I see Captain Sim is having a sale on the 777 for P3D and I am considering picking it up as I don't know when PMDG will release their 777. Does anyone here have it running in P3D? If yes, is it as buggy as their other products? What issues are you having with it? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I used to use FSPassengers with FSX to add a GPWS (with call outs) to most aircraft. Does anyone know of a way to easily add a GPWS to aircraft in P3D (2.4)? Thanks,Rick

Hi! I installed ORBX FTX Global to my FSX but it loads time by time where I'm flying in a radius right under the plane. I've seen many youtubevideos from FTX Global where they can see big cities full loaded when they're flying in lower altitude. Do I have any settings wrong or why does my FTX Global just load under my plane, time by time, where I'm flying? I mean, when I'm landing for example in LA or London or any other big city, wouldn't I be able to see the whole city from the air even though I may drop some more FPS? Regards M1nken

Hi all; Help pls... I installed the new Aerosoft Airbuses into my P3D v2.4 and when I go into the SIM and choose the airbus a/c I don`t get any prompt to authorize and addon and also when the a/c loads, it seems that it loads as try out or something. Can get it to work as it should. It`s like it need to get activate or something like that. Please help.

Hello all, I fly exclusively GA and in Europe. In FSX I have used RealityXP GNS430/530 in FSX for some years now and would miss the convenience of an autopilot that is programmable. I am about to buy a GTX970 and switch to P3D (I have versions 1 and 2). The last hurdle to P3D is the GPS. Can I tap the views of the flightsim community and ask for opinion on whether the Mindstar GNS430/530 or the Flight1 GNS750 is the better bet? Please bear in mind that I am Europe based and that NAVDATA will have to be for that region. Help! Just came back to Preapr3d after a few months off and noticed there is a patch 2.4 available - however it requires my version 2.2 to be patched to 2.3 before I can install it - does anyone know where I can get this incremental patch 2.2-2.3? (before anyone asks bizarrely the Prepar3d website does not keep any legacy patches only the current 2.3- 2.4! and I also have no wish to install it from scratch again as I have so many add-on's installed and configured on my current install - any help is appreciated.

Hi to everybody, back to simming after some years, with my half decent rig (i7 3770 @4,1k, 8gb, gtx670) I had decent framerates flying the razbam Metroliner on an old Hanns monitor (1280x1024). Today I bought a new 24" lcd monitor (1920x1080) and with the same settings the framerates dropped to unflyable stuttering values. I'd think that's a gpu issue, even quite oddly Gpu-z showed 50-60% of load only. Anyway do you think a new gtx970 would be a good upgrade for my system, or would be better a faster cpu? I have done a back-to-back comparison of the iFly 737-800 in both FSX and Prepar3D v2.4, with the same add-ons (ORBX), at the same airfield (Barkston Heath AB in the UK) and I must confess I am very disappointed with the frame rates in P3D. Whereas I can achieve approximately 38-40 FPS in FSX, I am only really getting half of this at 18FPS in P3D. This to me is almost a show-stopper for serious use of P3D with my current rig. I understand that FSX is predominantly CPU-based whereas P3D does allegedly make more use of GPU. Even turning the sliders down in P3D (as some have suggested) seems to have little effect in improving the situation. I am using a GTX 970 graphics …

Hello, I have Global, Vector and Europe LC installed. When I fly long distance and high altitude, When I descent to my destination, the texture and objects are not showing. What could be the problem ?

Boy...what you DO NOT know is there.... I bought (and not sure if this is actually part of the custom CYBD (Bella-Coola) scenery or not...might be in ORBX GLOBAL!) ORBX CYBD, and decided to take in the sights. So..I headed out of the airport...and took in the scenery of the lake, as you fly past the marina at the delta. I headed along the lakeshore in the Jet Ranger III and kept onwards to the end of the lake. Out ahead, I saw that a river emptied into the lake and went around a corner of the mountainside. Hi, community. I'm using P3Dv2.4 from last November and had installed it on the same HD (same PC obviously) as FSX. Now, I'm thinking to completely remove my setup of FSX to save HD space. Does anyone help to share any experience on doing that?. I'm a little afraid I will loose some parts of my P3Dv2.4 setup (like FSX Simconnect, for example, etc.) with the risk of making my P3Dv2.4 unusable. I have the Estonian tool also installed. Hi all, Im running Prepar3d now on 5920k clocked to 4.4, 16gb ddr4, 240gb ssd, 2way sli Asus strix 980gtx cards. And im pretty happy, but i want more. Im asking all high end boys out there. Is the 5960x and 32gb ddr4 and 3way sli 980 gtx worth a shoot? I wanna have awesome system for running this great game. And be able to get high framrates in 4k in future. For now i just want steady 60fps with all my rex4, orbx, pilot edge, and all settings to max to runt smoothly on 60fps. Have anyone tried 3way sli 980 gtx, 5960x 8core cpu and 32gb ddr mem? Anyone else using the new Airbus 318/319/320/321 bundle from Aersoft on p3d 2.4? My sim has been running, fine and smooth. Bought this the other day, and when I try to use these turns into jerk-o-vision. Sim is fine with other payware like Majestic Q400 etc

Such a great aircraft in FS9 (never flew her in FSX) but she is long in the tooth now ...

Imaginesim has released some files that make their KATL scenery compatible with P3D V2. They also fix the "boxed" taxiway lights in the process.

Hi everyone, I recently purchased Orbx FTX Global, and I have been having a few issues with it. Before the purchase and installation, FSX was working fine in all locations without crashes. After the purchase, FSX has been crashing in the first few seconds after it loads all the scenery. It crashes at random airports not even near each other. However, some locations do work. Does anyone know a fix for this problem? All help will be appreciated. Thanks!

Dears I have fixed the problem this morning, Now i have all FIP working under P3D 2.4 and in the II° PC as well the solution is easy, download the right simconnect here : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B21...ew?usp=sharing and install it. BE SURE SAIFLIGHTSIMX and DIRECTOUT SERVICE ARE RUNNING AND CHECK VISUAL C++ YOU HAVE INSTALLED When P3D is working push a side menu on FIP to wake up !!

Borrowing from Rob Ainscough's web page banner, I installed my Christmas gift to myself and went head first down the P3D V2 rabbit hole. Also did a complete face plant when I hit bottom, since the installation was corrupted (still not sure why) and it destroyed my scenery libraries in P3D V1.4!!! I'm trying to venture out and fly in some new areas. But, one issue that I've always had is determining the height of mountains. In the clouds, ATC will fly you right into a mountain. Is there anything in the sim (or relatively easy to find outside of it) that can help determine how high those mountains are? Thanks, Rick

Happy new year everyone, I recently built a system for simming (4790K OC to 4.6GHz on water, EVGA GTX 980 SC, 16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, and a couple of SSD's) and I noticed that airports have no lights on the runway's or aprons in P3D 2.4. This happens on default as well as payware airports. I thought it may have been a driver issue when I changed video cards and reverted to 344.75 WHQL driver that I knew worked but no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

DreamFlight Studios and JetStream Designs have combined their efforts and have just released the Perpignan airport in southwest France. The announcements and advertisements do not make it clear if it is compatible with P3Dv2. The airport looks very good. Can anyone who has purchased it confirm it's compatibility with P3Dv2? Thanks

I had my GTN 750 working in P3d v2.2, and downloaded the latest version (compatible with P3D2.3) when I did a clean install of P3D v2.3. I'm experiencing a CTD when loading an a/c (Real-Air Duke v2 and the default KingAir 350) that I have configured to use the GTN 750 with. I've also found that de-configuring the GTN 750 by using the Configurator isn't enough, I also need to restore the panel.cfg file as well. The version of the GTN750 installer that I have is 1.0.0.3. I'm sure that I downloaded the correct installer that stated compatibility with P3D v2.3. Is anyone having the same issue, or is anyone running the GTN 750 OK? Thanks for any help or clues for t…
