Tried all morning to get in LM site to download v2.5 and page will not load "times out"? Anyone tried to sign into their site?

I would like to see two sticky topics/threads that only our grand moderators would edit starting for P3Dv2.5 1. Potential Issues for LM - P3Dv2.5 This would have a list of what appear to be issues ("bugs") that have already been discussed in regular threads by contributors to this forum and there is general agreement that this is something that needs to be fixed in a future rev or hotfix since it fails on everybody's installation. Hi, Have a problem that I can't quiet understand. Could someone help shed some light for me please. When I start P3D I have it set to show the scenario screen so I can select my aircraft etc. The problem I have is with the time part. I live in the UK so GMT-time for me my Local time. With the default location of somewhere in the US It will give me the local time there for the start time. But if i select GTM-time it won't select my time (same as on my computer). And also if I set my location to be EGLL (Heathrow) then if I put the GMT-Time to my computer time (which is correct) then it may show it as night time, even if its day outside, but then when I load up the sim …

I've had p3d for a few months, and have flown some GA aircraft in it, with no problems; But, as you all know, the PMDG 777 came out the other day, and I've flown it plenty of times in FSX. Though when I started flying the T7 in P3D, I started running in my first VAS Issues. Now, I've read a bunch of stuff on vas usage in fsx and p3d, as well as the P3D introduction of the PMDG Manual, and I was just wondering if the following is "normal" in p3d, or if I should be investigating something else further. Hi everybody , I would like to know if someone is aware of a G1000 with map pan function , because on a real unit when we push the range knob then a small arrow cursor appear and we can pan around using the 4-way joystick , i tried all G1000 on the market (fsx stock , mindstar , carenado , eaglesoft , etc ...) none of them seems to have that function , so is this some kind of restriction in fsx/prepar3d gauges ? the only gauge with a pan function that i found is the GPS 296 found in the eaglet P92 by ants airplanes , even the G1000 student simulator from flight1 doesn't have it , really strange .

I remember a thread about MegaScenery Earth England & Wales on this forum last year, and two of the criticisms were the rather poor coastlines and water masks (with default scenery appearing at the edges in places), and also the relatively small amount of hard drive space required when compared to the PlayHorizon scenery (30GB versus around 70GB), leading to the conclusion that it couldn't be 50cm per pixel resolution (or 60cm as Andy Digital would correct me) :smile: Bearing this in mind, I would be interested to know user opinions of the other MegaScenery Earth Europe products (particularly Belgium and the Netherlands), since I am considering extending my little…

Yuk! I really hate that default airport grass. It looks like sandpaper. I do notice the default scenario airport in P3D (sorry cant remember the name) has nice payware looking grass. I was wondering if anyone knew how to use that grass at all airports? If not, do you all just stick with the sandpaper grass at default airports?

Hi, I am patiently waiting with upgrading from v2.4 until all my addons are compatible with v2.5. How is v2.5 working with Orbx sceneries? I have read that FTX central crashes, but from some posts here it seems that it is possible to have some work arounds to install it. How much work is required to do so? And if you do all this, is it possible to have everything working as it was on 2.4? I am interested mostly in: FTX Global, Vector, Open LC Europe, Norway, New Zealand. Thanks, Lukasz

Hi Guys, maybe this is a silly question, but nethertheless: I really do appreciate that P3D is constantly moving on, but 2 months ago I upgraded from v2.3 to v2.4 and therefore uninstalled 2.3 with all my addons, installed 2.4 and reinstalled all addons. After all that the weekend was gone... Now that v.2.5 is released here is my problem: Do I really have to uninstall all my addons (approx. 50 and counting...) and then reinstall them all in v.2.5 or is there a "trick" to move the addons from v2.4 to v.2.5? I do realize that I am required to uninstall all of my v.2.4 including all P3D-folders in appdata, programdata,localappdata and userprofile to use the…

Hi All - I am happily running 2.4 and question he release notes on the bridges and extrusions: Fixed a bug that would cause all extrusion effects to draw with a visible sawtooth pattern Fixed issues with the bridge pylons that would cause them to look tall/stretched I would like to know is can we replace the extrusions.spb in 2.4 with the new 2.5 Extrusions.spb file to "patch" the bridge issue. The old fix was to rename this file and just have them no render. ASN:Update Feb 16: We are in process of finalizing a new build and beginning internal testing. If this checks out OK we plan to release the open beta SP2 update on Wednesday or Thursday. Hi, Just need some advice on a new graphics card for P3D. Currently I have a Gigabyte GTX 580 which I think is failing, and I have had to reduce clock speed to stop the dreaded NVDKKM401 errors. I believe that is one of the failings of the Gigabyte cards. Anyway, have been looking at this EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti Superclock 2GB GDDR5 and does fit my budget. I'm having problems with missions I have that were working for 2.4. They don't show up in the load flight menu when I copied them across. had something changed with 2.5 and custom missions? Is there a 3rd party mission creator that I can use for 2.5? any help appreciated jay

Good evening A few days ago I installed p3d v2 but just found out that at no airport, either default either addon there is no lighting at runways and some at taxiways.Is there a setting for this ?

Hi all, Just wanted to know if it is me or is it general that when looking sideways out of the cockpit the scenery seems to go past in micro stutters. I have mine locked at 30 but it is fairly noticeable settings are not the highest. Running on a i7 [email protected] gtx 770 4gb 16 gb mem, I am hoping it will be better when Nvida finally get set of drivers out.....if they ever do! Cheers

Hi there, Am looking at getting P3D 2.4. Currently Specs are: Core i7-2600K at 3.8ghz, 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz Kingston Ram, EVGA GTX 570 Super Clock 1.2gb card. I ran v2.4 and found that my cpu was only sitting about 35% usage with all sliders maxed, however GFX couldn’t cope and only had 20mb of free ram left available so I understand my GFX is the bottleneck. I am wondering, I’m torn between two options for the best upgrade. I have been looking at both the AMD R9 290x and the EVGA 970 FTW, both have 4gb ram but there are so many mixed opinions around which card performs better. I have installed and have been tweaking v2.4. After changing the Affinity to allow 7 of my cores to P3D I am wondering if my GPU is limiting my performance. When I am sitting at the gate at KSFO (ORBX NCA scenery. Same thing when sitting at default KMIA) in the PMDG 777 cold and dark I am bouncing between 8-13 fps. Outside spot view shows in the 23-27 fps range. When I check the CPU's performance this is what I see: I would have expected the CPU's to be "working harder" to improve what I am seeing on my monitors. I have an extra Samsung SSD 250 GB (my F drive) with nothing on it and was wondering would that be enough space for P3D V2.5 + addon's like Orbx, traffic, weather, some addon aircraft? I also have a HHD storage disk with 850 GB that I could use. Regards Lamar
