My server subscription for PFPX expired the other day.. When I went to renew it, their website is down. ‘Under construction’ apparently. Has anyone else experienced the same? www.flightsimsoft.com Would be a real shame to lose ability to download PFPX or even purchase server subscriptions. Is PFPX now completely dead?

Hi Guy's, I find this mod excellent, but, Is there a way to update the Avionics G1000 on the Arantis Simulations Turbo Bonanza G36TN (their stand alone Mod) for MSFS 2024. The Mod comes with version WT 1.3.9 which does not support the importing of Flight Plans from Simbrief or any other for that matter, however, version WT 2.0.12 does support the importing of flight plans from Simbrief or Navigraph. The Arantis Simulations G36 Mod for MSFS 2024 which uses Asobo's Original Bonanza G36 works fine as it has version WT 2.0.12 installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I'm addressing flight plan professionals, and more specifically, those who specialize in approaches with transitions. What is the purpose of "S"shaped initial and final approaches? Example: LEBL - APCH 06L with RUB2E transition Thank you in advance.

In civil aviation, fuel planning is routine: trip fuel + alternate + 30–45 minutes. In military jets, it’s a different world entirely. You’re not just flying a route — you’re flying a mission. That means: - Fewer suitable airfieldsS - Strict timing constraints - No room for last minute decision - And a razor-thin margin between “I’m good” and “I won’t make it back” That’s why fuel planning in fast jets becomes a tactical decision, not just a line on a flight plan. And why military pilots use custom kneeboards — clean, visual reference pages that keep all the critical info right at their fingertips: - Minimum fuel thresholds - Divers…

When I watch tutorials on littlenavmap on youtube, the flight path is always yellow but for me its red as soon as i start a flight plan. I have no clue why this is happening and it causes discontinuities in my flight plans. I have the right airac cycle, and use ifr mode but the issue remains. I have attached a video of this. Thanks Kelvin video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WK5vu1tFvGFzMKplI_cJPMgjS3LCp6X9/view?usp=sharing

Good morning, I have an issue with the CIRRUS Vision Jet (MSFS 2020) autothrottle system. When ready to take off, I can't activate the autothrottle buttons by clicking on them while on the ground, so to be ready to activate autothrottle when in the air using the AP button, which also does not work; it only works if I click on it several times or use FLOW Pro. That's also the case with the AP button. Any idea what's happening? Ty Regards

I am trying to fathom the LOWI runway 8 RNAV approach with the 738 (PMDG). Simbrief gave me the EDDN to LOWI plan below. Prior to descent I selected the RNAV Y approach with a transition at ELMEM. However, each time I try the approach, the plane turns in midway from RTT to ELMEM towards WI813 and starts a very steep descent to landing. Is this the correct procedure as I want to start descent from 13000ft at ELMEM? Sorry, new to heavies. Would appreciate any help or pointers on vids/tutorials on this type of approach.

Hello group, I have a question when planning a VFR flight: - In the navigation chart "STANDARDIZED VFR OUTBOUND ROUTES", there is an exit where the last vector must be at 12,000 ft level, the confusion is that the vector at that altitude would be in class A airspace; it is assumed that this type of space is not allowed to fly VFR flights. 1. Are there exceptions to entering class A airspace on VFR flights and what are those exceptions? 2. If on a VFR flight I must ascend to cross a mountain, can I do so taking into account that I would be entering class A airspace?

Hi Guys, I just subscribed to a premium license for PMS50 GTN750 that I installed in the community folder to use with the SIERRA C24R. The license activation has been done. I load a flight plan into the plane from the world option, and the ATC gives me the flight authorization. However, I do not see the flight plan in the Garmin. I tried to import it from Simbrief with the ad hoc option, but Garmin told me there was no valid flight plan. It is the same with the import option from the catalogue. Thank you for your help. Regards,

Group, I have a question about calculating the fuel needed to make flights. I found the following information when searching; take how much fuel is consumed in ascent, cruise and descent and from there take the average; the problem is that the manual that comes with the plane (C337 Skymaster) only has cruise tables, nothing about how much it consumes in ascent or descent. I looked for an original manual from 1971 and found a consumption table for ascent but for takeoff "maximum climb rate...", nothing about normal climbs; even so, nothing about consumption in descents. In a Facebook group they told me to take the time of a flight and how much I spent on fue…

I am one of the few people I guess that still sometimes uses PFPX for route planning - It is in my opinion still one of best flight planning tools available. Anyway my server subscription ran out many years ago when I used to use on almost every flight particularly on long haul flights. But since I no longer have time to do long hauls - I elected to never renew my server subscription. As I understand the server does not work anymore, where can I get track messages for North Pacific and Australian tracks? I can get the NAT (North Atlantic) ones from the FAA track messages but can't find anything for pacific/Australian tracks. Any help is greatly appreciated.

How often do you wonder "Where should I fly today?" 🤔 What about something that helped you answer this question? 💡 I've created a new free of charge service to help you find airports you want to fly to, with top lists based on weather and coverage, or your own advanced filter search. Check it out and feedback is very welcome 🙂 https://where2fly.today/

Shalom and greetings all my pals, I have an interesting question. I write lots of waypoints for lots of flights. What I would like to do is to write waypoints for one flight and have the waypoints imposed on Google style satellite map so that it would show the route where I can identify cities, streets, lakes, rivers, towns, and so on. Simbrief can do it but not on satellite map. It is on normal map in Simbrief which does not work for me because it does not show all names of cities, streets, lakes, rivers, towns, and so on. Do any of you know if there is such website that allows me to input waypoints and have the website show me the route on satell…

After many years of using FSX and P3D I have been attempting to learn how to use PMDG B737-700 using a flight plan generated using Simbrief. The planning goes fine, I can download the FP using the PMDG rte. type of plan. Copy and paste it into the MSFS......local state, packages,PMDG 737-700,work, flight plan. Start the aircraft at the departure airport, configure the FMC to load the Simbrief plan and EXC. Also select the Simbrief plan in the PMDG EFB. Take off and be cruising along until I get to a certain change of direction and the aircraft continues to fly straight and the Flight Plan light will go out. The aircraft had executed several changes of direction up to that…

In the past, I've always stuck with real world tools for flight planning for my GA flights. That used to mean ForeFlight until they bumped prices for their geo-referenced charts, at which point I moved over to FltPlan which is still a "free" service. Not as many frills as ForeFlight, but still very complete and with full geo-referenced charts that integrate with FSX/P3D, XP and MSFS where I now sim. A few days ago, I decided to give SimBrief a shot since I'm now using NaviGraph charts with the excellent TDS GTNxi, and the tool supports uploads to the GTN. My first flight was from KGPI (Kalispell, MT) to KJAC (Jackson Hole, WY). The recommended route included the …

Trying to setup a flight from CYVR to KSFO using PMDG 777 and my route looks like this. CYVR/26L DCT YYJ DCT ELMAA Q1 ETCHY DCT MLBEC BDEGA3 KSFO/28L I can never seem to get the arrival part to KSFO correct. I am trying to use the ILS 28L arrival procedure but the path doesn't seem to lead me to runway 28L. Could someone please help me find the proper route to get me down to runway 28L at KSFO? I am flying offline without ATC.
