When I first installed v2.5, RAM use seemed perfect and didnt think I'd ever get to see OOMs. Only since last week I got trouble when loading a second flight and P3D ran out of available memory, with just 3.4GB RAM in use at that moment. This morning it got even worse. My first flight of the day, I just started up my pc and P3D, and like 5 minutes into the flight P3D ran out of available memory with no more then 2.2GB of RAM in use. The only thing changed in my setup is the addition of the Realair Turbine Duke, to which I added the Mindstar GNS (which was already on my pc for other aircraft). Need some input: My Saitek X52 is dead. I have always used a joystick just a throw back to my old CFS2 days. So my question is this which is better for P3D a joystick throttle combo like a X52 PRO or a Yoke and throttle combo. I Fly CFS2, FS2004, and am just getting into P3D. So I am looking for suggestions or opinions

Hello i just installed rex into P3D, and well, the water looks like sh*t. Its squared, (literaly) too bright, and there isnt a way how to change it. I had this also in FSX, but i solved it there very simply, just used FS Water Config, which, obviously doesnt work with P3D. Soo.. any hints guys? Because this is extremly ugly. Hi All, I've tried to install the CLS MD80 into P3D v2.5 (w/current hotfix applied after initial install, prior to any add-ons) with the EMT. The plane will load, but there's no panel displayed in either VC or 2D. I fly exclusively in the VC as I have a triple monitor setup. Has anyone else encountered this problem? I haven't tried the LHS Maddog, as I've read it won't work. (How I wish it would be updated to work in P3D!!) Thanks for any help/ideas, Jim

ok, this is a very strange thing. it happens to a friend of mine and to me also: after about 45 minutes, the frames decrease in P3D 2.5 (with hotfix). So after about one hour we have (in my case e.g.) from 50-60 frames only less then 20 frames left. When we click then on "time and season" and change the time just for 1 second, the frames are back then. It also works if you open time preview, make absolutely no change and hit "apply" (and "yes"). The friend has a different system with different addons and also a different OS (win7) We can't both not see, what causes this and eliminated a few factors like ASN as example. Just brought the EVGA 970 and not much improvement over my 760. Any tips on setting these up really struggling . Clean driver first 15 4670k processor at 4.0 ghz . Whats the best NVidia settings and tweaks for this card .

I have suddenly started getting sim launcher issues that will not allow me to start the p3d version. Every time I try to start in p3d it says the default flight in the p3d flights folder does not exist and the program closes should I have a folder in P3d called Flights with 2 sub folders in it ? The same as fsx has or not .Currently I do not have a folder In my p3d installation called flights or has it somehow got deleted This is driving me round the bend a bit as I use extra vas becase I can't use this to launch a flight Thanks

Can someone please explain me the differences between FTX Global base and FTX vector, and if they can be installed at the same time. Thinking of buying them. Thanks -Alex

The reason for this problem may be obvious but it's eluding me at the moment! I have removed all controller functions under Controls but when they are enabled (with Control+K) which I do when I am not using TrackIR, the elevator trim moves to full down setting and can't be moved. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

just wondering cuz I wanna install some airports in the pnw and Yosemite in my northern cal. Do I set my ftx central to global or North America while installing these sceneries? And for the liberies at the end do I keep it on global? Thanks.

Before I go on a download rampage with all the payware/high quality freeware airports I have, are they gonna install into Prepar3d 2.5 seamlessly, or will updates be needed? Specifically: FSDT KLAX Latin VFR KSAN, KMIA Tropicalsim KDCA Taxi2gate KMCO KLGB, KONT Sunskyjet KPHL Thanks in advance

Just a heads up if you haven't noticed it Well found this on web read below no wet runways or tarmac – also rolling cloud shadows only work if its raining on my rig – water animation is not working unless you 100 ft above the water Scenario You open P3D v2.5 at the menu you choose your settings, weather, etc… start the flight, its raining and no wet runway. Solution Disable the startup menu on startup, restart the sim and within the sim create a flight. Now you should have wet runway effect. or just change you p3d.cfg not to show start menu….. Please note this issue did not exist in v2.4 and I hope somebody can forward this to LM to get fixed.

Hi guys, At the moment I'm running the first versions of orbx. Now I read there are a lot of updates... Do I need to install all of them? 1.10, 1.20, etc. Or can I just pick the newest (1.30)?? Thanks!!

Hi guys, I´m currently gathering all information for a switch of my main sim from FSX ACC to P3D. I have a question regarding Orbx sceneries. I know they do have a sperate support forum over there but I´m not keen on registering there for just one question. Anyway, onto the topic: I´ve got several Orbx sceneries here with me, all on CD (remember that 5€-sale for every scenery at Aerosoft some time back?! ;-)) I know that they should be ready for P3D but I guess as I have the v1 on CD I don´t know whether this will work. Has someone done similar befor?

Hi guys Having some trouble installing the Q400 My flying skills far out-weigh my computer skills so i could be doing something stupid here I have the Boxed version of the Q400 and have been using this with FSX no problems at all. I've made the jump to Prepared V2.2 now I'm having all sorts of problems. What I have done so far... Downloaded the installer for the boxed version and installed the software to run for P3D V2.2 I then Installed the Patch Moved files over for effects and textures and mjc84_main.dll into the gauges folder Now when I load up the Q400 of another aircraft 1st I get a cold and dark state with limited switching ability, the yoke…

great another KERNELBASE.dll crash to desktop. i have had this crash twice now on final, both times i got a windows chime error sound out of nowhere with no message pop up at all. The windows chime could be FSUIPC telling me that im going to have an OOM but i get a DLL crash instead of OOM poping up? Not sure. Any help?

Greetings, with my old AMD X4 955 i had noted the importance of increasing the frequency of the Northbridge while significantly overclocking the CPU Freq. Switching to the new I7 4790K I had understood that the most widespread opinion is that it is sufficient/reccomended to increase the multiplier and voltage to get a good overclock. I just loaded a flight DFW. I see the Addons->Addonmanger with the airport register and installed. But the airport is missing.. no buildings. It did not ask me to install any latest and greatest stuff. Its like a box of chocolate you never know what you are gonna get! WHY? This is beyond annoying! Sigh!

Hi all, Running p3d v2.5 and at night im not seeing any nav or beacon lights on ai planes at a distance. Anyone else seeing (or not seeing) the same? Thanks Ollie

With v2.5 I gave P3D a try and installed it beside FSX on a separate SSD. Yesterday I made a flight over the alps and recognized the annoying cloud flickering in mountainous areas known from FSX. I thought this bug is gone with volumetric fog? I used FSGRW as weather engine (because ASN still isn't released) and cumulus01.bmp from REX softclouds. All other clouds are vanilla P3D. Also tested cirrus_overcast03.bmp from ASN (FSX installation) without no difference.

Hey guys, just wondering what the best affinity mask number is for 4 cores. specs are I5 4670k 4.4ghz, gtx770. I know about 14, but are there any other good ones?
