	  So I won't step climb if it's not scheduled in the F-PLAN in a narrow body generally, since it's very easy to exceed the MLW in some heavy load flight scenario, then I'll have to descend sooner to burn the fuel I saved, so that doesn't make any sense in most of the time.
</p>

<p>
	  But when comes to wide body, it's something completely different, 'cause I won't use all the capability of the plane in most of my wide body flight, so even if I step climbed to save some fuel , it won't exceed the MLW, but this caused bias against the F-PLAN, so I don't know if it's right to do so. <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tZC21_AcxHDloycjTmNJnhu_vcaXkPQo/view?usp=drive_link" rel="external nofollow">Example</a> in the Pic.

	<strong>I have three issues all focusing on England and flight plans.</strong>
</p>

<p>
	1. I am trying to load a flight plan where the starting airport is in England, but the FS2004 Flight Planner will not load it. It will load flight plans when the starting airport is outside of England, for example in Germany. I have created these flight plans using Plan-G.
</p>

<p>
	2. Furthermore, when I try to create a flight plan using the FS2004 Flight Planner, I cannot SAVE the flight plan when the starting airport is in England.
</p>

<p>
	3. I created a flight plan, again using Plan-G where the starting airport was in Germany and it terminated in England. About half way through that flight my FS2004 CTD. I looked in the Events Viewer and saw the error and it listed the TERRAIN.DLL as being the problem.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What I have attempted to do:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	I have UT-Europe installed. I have tried to disable it, but that did not resolve anything.
</p>

<p>
	I have deactivated all of my aircraft with the exception of one, and that wasn't the issue.
</p>

<p>
	Using my Scenery Config Editor, I deactivated all of my scenery for the UK and surrounding countries - that didn't resolve anything.
</p>

<p>
	Just as a side note - at first, as soon as I tried to use the FS2004 Flight Planner my FS2004 would CTD. I did find one file in my FS2004/SCENERY/EURW/Scenery folder that was corrupt, and replaced it. That eliminated the CTD problem.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I am running my FS2004 on a Windows 10 computer. I have plenty of memory and hard drive space.
</p>

<p>
	I sure would appreciate any guidance anyone can offer. I have been fight this issue for the past week.
</p>

<p>
	Thank you, very much.
</p>

	Hey everyone, I've been working on a free web tool called SimLetsFly and wanted to share it here for some feedback.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	The idea is simple — it's a random flight generator for sim pilots. You set your criteria (location, distance, airport size, runway type, fuel, nav aids) and it finds you a random departure and arrival pairing you'd never think to plan yourself. Great for bush flying, airline ops, GA — whatever you fly.  SimLetsFly is not a full flight planner — once you have your airports, use your simulator or preferred tools to plan the actual route (VFR/IFR, SID/STAR, etc). Think of it as your destination picker.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	<strong>What it does:</strong>
</p>

<ul style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	<li>
		Filters by continent/country/region, airport type, runway surface, length, fuel, and nav aids (ILS/VASI/ALS)
	</li>
	<li>
		Pulls live METAR weather for both airports with a plain-English decoder
	</li>
	<li>
		Shows distance, bearing, and estimated flight time based on your cruise speed
	</li>
	<li>
		Route map with departure and arrival plotted
	</li>
	<li>
		Copy a full flight brief to clipboard
	</li>
</ul>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	<strong>Free account features:</strong>
</p>

<ul style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	<li>
		Save flights to your own logbook
	</li>
	<li>
		Rate your flights across 8 categories (takeoff, landing, procedures, ATC, scenery, etc.)
	</li>
	<li>
		Add pilot notes and mark flights as completed
	</li>
	<li>
		Share any flight via a public link — anyone can open it and save it to their own account
	</li>
	<li>
		Pin your home airports as favorites
	</li>
</ul>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#353c41;font-size:14px;">
	It works in the browser, no install needed. Check out the "Help" button for more information located on the site. (Feedback button is also on the help page)
</p>

	I posted this on the Navigraph forum also ... my post is not intended to ruffle feathers, I think Navigraph and SimBrief are EXCELLENT tools and worth every penny.  Maybe my use case is just not correct?
</p>

<p>
	BUT, I don't understand why we have two separate tools and VERY clunky interaction between them ... copy and paste?
</p>

<p>
	My adventure with these two tools and my approach just seems not very efficient with redundant data entry:
</p>

<ol>
	<li>
		Do my route planning in Navigraph Charts on my iPad
	</li>
	<li>
		Build a route in Navigraph Charts on my iPad
	</li>
	<li>
		On my Flight Sim PC, open Navigraph website and load the flight plan I created on my iPad
	</li>
	<li>
		On my Flight Sim PC, use Navigraph Export feature and “copy to clipboard”
	</li>
	<li>
		On my Flight Sim PC, start SimBrief
	</li>
	<li>
		Create a new flight in SimBrief
	</li>
	<li>
		Paste from the clipboard to the “Route” section in SimBrief
	</li>
	<li>
		Then once again enter the departure and destination ICAO in the upper Flight Info in SimBrief (duplicated from the Navigraph charts)
	</li>
	<li>
		After I enter the Departure and Arrival ICAO in SimBrief and return to the route section the text I pasted in from Navigraph is gone and SimBrief has auto generated a route which IS NOT the same as the route I created in Navigraph Charts apps?
	</li>
	<li>
		I have to adjust the Navigraph flight on my iPad to match SimBrief OR I adjust the SimBrief manually to match Navigraph iPad.
	</li>
</ol>

<p>
	There must be a better way?
</p>

<p>
	I use my iPad Navigraph app for flight tracking which is why I need routes to match.
</p>

<p>
	Am I missing something really obvious? Why are these two apps not just ONE app?
</p>

	Hi All
</p>

<p>
	Apologies if this has been asked before.
</p>

<p>
	I am used to being able to load my LNM flight plans directly into the PMDG Boeing aircraft by saving them into the flightplan file in the aircraft's config directory. I am new to the Fenix world. I have seen the fact that you can use Simbrief flight Plans with the Airbus series. I can see also that one can save LNM flight plans into Simbrief. However, I wanted to check whether one can load LNM flight plans directly into the Fenix Airbus?
</p>

	Thanks in advance

	Hello everyone, first I want to mention that I generate my flight plans using the AH2 add-on; and I recently got a job in a mountainous area.
</p>

<p>
	I'm creating the flight plan with the Little NavMap add-on. After adjusting the east/west IFR/VFR rules, the add-on suggests flying at 13,500 ft.
</p>

<p>
	What's the problem with that altitude? Well, I would be flying a route in Air Class A (Little NavMap tells me this area starts from 11,500 ft to 24,000 ft), and that would be prohibited under the VFR flight plan.
</p>

<p>
	Now, the navigation charts for the VFR departure have the last waypoint at an altitude of 11,000 ft. This waypoint is close to other VFR departure waypoints from another airport, and I was wondering if I could use those waypoints, considering they are departures from other airports.
</p>

<p>
	If so, the problem is that those waypoints are at a minimum/maximum altitude (12,000 ft), but they're within Class A airspace. Why do those VFR departure waypoints from those airports impose that altitude restriction within a Class A airspace zone?
</p>

<p>
	I think this would be an exception due to the mountainous area, and it would be the only instance where one could fly through Class A airspace under VFR until exiting the zone.
</p>

<p>
	If so, could my flight plan then take the other 12,000 ft waypoints and maintain that altitude until exiting Class A airspace, and then resume cruise altitude at 13,500 ft, or...
</p>

<p>
	Perform an IFR departure until exiting Class A airspace and then switch to VFR?
</p>

<p>
	Or what other alternatives, suggestions, or experiences do you have?
</p>

<p>
	Thank you.

	It turns out that my flights have been in calm weather conditions, with no wind; now I want to make it a little more difficult by adding weather conditions.
</p>

<p>
	I would like to know how the process would work, and I will give an example:
</p>

<p>
	1. Planned route as shown in the image:
</p>

<p>
	<br />
	<img alt="spacer.png" class="ipsImage" data-ratio="103.02" height="614" style="height:auto;" width="596" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/ccrQgZ7M/littlenavmap-135902.png" src="https://dev.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
</p>

<p>
	2. In terms of weather conditions, we have:<br />
	- Wind speed: 30 knots<br />
	- Wind direction: 360°
</p>

<p>
	So, I would think that I will have a crosswind or sidewind (I think that's what it's called), but I don't know if at any point it will be a tailwind or headwind.
</p>

<p>
	That's what I would need to learn. I know that if the wind were headwind, 30 knots would be subtracted from the cruising speed, and if the wind were tailwind, 30 knots would be added (in this example) to the cruising speed.
</p>

<p>

	Hi all,
</p>

<p>
	I’ve been experimenting with ways to add more of the crew/ops side <i>before</i> starting a flight — not just weather and routing, but the kind of details real crews look at or brief before pushback.
</p>

<p>
	I ended up building a small web-based tool for myself (crew-room.com) to play with those ideas. It’s not commercial or anything, and I’ve set limits so it won’t burn to much LLM credits if people take a look.
</p>

<p>
	If anyone’s into that kind of preflight context or immersion, I’d love to hear how you approach it.
</p>

<p>
	Also feedbacks for my webapp are appreciated <span><span class="ipsEmoji">🙂</span></span>

<p>
	1. Is it possible in real life to depart VFR while intercepting an airway and then begin instrument flight from there?

	2. What happens if it's the other way around, departing from an airport with instrument charts, but the arrival doesn't have instrument charts?

	These are my questions:
</p>

<p>
	1. I understand that you need to have the following values: distance in NM, time in hours, and speed in knots.
</p>

<p>
	The aircraft performance tables show speed in the following format: “TAS MPH.”
</p>

<p>
	Do I need to convert this to knots, or can I work with this value as well?
</p>

<p>
	2. When the planned altitude is not reflected in the performance tables, for example, the flight plan is to be carried out at an altitude of 13,500 ft and the tables are 12,500 ft and then go to 15,000 ft, what do you do in that case?

	Hello, fellow pilots!
</p>

<p>
	My name is Svyatoslav, and I'm just beginning my journey into flight simulation, specifically within the VATSIM network. My main goal is to learn how to fly as realistically and correctly as possible, so I can feel confident in any airport and under any conditions.
</p>

<p>
	I understand this is a long and challenging path, so I'd like to ask for help from more experienced members of the community.
</p>

<p>
	I'm particularly interested in the following:
</p>

<ul>
	<li>
		<p>
			<b>Theory:</b> What books, manuals, or online courses would you suggest for a deep dive into the fundamentals? What are the most important things to know? (For example, flight manuals, FMS principles, meteorology, etc.)
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			<b>Practice:</b> Which aircraft are best to start with? (e.g., C172, A320, B737) What are the most crucial stages of flight preparation?
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			<b>VATSIM:</b> What resources can help me master proper radio communication? Which procedures should I practice first? How do I learn to read SID/STAR charts?
		</p>
	</li>
	<li>
		<p>
			<b>General Advice:</b> What are the most common mistakes new pilots make, and how can I avoid them?
		</p>
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	I'd appreciate any advice and shared experiences! Thank you in advance!
</p>

	I'm trying to find the realistic route for Chicago to Brussels in the late 60's.
</p>

<p>
	The flight I'm thinking of which I took as a kid was usually Chicago to (or New York to) Iceland to Amsterdam to Brussels.
</p>

<p>
	Simbrief is not being very helpful in planning a VOR route from Chicago to Iceland.
</p>

<p>
	Any sites out there with a realistic old route plan?

<p>
	I got this message:
</p>

<p>
	An unknown error occurred during Product activation: wrong server response. Please contact support@topcatsim.com
</p>

<p>
	But flightsimsoft.com and topcatsim.com are "under costruction" or down.
</p>

<p>
	I activated PFPX without issues but not TOPCAT.
