Hi Has anyone been able to load REX textures 4 with soft clouds into V2.5? I tried to load the textures but received a constant error message. Is there a workaround or do I need to wait for a patch ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Richard

I know the CPU has to hand over to the GPU, but since P3D users the GPU far better than fsx. What setting can be pushed that would work the GPU harder and little cpu hit?

I've noticed this since 2.5 was released. Perhaps it was in 2.4 too but when I disable the photoscenery via the Scenery Library function (versus using the Scenery Config Editor), the photoscenery is still there. Nothing has changed. I go back into the Scenery Library and the photoscenery is definitely disabled. If I quit P3D and restart, the photoscenery is gone. I also have the same problem when enabling photoscenery via the Scenery Library. Just wondering if others are experiencing this problem. I have my P3D installed in the non-default location (K:/Prepar3D). Best regards,

We're all trying to squeeze the most out of our rigs. The diverse nature of hardware and software makes it extremely difficult to create a base line. I've spent more time configuring device drivers, bios settings and config files than flying. BUT, it's that LEGO nature in me to build, destroy and rebuild a faster, better (insert the opening trailer for the Six Million Dollar Man) machine/simulator. Flight Simulator has been my graphic benchmark since SubLogic's first release. Since the early days. the demands on the hardware have always been an excuse to upgrade. Hi , in FSX i have no problem , but in P3D V.2.5 i do,,, its only when im on the ground at ORBX airports , the texture refuses to become crisp and clear , when im in the air its OK ,, i dont have this problem when using FSearthtile scenery , while taxiing its a very detailed image

Hello, Installing 2.5 and stuff from a scratch including FSUIPS. Getting a message that current version of P3D is higher and might not be compatible with FSUIPS. Is it normal and I can skip it or we should wait for Pete to release a new version? Thanks

Thinking about purchasing Prepared3D and have a few questions if I might ask. Right now running FSX with triple monitors. How would P3D2 do with tree monitors? I also wounder about installing the P#D2 on an external SSD. Also, I see different programs ranging in price. Recommenedations? This is just my hobby.

Hi All, I have been away from the sim for a few months and at my age (Old) this makes very rusty with sim things when I return---so I need a little help. I just set up my new 2.5 version of Prepar and I bought a copy of the PMDG T7---I am finding it very difficult getting the flight plans I make on Pro ATC and or PFPX to load up in the T7 FMC. I have moved the files manually into what I thinks are the correct PMDG folder (you know PMDG flight plans 777 etc etc.) but they will not load (FMC/CDU says file not found when you request a flight plan or try to load via the company route select key.. So yesterday I purchased ORBX Base and Vector at The Flight Sim Shop. Got my registration info and downloaded the products. As I had some questions I went over to the ORBX website and attempted to sign up to their forums. Does it take a while to get approved or is something wrong? I never got a verification e-mail and when I log in I get a message that I do not have permission to view the community. Anyone have any ideas?

G'day Gentlemen, I decided to purchase P3D 2.5 last evening, but I may have picked a bad time, and things did not go well! Firstly, I had incredibly slow DL speed, with P3D quoting 18 hours to DL, on a high speed fibre optic connection. (The last time I purchased a license, it took around 1 hour). I decided to go to bed and leave the DL to progress; I woke in the morning to see the download apparantly completed - but alas the Zip was corrupted as the connection had dropped off.... My main concern is that today, it is apparantly impossible to log in to the www.prepar3d.com website, to attempt a download again. Although their site is up, when I try to log in…

Hi guys, I used to use the virtual pilot door panel for the dash 8 in fsx and it worked fine. But now i want to use it in P3D v2.5 and when i press shift+8, a blank window opens without anything in it. Is there any fix? Thank you very much :rolleyes:

Is anyone else experiencing crazy ground traffic in P3d 2.5? I was taxiing around KORD last night and twice I was rammed into by other aircraft on the ground. This triggered the collision detection and restarted the simulation. I have the stock KORD installed at the moment and have the airline traffic density set to 40%. The first time I was taxiing out and had stopped just before an intersection. Another airplane was coming in the other direction and proceeded to run right into me! The second time, I had a fault in the T/O configuration and had pulled over address it. Wham! I get tail clipped by another automated airplane. I finally disabled all automated…

Hi all I've been having some system freezes with complex add ons and I suspect it is related to my settings being too high. Is there any way in P3D to set up and load separate profiles of graphics,autogen and AI to use with different aircraft or at different phases of flight? Cheers Jay

I'm need of some help to try to fix my FSX without reinstalling everything... After updating FTX vector to v1.20 and the lanclass to 1.15, this is what happened here... Does anyone has any idea of what might be obviously very very wrong? Should I reinstall FTX Global, Vector, landclass and the orbxlibs again? Thanks Daniel

I know no one likes to give up eye candy. But it seems that P3D renders road textures differently than FSX. In X it was always recommended to set 7cm textures... and my PC has no issue with that. But in P3D my sim has been a stutterfest lately. So I set textures to 1m. I know it might look bad at some sceneries (orbx) or down low but it seems fine for me - I'm running UTX 2. I can honestly run AG and scenery at max except those textures and it runs smooth. I run in windowed mode. YMMV hehe

Dear Friends, Could you please help me to solve the issue regarding CTD on prepar3d v2.5 at the time of approach, for whole 4 hrs flight there was no issue at time of Approach on there seems to be issue stating P3d Crash straihgt no option what was the reason, lucky i saved the flight before error appear so i load again the flight and still the same issue, Stating P3d Crash., no information regarding crash just OK button and sstraight quit to Desktop as i checked my VAS usage still 1.3GB was remaining, Please kindly help me to overcome this issue. Hi, I installed the Level-D 767 into Prepar3D V2.5 with a program called Russian Migration Tool enabled (virtual fsx directories). After loading the simulator up, and loading the 767 up, I had several messages about an error of the fsx bitmap being unable to find, and then it telling me to reinstall the 767. Am I doing something wrong here? I have FSX also installed. Thanks!

Just over a year and half ago when I rediscovered flight sims I bought a Saitek Cessna Yoke, throttle quadrant and pedals. I had no issue setting these up, just yanked two drawers out of my desk and hooked everything up. When I'm not using it I throw it in a cabinet and put my drawers back in. Well it's been too nasty out to fly real planes this winter so I got back to playing with Prepar3D. I want to get another throttle quadrant for twins and was thinking over maybe that switch panel from saitek. I remember reading at some point that P3D had issues recognizing and configuring these. Just a casual observation - I have a flight plan from KBUR to KSFO using ILS 28R approach. Using the Carenado CIrtation 550, ASN and Orbx NCA - I have been unable to complete that flight without OOM using earlier versions. Flew same flight, same conditions in 2.5+ and had a little over 250mb left according to FSUIPC when I parked and shut down. Flight was smooth with no issues. Vic

I've got FSDT CYVR and after the problems with the 2.5 hotfix I installed the addon again and I get the ground textures from FSDT, but the buildings look an awful lot like the buildings from Zinertek Airport Graphics HD, which I've also got installed. Anyone knows what is going on and what I can do to fix it?

Can anyone who has got FS Recorder working with P3D tell me how you did it, filepaths etc? Exactly where you have the .dll? I have tried various ways with the old FS version as recommended but no joy so far. Thank you
