I've just become interested in their Isle of Man scenery- does anyone know if there are distributors that still sell this? I thought I might be able to do it internally from my ESI installer, but it only lets me install my old purchase.

Hi everyone. I’ve struggled finding reliable information on multi-PC setups, so I thought I would share my findings here. Yes I do have multiple licenses (That’s that out of the way) My main use for my computers is photography, and that has influenced some of my buying decisions, a 27” Eizo coloredge is not necessary for a flight sim! PC 1 (Main flying computer). This is a 6 core I7 with 32Gb RAM, water cooled and clocked at 4G. I have a R9 290X connected to 27” (1920 x 1200) and a 23” (1920 x 1080) monitor. The R9 allows me to run a mismatched monitor eyefinity setup with my VC spread across both monitors. This runs at ~60fps with maxed out textures for both…

Hi all! Recently started making the shift over. Was just wondering if I could install AFCADs into P3D the exact same way I did for FSX? Thanks!

Let me start by saying I have WIN 8.1 OS. PMDG states this OS is not supported so perhaps there is where my issues lay. If I select the 737 from the vehicle menu, and let it load, then change the vehicle to another aircraft, let that load, than select a PMDG 737, I get a OOM with the fault PMDG_737NGX.dll. I am running the Prepar3d hotfix 2.5.12944.0 Also, if I select the PMDG 737 and let it load, than select another livery and let it load, the aircraft will have all systems off, and no click areas will work. I've read a few complaints about VAS/OOM in P3D v2.5 so with my opportunity to do a fresh install on a new PC I thought I'd log some of my VAS findings relative to 3rd party add-ons: Testing Process: 1. Save F22 at KSFO during dawn with Building Storms weather theme (KSFO-F22.fxml) - season Winter 2. Exit P3D 3. Restart P3D by doubling clicking KSFO-F22.fxml 4. Hi all, I currently have P3D v2.5, with FTX (global+vector), PMDG 777,Aerosoft airbus, some Aerosoft airport addons and some FSDT addons. Using ASN for weather. I am getting pretty low fps - 10-15 fps in airports and sometimes over the air. With modest p3d settings as well. Hi all For anyone using EZDOK within P3D, is it possible to use an xbox controller for external panning/walkarounds? I'm installing EZDOK this evening and for the walkaround captures I though an xbox controller might be easier to use. My flight controller is the saitek yoke otherwise. thanks

I've cranked aircraft to 100% and even at KLAX I have only a handful of AI aircraft. Is there something wrong with v2.5 where this is concerned? I have been using P3D v2.4 with a number of addons, including "Just Flight Traffic X" which worked just fine. I would even have to tone it down, as there were times a dozen aircraft were waiting to take off. Last week I reformatted my desktop and installed v2.5 from scratch. All addons loaded and worked. The last thing I went to add was the traffic app. It did not work at all. As far as I could tell I got no aircraft. I am seeing the following weird effect on bridges, only around YWOL using ORBX AUS regional add ons and ORBX YWOL payware scenery. As I get closer on approach, the problem resolves at a couple of miles out, but, seems to persist if I overfly at altitude. Tried different AC, same issue. Other bridges in the area have the same issue, these ones circled stand out because of the light color. Flown to quite a few AU airports even this past weekend, have not noticed this at all elsewhere. I recently added ORBX Vector, but, this happens with or without Vector active. Hi folks, FSX running smooth over 2 machines at steady non stuttering 25-29fps connected to vatsim with ASN, EZDOK, PMDG or Aerosoft A319. ASN, EFB and Acars all working from second machine. Feel like taking the plunge to Prepar3d however I have a hunch I will be disapointed. Dont want to upgrade anything at the moment and the only space I have is on the same SSD as FSX. Should I or Should I Not is the question? Thoughts. S

When I look at the list of command assignments listed in the kneeboard under Keys and compare it to the listing of key assignments under the options,controls,buttons and keys, they are not the same or even close in many cases? For example there is no listing for the zoom command in the Options list but the zoom commands are clearly listed on the kneeboard list (and work as described)? I have reset the controls list to default with no change. There are many differences but I thought if I could understand the zoom difference it might explain them all. I did a totally clean 2.5 install and have applied both hotfixes. Terry

Hi all... I have just uninstalled P3D V2.4 using the setup.exe executable and have installed V2.5.. When I attempt to activate, I receive the error code "5008 License not found on server"...When I request my license details from the sever and when I check my account, the license number I am entering is correct, although I can't activate it because the server does not recognise it. I have sent an e-mail to P3D support and licensing but I was wondering in the meantime whether any of my fellow flight simmers have encountered the same problem? Regards..

When I open P3D I get two error messages. The first is: "Prepar3d cannot find the aircraft for the requested flight. The default flight will now try to load." The second is: "Prepar3d cannot find the default aircraft files. Please reinstall Prepar3D." P3D then crashes. I understand the the most likely cause is installing certain Captain Sim aircraft into P3D. However, I'm finding it extremely difficult to find a solution. Any ideas?

Folks, I'm struggling with major FPS problems after recent patch. With Airbus extended and FT EKCH, no AI, no ORBX, I'm barely getting 23FPS. P3D is set to 1024 textures, no Autogen, My PC Specs are i7-2700k (no OC), 8GB RAM, GTX780, Win7 Pro. Your advises would be much appreciated.

Hi, since I bought a DK2 I can't bring myself to use a normal monitor again. Haven't touched my FS setup. I understand the Dk2 will work with P3D? Ideally I would like to run the PMDG 777 in Virtual reality, is this possible? Money is not an issue, so I can put together the required rig. The issue I see is I need a stable 75fps in the sim. Has anyone got this working? After spending years and thousands on hardware/projecters, tracking software etc, 5mins in my DK2 actually put me inside the simulation, it's breathtaking, can't be described. Normal monitors and TrackIR is not an option anymore, so I'm willing to wait a few years if P3D is not ready…

Moving my AI planes into P3D has not yet worked, I moved the Ai airplanes folder from my FSX simobjects into the simobjects folder in P3D, but nothing appears. I've also added this to the .cfg: SimObjectsPaths.1=SimObjects\AI_Aircraft does anyone have advice or a link that will explain me what to do?

Hi guys I need some help. I am having CTD after P3D V2.5 latest hotfix. CTD will occur if I set water detail to ultra and with PMDG T7, error: d3dcsx_43.dll. CTD wouldn't appear 1. If I choose default aircraft 2. if I turn the water level to High I also have another way around it (with water level set to ultra and using PMDG T7) by deleting the shader folder, if I do so before I start P3D then CTD won't occur. My spec i7 2600K OC to 4.3 Ghz 8 GB RAM DDR3 (800Mhz) ATI 7870 with Omega driver P3D v2.5 with latest hot fix I tried google but there's no clear solution. Any idea?

on both P3D and Wilco websites they say these are compatible with P3D. I have purchased the V1 and V2 a few years back but on the site it says only compatible with FSX. Does anyone have this working, do I just re-install it in the P3D files instead of FSX. Do I have to buy the migration tool, been trying not to if there is no need.

P3D2.5.12942.0 out of the box. W764 and 347.09 driver with NV770 w4GB. Reflections have been there since day one. Now a restart of the sim yields no reflections. No changes to sim or configurations. Head scratcher so if anyone else experiences this or has clue as to the cause/cure please respond. B)
