Hi, thanks for all the interesting flightplans in this Forum, Im working hard not missing one.... ;) One question left: I lost my Atlantic Waypoints while updating to FS2K2, must have messed up the Datafile of FSNavigtor. Seems that they are not included in Richard Stefans (Ocean-)pack or am I doing something wrong???? Help would be appreciated, cause I love to have a look at those tracks on a map and use it for exporting into PIC via FS-Format.h.

Hi,I used to manually calculate my own flightplans and compare the bearings with the MS-Flightplanner of MS FS2000 & FS 2002.I calculated the varition free great circle bearings and then tried to figure outthe local mag var's of about 100 airports of my concern by putting in various legs from the airports VOR to some other VORs and compared the FS 2000/2002 given bearings with the 0 mag var bearing. This gave me some reliable values for the local mag var. In some cases such as Seattle KSEA where the runway 34R geometrically is almost exactly in North direction, the given bearing of 340 degrees indicates a mag var of -20 ( exactly -20.2). I have a few plans in the making, all out of EPWA (Okecie) and some to EPWA. The plans are to Germany, Finland, Sweden, England, Russia, Japan, and the United States with more to come. The ones that I am making are all basicaly meant to be used with the LOT fleet (although it dosen't really matter for the ones going in). First off - thanks Phil for the Pacific routings - I flew from the Cook Islands (NCRG) to LA last night and the fuel load was pretty good - though the winds still are not as favorable as they were about this time lst year . I've recreated the condition's of John F Kennedy Jr's fatal flight from Essex County Airport in Caldwell, NJ to Martha's Vineyard on Friday July 30, 1999 based on press information available on the web. Depart Essex County at dusk in haze and cruise at FL120 to KMVY, Martha's Vineyard and the Runway 22 ILS.
