam). Cheers Vic

I am trying to get to grips with this planner, but navigraph wants me to generate an OFP, however, I do not seem to have the required button on the simbrief page, I have the option to generate the flightplan, but cannot find the OFP button as such, however, the generated flightplan does refer to itself as an OFP, however, when I try to import to navigraph it says I don't have a saved OFP, I am logged in properly. Totally confused.

Haven't been into the sim for some time. I downloaded WT cj4 update 12.8 and the FMS looks like the default FMS not the outstanding WT version. Don't know what I did to it. Anyone else had this happen? Tried going back to 12.5 but had the same result? At a loss.

Hello, so most of the time I use SimBrief to plan my flights and will also sometimes use PFPX if SB doesn't have the profile for the plane I want to fly. I also use AS for the weather. On most flights, I will use whatever altitude is recommended in the FMC, however I find that sometimes I will check on the flight and find the plane bouncing around to wind or turbulence and will descend to a lower altitude to reach smoother air. So when planning my flight how do I check the weather for the points along my route at the altitude I want to fly to make sure I avoid any strong winds or turbulence? This would be especially helpful for long haul flights when I can't b…

Hi, I have just started to fly again after a number of years away and have just recently downloaded MSFS just to get back into it. Previously a driver of PMDG Level d etc with over 20 years online flying behind me so I'm not a newbie by any stretch, I was with SATCO before Vatsim so I've been around :-) I am stumped on the flight planning and the FMC, i have entered a flight using both the inbuilt software and simbrief for a flight from Sydney to Melbourne and while it shows the correct levels and route as well as top of decent in both which is great but.......in the FMC it will show FL40K all the way to final. I have tried to change it in the legs page by enter…

When I create a flight plan using LNM (version 17) I cannot pick the runway I wish to use. For example, flying out of Linden, NJ (KLDJ) always picks runway 27 even though my plan is flying east toward New York. If I fly the plan as is I need to spend time turning the plane to line up with my east bound flight plan. If I change the departure runway to 09, which lines me up perfectly I lose all my way points. Is there a way to let me choose when I am exporting the plan to MS 2020. Any ideas greatly appreciated, Henry

Can anyone offer advice about selecting the minimum safe altitude (MSA) for a desired route? Little Navmap used to do that for me, but that function has quit working recently. I'm sure there are maps that would help, but I haven't found them yet. THANKS!!!

Hi, I am trying to understand how to fly the RNAV F runway 23 approach into NZQN. If I interpret the approach chart correctly I have to adhere to the following constraints: Waypoint IBABU - between 12,000 & 10,000 ft Waypoint QN529 - 8,600 ft Waypoint QN537 - 8,600 ft & Max IAS 185 kt Waypoint GUSAS (FAF) - 6,200 ft Now GUSAS is approx 8.2 miles from the runway. The airport elevation is 1,100 ft, so I need to descend 5,100 feet in 8.2 miles. If you apply the 1,000 ft / 3 mile rule, I would need approx 15 miles to descend 5,000 feet. Is my interpretation of the approach chart correct? How do you descend to the runway? Thanks …

Is NADP 2 the standard nowadays? If so is NADP1 still used, if so which airports (I think John Wayne is one) also would I find anything in Navigraph charts to depict which to use? Thanks

I was just wondering: are in real life SIDS and STARS most of the time flown on Autopilot, or is it also common practice to fly them manually? And are they generally used at all in GA aircraft or mostly not?

I know Flex temperature aka Assumed Temperature is a ting on multi-engine Turboprop, but what about Single Engine Turboprop then? Specifically for PC12 I'm flying in P3D, but also for similair one like TBM900 etc... From it's POH's performance charts, it's easy to workout just as if it's a MET or MEJ, and I have done it for quite a while without thinking too hard and works without problem in the sim But when I starting to practice the "impossible turn" for PC12, I just relized it's different beasts from multi-engine jets I used to work with, and wonder if FLEX/ATM legal, or pratical to do so in realword, thanks.

Is there a quick and easy way to see if an airport has ILS/RNAV capabilities? For example, in Little Navmap, I can tell if an airport has such capabilities, especially ILS, as denoted by a green approach vector overlaying on the map with its appropriate heading. I also use skyvector, but don't see a quick an easy way to see ILS/RNAV approaches at a glance except for right-clicking on an airport in the flight plan field and seeing what plates it has. I fly GA aircraft and favor smaller airports, but would like it if those airports has the aforementioned capabilities. Looking up plates for an airport is kind of tedious while I just want a quick look. Right now, Li…

Choosing a landing runway is usually simple for me, take a look at the airports metar and choose the runway thats closest to the wind direction, or if there is atc, take a look at the atis and plan the approach from there, but the other day i was landing in Lisbon (LPPT), on vatsim, the airport was uncontrolled at that time, so no atis, but the winds were coming from 290º, now lisbon has 4 runways, 2 of them, runways 17 and 35 are for the most part deactivated and usually serve as a taxiway, so were left with runways 03 and 21, now 21 is closest to 290, right? so i thought, but after taking a look at flightradar i noticed that aircraft were landing 03, others on vatsim we…

Still brand new with LittleNavMap. Is there some way during flight planning to set a different flight level for individual waypoints? I would like to begin descending much sooner than the calculated TOD, especially if I have to set a very high flight level to clear a high mountain. I would like to then set a much lower altitude after passing that obstacle. Thanks! dale

Sorry if this not the best forums for this question but I figured it was the closest one to what I need help with So I would really love to try and do this flight in P3D, but I am bot sure if there are any aircraft capable of handling this and staying withing all the regulations. So is there any aircraft that is capable of making this flight if I don't have any passengers or cargo? I think the 777-200LR can just barely make it when empty but not sure if you would have enough reserves or not.

I am using Little Navmap to create a short hop from PHTO to PHNL. I have checked flightaware to see what the real world route is and it's V22 OKALA V16 LNY Since Little Navmap doesn't accept airways, how would I enter this route into the flight plan manually so that it matches the route?
