Flight Planning

Bonjour,So far, I am planning my PIC767 or PSS flights with the FMC, trying to keep my navdatabases as updated as possible. I am wondering now if I should better use a Flight Planner:-1- what free flight planner would you recommand to work with PIC767, PSS, Radar Contact, FSMeteo?-2- how many navdatabases do I need? One for the Flight Planner, one for each FMC....Is there any way to get rid of so many navdatabases that need to be updated periodically?-3- what happens if I import a flight plan built (with a flight planner)with waypoints not known in the FMC navdatabase?-4- Is it really a plus to use a flight planner compare to the use of the FMC?Bien amicalementMichelKSEA

Apart from the ones on flightsim.com does anyone else know where I can get access to these style plans - they are far better than just a list of waypoints or an airway routing :-)ThanksTom

May I ask for a flightplan for a 767 from KJFK to EDDH? For some years ago, Delta airlines was flying that route.Thanks in advance!

I've been trying to do a couple of (hopefully) realistic flight plans for the Concorde (both from and to London and Paris), but haven't been able to get them right so far. Has anybody been more successful and could share them with me?Thanks!

I would just like to kindly suggest you to place the forum together with the PSS/PIC/RC and flight deck companion forums, because I believe that mostly users of these are interested in using flight plans for their IFR-flights.

Many folks have flight tracking software that gives real US flight plans in real time. Thisshould be captured. I wish this was available worldwide. We need a format to share the plans in. My thought is that this is an EXCELLENT idea. Howeverthere are files associated with flight plans in the wayof *.pln files native to MSFS as well as formats for FSNavand others. Where are these to be uploaded? is the forumcapable of attachments or perhaps we treat these like wetreat screen caps...on other servers as zip files?I would like us early on to establish a little protocol onthis. Which means possibly:1. Files should be zipped.2. have a naming convention that says which flight planner is to be used, the sim,plane, and the ICAO pairs. example: FSNF2K2PA28KFTYKBNA.zip (or something like that.)
