If I remember correctly, it was said that the strange 'saw-teeth effect' of ai ship wakes has been addressed in v2.5. I can confirm that this is true. But I have now very strong texture morphing/flickers on wakes - No matter what water settings I use. - I still have default v2.5 textures installed.

I bet a lot of you missed this. Unless you read through all four (4) pages of posts on the Installation page of the LM Forum, you probably didn't catch it. Just a short post from Adam Breed. "Future releases will incorporate an installation procedure that is similar to your comment. We will provide detailed information once our new patching/installation procedure is completed. We definitely do not like to force the 10GB download on everyone more than once!" Adam Breed Prepar3D® Senior Software Engineer So, looks like LM want to make life easier for us in the future. He is talking about a patch type update install, vs a full uninstall/install. Since LM changed file struct…

With the latest Nvidia drivers, there is the possibility of using dynamic full RGB (0-255) also in HDMI. What do you use? Full or limited (16-235) with a normal 16: 9 monitor? Thanks

Just downloaded it...and at $14.95 AUD (their discount to everyone...), it's a no brainer! Really nice! Sets up in FSX and P3D v2.4 smooth as silk... Happy flying in Ontario's cottage country!....... Is there any hdr setting that can be modified to make the whites such as clouds, white fusealage etc show up darker when not hit by light at night? Everything in my sim is very dark at night except when there are white textures such as clouds.

I just got P3D to try it out for a month and see if I want to shell out $60 for the full license. So far, I'm very impressed and it works well on my system. One thing that I find really interesting is the ability to travel underwater. Submarines have always been my 2nd nerdy interest (besides planes), so when I saw that there was an Ohio-Class sub to use I was very excited. However, I was disappointed when I could not see it underwater. Not being able to see it would often cause me to descend too low and fall through the bottom of the map. Is there any way to fix this? I find it odd that they would include the sub if you could not see it underwater. The other "Submersible…

Hi! Ok, so i previously made a thread about this problem as i thought the problem only occured with Carenados products. But i figured it wasnt.. I bought the following addons for my P3D: - Carenado B200 KING AIR - Carenado PC12 - Carenado B1900D - Wilco TBM850 - MILVIZ B350i So my problem is.. Every time i start with one of these aircrafts, the engine runs for about 30 seconds, but the displays inside the aircraft looks like they are in the start-up phaze. But the aircraft start rolling during those 30 seconds. Then i put parking brake on. Then when i try to start the engine(s) again, the aircraft will start rolling again, up till around 20 knots. And it a…

I made couple of test flight with PMDG 777. I came to conclusion there is huge VAS leaking: I load 777 first and checked available VAS. It was 1.8 GB at the gate KEWR. I started to prepare 777 for flight after cumulated time 20 minutes , VAS lost 1GB and available memory was 809 MB. Ready to leave Gate cumulated time was 40 minutes available memory was 540 MB During Take-off cumulated time 50 minutes ,available memory was 390 MB (Good Luck) During long cruise (Over three hours) available memory 265MB I know what was coming next . I stopped the flight before OOM My total VAS lost include Gate+Taxi+Take-off +Cruise was over 1.5GB I have a…

That is strange I have been update EZCA to 1.8 and it was working fine. Today with the 777 I notice that the setting differ of zoom level of about 0.20 units on same position. It's annoying as you need to zoom all the time in p3D. This of course is for all aircraft. I wondering if we can do different profile for the two platform. I will report that on simforum.

Has anyone figured out how to import PFPX-created flight plans into the 777 folder in Prepar3D? Let me re-phrase that a bit better. Previously, in FSX-MS and FSX-SE, when I pressed the Export button in PFPX, it sent the Flight Plan to various folders, and in the PMDG 777 CDU I was subsequently able to Request a Route, and all the plans in that FSX\PMDG\Flightplans\ 777 folder would show up no problem. However, I've discovered when trying to do the same in the Prepar3D PMDG777, it will not import this format---XXXXYYYY.pln. Only XXXXYYYY.rte. At the moment I'm having to go back to the FSX\PMDG\Flightplans\777, look for the flightplan with *.rte, then copy/paste it …

Hi everyone - I'm wondering if you all have any issues with Orbx PAHO Homer, Alaska. I'm a banned member there so I can't access any support forums. I was banned originally for too many frequent posts on another support issue. Hey, I have the time, why not? Thought that's what it was for. Anyway, before I ramble on about that, the issue I'm having is this: Homer, Alaska hangs on about three quarters percent complete. I don't understand it. No matter whenever I try it, it does it all the time Anyone have any ideas? They banned me long ago when I was having an issue with Pacific Northwest. That's how long it's been - they never lifted my ban after I lef…

I know everyone is excited about the 2.5 update, but since I use a lot of Orbx sceneries, I am waiting. Meantime over at DC-3 Airways VA, we are in the final stages of a mass multiplayer re creation of Operation Market Garden and we are trying to get the MJ C-47 to drop paratroopers. I have tried the old file we used in FSX, but it will not work in P3D and I can't seem to find any for P3D. Does anyone know of a file to add parachute drops from the MJ C-47 in P3D? Thanks.
