I never had an issue with P3D not recognizing my joystick but tonight after a crash. I only have mouse yoke available. Now on occasion, If I switch to the money bravo plane, the Saitke X52 becomes available but it disappear again If I switch to another plane. I don't use FSUIPC and I never had to use it in the past. I also notice that I have this problem with FSX. The joystick working perfectly fine in X-plane 10 and recognize in Windows 8.1. It connected to an power usb hub and my power management has disable the USB turn off. I don't know what else to do here. Any help would be appreciated.

Over here (EHEH) it's snowing big time, what inspired me to create a winter wonderland to do some flights, today. So I had REX4 create a weather theme for the current weather at EHEH, but somehow REX did generate a snow profile in the weather tab, but the textures where clearly summer, so I already had to change the textures to winter, manually. I set ASNext to live weather for EHEH and it is indeed snowing, or at least, snow is falling from the sky, but there's nothing on the ground, everything is clean, while there's at least 10-15cm snow. I set P3D to current time and at 10:30am it says it's dawn, while it's clearly day, already and I dont see anything looking even clo…

Hey there I read a lot of different opinions. Some say it works, some say it won't, and never will work in p3d. I'm running Win 8.1, p3d 2.4 and installed the Citation X via EMT. Unfortunately i get a black screen after I select the aircraft. Has anybody a suggestion, or can confirm it works in 2.4? And yes, I know its not developed to work in p3d. Im not asking for support, just for clarification if it's hopeless to try or not. Best regards Yannick

Hi everyone FSX had a definitive set of tweaks which gave us overall much better performance and graphics quality using Nvidia Inspector, than the stock installation and stock fsx.cfg. Although the norm is not to interfere with the p3d.cfg, are there any other 'must have' settings in the P3D in-game menu and specifically in the Nvidia Control panel which people are applying right off the bat? What about SweetFX and other graphic enhancement utilities? I've been very occassionally toying with P3D since V2 was released, but haven't yet found the sweetspot in the same way I did for FSX, graphically. Hi Guys, To keep story short I need default terrain.cfg file P3D 2.4. By mistake I delete one, dont have back up and already spent hours for reinstalling together with FTX etc, you know how is it... At this point the only thing holding me back from P3D is the weather. Last I checked (around v2.2ish) there is no option to download real world weather into the game. I know I can use Active Sky Next and REX, but do I have any other options, like anything free, to get real weather in P3D? I'm not a fan of making my own weather and I don't want to fly in perfect weather all the time, that's why I love having real weather as an option like FSX.

I'm looking to get one really good payware helicopter for P3D. Any suggestions? Do any support the GTN 750?

Hi Guys. Just wondering does anyone else have the Seidon 120M cooler? For some reason whenever I play P3D the cooler starts picking up speed. It gets to the stage where it is so loud I can actually hear it through In ear earphones. My Main belief is that because P3D has my first core near 100% all the time that the cooler is working overtime. Am I right or is it something else thats causing it? Regards. Broph13

Trying to go on to the next step in my flight sim. I use to rely on ATC and VOR to VOR Navigation to get to destination. This weekend I try to move to SID/STARS navigation. I am using Aerosoft A320. I did program the FMC correctly but I am still struggling with landing and ILS approach. At what exact time should I activate approach phase ? When do I engage LOC and approach hold ? I've read many post on A320 landing procedure and each is different than the next. If you missed an approach, how do you go back to retry again ? all manual ? Hi guys, Recently I've upgraded my PC to a GTX 970 FTW and therefore reinstalled windows. So a few days ago I installed P3D V2.4 on my PC with FTX England, Orbx Global and Global Vector and so I'm wondering whether there are any working performance tweaks that will work with 2.4? Running P3D V2.4 I get around 30-40FPS on Ultra settings but my GPU is only seeing around 30% load and around 2.45GB of VRAM used (Out of 4GB) so there's a lot of horsepower in the beast to spare. CPU - 4790K OC @ 4.4GHz (4.6GHz Turbo) and sees around 67% load when in-game. Are there any tweaks that will allow me to use more resources and get more detail and/or just use mo…

Hi All, I've noticed that AI strobe lights dim away in the distance very quickly at night in P3D compared with FSX so Ai Traffic are not visible at night which I kinder miss. Does anyone know how P3D do their runway strobe light effect since they are visible from a greater distance. I've looked in the effects folder hoping that I could copy their setting to the fx_strobe file. However P3D must not use an effects file method for the Runway end strobe effect. The Garmin 530 works ok in the Milviz 310, no crashes no problems (I have just started to use it, so no expert, on how much realistic is ) What is the difference with the Mindstar 530?

Hi, have FS Real Time for FSX installed since years and now I want to get it work with Prepar3d v2, too. It seems FS Real Time do not recognize my Prepar3d v2 installation. I uninstall FS Real Time, start the setup again and it also do not recognize P3D v2, I can not select the Prepar3d option. So what can I do? Thanks, Ron

Hello, Well, the title says it all. I'm wondering if anyone can share their experience with these aircraft in P3D? I'm leaning towards the 135/145 as they seem to be slightly better or "more polished" based on some quick searches that I've done. Open to opinions though. If the 175/195 is better in P3D then I would go that route. Can I point the installer anywhere making for an easy install into P3D(I don't have migration tool and have done all scenery/aircraft installs myself so far with no issues)? Does everything work ok? Any overall impressions? Are they worth it? From what I've read, they appear to be pretty good aircraft with the only exception being …

Hello all, I'm just curious to see how the community feels about the following two aircraft coming out very soon. I am eagerly awaiting them and trying to get updates as often as I can. Are any of you patiently (or impatiently) waiting the release (full) of the Milviz's 350i and Aerosoft's CRJ? I know, two different categories of aircraft but, in my opinion, could be real beauties.

Hi guys, now I switched as well from FSX to Prepar3D 2.2 and im very happy in general. I'm using ORBX Global + Vector with FS Global 2010 and I have mostly around 30 fps even in Los Angeles and New York etc. Almost everything is on max. now, after some tweaks in the Prepar3D.cfg My system is: Core i5-2500K OC on 4,3 GHZ AMD Radeon HD 7950 OC Boost 8 GB DDR3-Ram Windows 8.1 x64 But there is still one thing what I don't get and I hope someone has an idea.
