Hi all, Today I installed: 1) P3D latest v2.5+ patch 2) FSDT GSX Addon Manager (in order to update GSX) 3) ASN latest update to handle the P3D update However, the sim has twice crashed out of the blue. My current system I7 4790K with GTX970 runs FSX pretty smooth, still trying to get rid of some minor stuttering but I feel I am missing out on the DX10 and above features that will be coming or are out currently. I have a few questions if you guys can help out.... 1- Which one would be better to go to with my current system, P3D or Steves DX10 Fixer. Price is really not that much difference. DX10, $29 and P3D $59. 2- If I make the switch to P3D do I have to re-buy all my current add ons to be compatible to P3D, thought I heard there is an application that switches this for you. 3- What addons don't work in P3D currently. I know I should be asking this at the FSEconomy fourms but last I knew they didn't support P3D questions and I know I might even get a scolding here. Anyway, trying to use the V2 turbine Duke in FSE and it says aircraft not supported, any way to fix this, and by the way, awesome job Realair.

The 2.5 hotfix uploaded today erased all the FSDT sceneries, GSX and addon manager. None appear. I have tried re-installing them all but they don't show up. They were fine in 2.5 before todays hotfix. Any ideas? Lee

Ever since upgrading to 2.5 SB over simconnect has started to crash the sim. Does anyone have SB4 working over the network with 2.5? or know a way to get vpilot to work over a network?

Hello I noticed something odd with all the aircraft I use in P3D. There seems to be a blue or sometimes grey polygon that rotates with the user view under the aircraft, which you can see when on the ground. Its most noticeable when you open the door and look out, but if using trackir and turning your head, you can often see it then. You do not see it when in the air, its only when on the ground. Anyone know what this is, and preferably, how to get rid of it? Thanks!

I'm trying to select five airports to buy for P3D. Up until now I've only used default and ported over some FSX variants, mostly UK2000. I definitely want Flytampa's Dubai. Which others would you recommend. I don't mond where they are.

Hi guys, I wasn't able to complete a single flight recently, OOM's all over the place with different types of aircraft, I've had it with FSX and I'm ready to move on. Never really cared for P3D so I am totally out of the loop on the steps I need to take to fully convert. Are there any essential tools or a conversion checklist that's available out there or do I have to spend hours of reading the message boards? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hello fellow P3D pilots, I had a question about how to increase my fps in the P3D V2.5, and what add ons should I be able to work with in the future because I am very new to the P3D family. Hi Folks, Finally decided to make the switch to PREPAR3D from FSX, albeit will run both alongside for a bit for my own sanity after the amount of work put into my FSX I'm not 100000% ready to pull the plug yet. However lets see if I can dip my toes into P3D and see if I get pulled in.... what's the current thinking/ recommendation for running both alongside in re: ORBX, Active Sky, REX etc. Also what's the best current tweak/ config/ nvidia settings that someone can point me towards (I'm on an i5 2500k overclocked to 4.7 & GTX970) Cheers Guys !

I am using P3D V2. Some aircraft on a runway appear in a large light ball. Is there a way to remove this disturbing light ball? It is far from realistic.

Hi, I use Plan-G v3 as my moving map and came across an issue after updating the program today: A Scotflight airfield in central Scotland was not showing up. Before building the database the program requires the user to describe the path to the FSX executable and scenery.cfg. Running Tess unchecked gives me a runtime error...every time. Running Tess checked, gpu usage goes up to 99%. I don't really care about the wave effects, even though they look really cool. I hardly notice a difference with the terrain as well. I'm running a GTX 780Ti SC with a i7 4790k at 4.6Ghz. The reason I'd like to run with tessellation off is because I'm seeing everything through a 4K monitor (hence the GPU load). Even though the GPU load is pegged at 99% it is still mostly smooth. I just have an issue with everything getting so hot. And since I love flying around and in clouds, having the GPU at 99% doesn't help when they're around. However, I'm happy that …

Hi All P3D said 2.5 would be the last time we need to do a full install. However I look at my downloads page and it only lists the full installer for 12943. Also I notice Rob's post how he installed from scratch again.. Is there a patch installer for 12943? Or will one be released do you think? Took 2 weeks to rebuild everything again for 2.5 and not doing it again :( Or do I have to use the old dll hotfix? I was kind of waiting for the coldfix and a bit disappointed they released a full installer without a patch installer

Hi all! I was playing FSX this weekend and was flying from KBOS to KJFK. A short flight and one that I do once and a while. As I was on final at JFK, the game crashed randomly. No OOM. I soon came to realize how much FSX annoys me at times . It's like driving an old car: you'll never know when it'll stop working. I've been considering getting P3D for a long time (since it was in v1.X). How much would my PC benefit FPS-wise? i5 3330 GTX 750ti 6GB 1600 RAM 1 TB HDD I know it's meh, but it gets the job done. Whenever I use instant replay, when it ends, I get a ball of what looks like smoke appears in the sky, which sometimes spreads across the sky making it very dark, then disappears after around a minute. Other times it spreads all over the sky and scenery and the fps drop from 30 to 8. I have to close the sim to get rid of it. Anyone else seen this ? /Russell.
