Hi all I have linked my P3D scenery cfg to scenerycongifeditor but it reads that Orbx OpenLC is installed when it isn't ? Is there any way to fix this ? Thanks

Okay i'm pretty sure someone, somewhere has posted this before but i can't explain this at all....About a week ago i was getting OOM'S at FlyTampa Toronto even on very low settings, now once i applied the 4gb patch to Prepar 3D, The OOM'S suddenly stopped....I can't explain this at all but it works for me. I am curious if anyone else has tried this and has gotten a result too? Please let me know. Thanks Wayne George

Greetings, i would like some suggestions on how optimize P3D (V.2.4) FPS perfomance in ORBX Airports. My Rig: I7 4790K @4.7GHZ ATI R9 270X @1.2GHZ 8 GB CORSAIR RAM CL9 I applied the most reccomended .CFG and settings tweaks (FFTF=0.01, Rob's 2.4 settings, frames locked at 30) and so i get 30 FPS (locked) everywhere but in ORBX airports where i'm getting 15-25 FPS not stable. The odd thing is that i get lower FPS not only in cities like Seattle (with PNW) but also in small areas like Yakutat (and ftx alaska), which airport is very simple (it should be max 10 buildings). Hi All Now i've got P3D running nicely on windows 10, i'm trying to get ezdok to work, but each time the app starts, either from inside P3D or independant, I am getting an access violation memory error against the phys.ca file Any suggestions as to how best to solve the problem ? Cheers WT

Can any of you recommend an AFCAD style program I can use to modify an individual default P3D airport to get rid of tall autogen trees obstructing the final approach path? Yes I could turn the autogen trees down but I'd rather just remove them as they're not there in the real-world approach. Thanks Adam

hey guys i have a question and hopefully someone can help me out.. I've searched the forums and only found one post about it and no answer.. but i am running V2.5 and im getting jaggied shadows in my cockpit of my NGX or any aircraft, as shown here http://prntscr.com/6j8q7e, also here is a picture of my NI http://prntscr.com/6j8rhr, and if i try and change the shadow quality in P3D it really doesn't do anything. the picture i showed of my VC shadows is on the setting of Ultra under shadow quality. Also i am running a 980GTX and 16x anisotropic and 8x MSAA filterings. any thoughts? shane.

Hello! Dynamic lightning is a part of hardware tesselation. I don´t like to switch off hardware tesselation completely because it gives me smoothest performance, But unfortuneately the dynamic lightning makes many of my photoreal sceneries a way to bright around noon and afternoon time. So is there a way to modify this somewhere in the P3D root (or somewhere else)? And if not is there a way to switch it off completely without switching off hardware tesselation itself? Prepar3D is meant to be a training tool, I want to train to use the Garmin 430 (since I just bought one for my Cessna 182). So far seems to be X plane 10 and FSX offer better options for training with a Garmin 430 than Prepar 3D Really I dont want to go back to FSX or X plane 10. But seems to be the options do far dont work so well in Prepar 3D. What are the best options? Has anyone managed to get RealAir's Lancair Legacy fully functional in Prepar3D? I was able to install it, but it lacks the extra switch sounds, brake squeaks, etc. Anyone figure out a way to make things work? Thanks, Brandon

I have looked around and cannot find a solution to this problem. I take off from an airport and all of the surrounding scenery is beautiful. After I fly for a while (about an hour) the scenery loses all of its detail. I have an Nvidia 780 card on a mid-range computer. This also happened in 2.4. Any help would be appreciated. Ed Farley

About to ditch 2.2 and install 2.5... In 2.2 and 2.1 - I have noticed a few glitches: 1.) Occasional (Intermittent) Floating autogen when flying over a large metropolitan area 2.) Carrier wake (Javier Carriers) flickers 3.) Some third party aircraft (i.e. Aerosoft) have exterior lighting issues - i.e. taxi light not illuminating ground, cannot see wingtip lights from inside cockpit, etc. Other than those mentioned above, it's been a good experience with 2.1 & 2.2!!! Have these bugs been fixed up in 2.5??? Thanks!

How do I install ORBX regions into P3D V2.5 Ron

Hey guys, does TropicalSim's KDCA work in P3D 2.5? Also, does it have moving Jetways or do you have to use AES (which doesn't work with P3D) Cheers!

yesterday i got a sudden duplicate FSUIPC.dll error while starting P3d. This was the first time i got this error. On quick investigationi figured out, it is because the earlier instance of Prepar3d.exe was still running on my task manager. I had to physically kill the process. From thereafter, everytime i am exiting out of Prepar3d, the instance keeps on running on the task manager with CPU utilization less than 0.01%.. It doesnt gets released automatically... Any ideas what might be going on.. I tried finding whether there is any module which is locking Prepar3d.exe, but could not find any... I installed the updated ORBX FTX Global libs yesterday and REX4 texture…

Hello everyone, I have been a lurker of these forums for about 3 years now, but it is only now that I have decided to make my first post, and unfortunately it is with a question. I have been an FSX user for around 4 years, but recently I was convinced by a fellow simmer that Prepar3d is worth the upgrade, especially since version 2.5 turned out to be very polished. For that reason I decided to give it a try with the Academic version. I have installed a few of my most used add-ons (REX 4, FTX Global and Vector, Soft Clouds and KMIA from LatinVFR) to use with this version of the simulator. So has anyone had time to peek inside the Sim Director tool? Personally I hope it will kindle a more, shall we say, fertile mission maker community. I always felt missions was an area with much unexploited potential in FSX. I also see it as a way to combat the sneaking boredom one sometimes feel with civilian sims because one have to be so damn creative to make it fun, if you know what I mean. Sometimes it is just easier to jump into a mission someone else have made.

I have been waiting long enough for a good one working in P3DV2, and at last somebody heard my prayers. The first time I am REALLY excited about a forthcoming plane. Hell guys, I flew that old FSD Navajo to pieces in FSX, and literally forced it into P3DV2 (I switch from FSX last year already). No VC switches worked, the graphics looked very old, but I enjoyed every moment taking her up. For me the most beautiful twin ever made. Hello, I had World of AI traffic working in 2.4 with no problem but in 2.5 I have no traffic. I have the models in the simobjects/aircraft file and the .bgl's in the Scenery/world/scenery file, but I have no AI traffic. Is there an entry that needs to be made in the simobjects.cfg? Thanks in advance.

I have p3d 2.5 Ftx global Ftx landclass Ftx vector England Scotland I'm getting trees on runways in European airports like EKCH and LIME. Any ideas. Perhaps I have my layers a bit mixed up. Cheers S
