When i copy the p3d 2.5 download link in my account to the flashget new task window it keeps reverting back to p3d 2.4 , what should i try to fix this ?

I just wanted to thank everyone for their input on my previous thread. Before I went ahead and installed Prepar3d i have decided to upgrade my comp. Just looking for some recommendations on good hardware to upgrade on my CPU and GPU. I am looking to improve my CPU and GPU for my first Prepar3d installation. Here are my current specs: CPU – i5-3570k 3.40GHz Memory – 8Gb GPU – AMD Radeon HD 7970 1TB SSD I was going to go with an i7-4790k. I dont know what GPU card to get. I am looking for a system that won’t need much tweaking. Also is the Saitek Rhino a good Joystick? Thanks, Daryl

Hi everyone I just purchased P3D v2 and have noticed there are no runway lights at any airports. I have only installed ORBX Global and Vector and nothing else Also had no runway lights before I installed Global and Vector! are there any patches available I have searched and only found runway lights patches for aerosoft airports Cheers!

Hi! I had look in the SimObjects folder of P3D. And in the folder 'Airplanes' i noticed a folder called 'DH_Dash8_100'. But i cant seem to find that plane in the game? I havent bought that plane or anything, so it must be a stock plane. How can i enable it?

I've tried installing my prepar3d into my F/ drive twice now and each time the "Lockheed Martin" folder is no where to be found in the F/ drive! The only place I've seen it is in the AppData/Roaming. This is not correct, any ideas? Thanks! Dave.

Is there a way to disable the default flight from loading within Prepar3d? I've been having issues where complex airliners such as the Q400 are not loading properly or will do weird things when selected. Thanks,

This time I think LM managed to avoid the clash between its releases and my holidays! But only just! I'm off to Sri Lanka on Friday but I am sure that version 4.939 of FSUIPC4, just released, will be fine with P3D version 2.5 which I am sure must be imminent. Good flying! Pete Dowson

Hi all! I recently purchased two planes; Carenado B1900D HD FSX-P3D and Carenado PC12 HD SERIES FSX-P3D. When i load either one of them, the engine will stop after like 30 seconds. Not that big of a problem.. the worst is, when i start the engine(s) again, the plane will just forward even with the throttle in neutral position and parking brake on. So its almost impossible to stop it. So to make it work again, i have to stop the plane, go reverse then forward again and it will operate normally. Both these planes are compatible with P3D v2. Anyone experienced this before and have a solution? Thanks

I was flying PMDG 777 yesterday and P3D simulator crashed to desktop with no error message, tried to relaunch it again (default flight) with no luck, it crashes immediately after start to desktop with no error message, took a snap shot of the Opus FSX 3.53 SPY window: hoping that some one could help resolving the issue. Note: I was using FSUICP 4.938f when it happened, tried the newly released version 4.939 and still same issue, removed FSUICP all together with no luck. third party add ons: 1- Orbx FTX Global. 2- Orbx Global Victor. 3- PMDG B777

I think I know the answer to this, but I'll ask anyway and hope to be pleasantly surprised by the answer. :rolleyes:

When installing FTX Global after uninstalling due to problem I get message; Set up cannot create the following folder \Effects. I press retry and it seems to finish the installation but the program isn't installed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, RLJR

Greetings, Perhaps I should know this. But I don't. I am trying to find ways to decrease the load on the simulator. One thing I think I may be able to do is disable scenery that I won't be using for a particular session. What I don't know, is what P3D is going to load in a particular situation. What area will automatically be loaded? Say for example I takeoff from Friday Harbor (KFHR) to fly to Victoria (CYYJ). Will P3D also load Vancouver (CYVR) which is about 62 nautical miles NNE of Victoria? If I fly from CYVR to CYYZ (Toronto), will P3D load every airport I overfly at 35,000 feet? These are specific questions. I don't want to be totally boring by asking …

I recently moved, and in the process, I did nothing else but unplug all my peripherals (yoke, goflight stuff, pedals, monitors, etc.), transport them to my new place and plug them all back in. However, some gremlins must have intervened, because now nothing seems to work. Can't for the life of me figure it out. Yoke and rudder and throttle quadrants work fine, but GoFLight stuff stopped interacting (I can program them with FSUIPC, but GoFlight data bridge doesnt seem to connect) and even some USB keypads using HIDMacros for AP and GPS control no longer tell P3D what to do. I haven't yet put in Internet, but I dont think that has a bearing. The GoFLight config program …

I just took the A2A C182 for a few patterns around KSNA and I must say that this add on is great in FSX, but it's spectacular in P3D. The shadows and reflections on the interior of the aircraft, the wind buffeting as you fly an approach. You can almost feel the warmth as you turn into the sun. This is just a great aircraft in a great sim. I can't wait to try the new Turbine Duke in P3D. Jeff C.

Hi all, I just downloaded the PDMG 777 for P3D V2. Performed a clean install of P3D V2.4 and then the PDMG 777 straight after. Turned my anti-virus off just to be sure. When I load the plane it never asked me for activation and the landing gear is up and no switches work. I know guys had similar issues with the FSX version. After parting with 90 USD for this model I am not a happy camper.

Perhaps this is common knowledge, but for those who are unaware.. I discovered awhile back, a way to NOT need to enable "surround" mode for a multi-display setup. I have 3 LCDs.. I used to use surround mode exclusively, but found for making videos at 1920x1080 instead of 5760x1080 it was rather annoying to have to switch to a single screen mode. One day i found that if i had the windowed mode in P3D v2.4 spread partially over all 3 screens then hit alt + enter, it would fill all 3 screens in the exact same manner as having surround mode enabled in the nvidia panel. The same holds true if you just want it to "maximize" on two of the three screens.. just spread …

Hi there, I recently bought P3Dv2 on an academic license. I do not have a high-end machine by today’s standard but it does live up to most of the recommended system requirements posted on LM's site. I have a 27″ iMac (mid 2011) with the following configuration: CPU: 3,1GHz quad-core Intel i5 2400 with 6MB L3 buffer RAM: 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 memory GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6970M with 1GB GDDR5 HDD: 1TB 7200 rpm Question: Is there any hope for me to get a smooth and relatively good looking simulation experience with P3Dv2 with my system? Hİ everyone I want to use ezdok camera in p3d v2 . I used freeware russian migration toll (ı don't think it is illegal ) and everything was fine except middle mouse button I can't use middle mouse button instead I put a key for that for exmp. "Home" when I press home button it works but I can't move it with my middle mouse button. what sould I do thanks Berke

Over the past week I have been getting random crashes with P3D V2.4. I just had my first flight with the PMDG 777 crash on me after 5 hours, I know it wasn't an OOM as there was no message pointing towards the possibility of an OOM. I have installed WOAI, but I would like to know the actual cause and how to fix it. Just about to hit the Buy button when i suddenly stopped. Is the 777 going to be ok with 2.5 or is it best to wait. Hi Guys, Can I ask a question for Rob please? In V 2.5, will the gps/autopilot buttons be fixed , for the A 36 in house, Bonanza, because in v2.4, after my installation, they don't work, ie the gps will not switch on! I have asked over at LM, with no reply! Thanks Rob, Cheers, Mal...

Quick update, confirmed fix for those with Orbx scenery this fixes the "bright cranes" and other objects that have FX based lights. Cheers, Rob.

Hey guys, Been away from FSX for almost 12 months now and looking to getting back into it but this time with P3D. Been doing a lot of reading over the past few days and just wanted to check if the upcoming P3D v2.5 will require a full re-install? I have just formatted my FSX HDD and don't really want to go through it again if I purchase V2.4 now and a complete re-install is required when V2.5 gets released, which by the sound of things is fairly soon.
