For the beta testers - how easy was it to get your addons into 2.5? With the new folder structure and re install, can we expect addon installers to still work? What exactly changes in the folder structure? Anything that won't work anymore and we have to wait for updated installers?

Hi all. On Prepar3D 2.4, no matter which aircraft I use or which city I'm in, when I reset the flight from the menu, it rolls back to the default scenery with default plane (F35 I think) Any way to change it? Thanks

Hi, I have no AI traffic installed and only road traffic but inside P3D the traffic keeps reloading from time to time. Rather annoying. Any one else on this matter ? Thanks Michael Moe

It's looks like v2.5 is getting close (final Beta so hopefully not too much longer before release) ... I even tossed Captain Sim's C-130 (FSX only aircraft) at v2.5 after getting the OK from CS ... made a few adjustments so the installer would work and viola ... WARNING: I just jumped in ... no reading of manuals, no figuring anything out ... and it shows. Tested on Orbx Homer (PAHO) recent release for P3D, without an (ObjectFlow.dll) ... seemed to work well. Yes I missed something on landing, thought I had the gear down, but maybe the skids? Don't know, I'm sure there's a C-130 pilot somewhere around here to enlighten me. Cheers, Rob.

I cannot get P3D started with tesselation checked. It always does a CTD and there's nothing in the Windows 8.1 Event logs. Does the shader folder need to be deleted?

I want to un-install ready for 2.5 but don't want to re do all my controls, What file and where is it please? Thanks

I am looking to buy p3d after a long break from FSX. It seems after some research that P3D is really ready to go out of the box with minor tweaking compared to FSX. I am looking for some advice on add ons that i either have or will purchase for p3d: Flightsim Commander - Is this still one of the better products to use or is there something better for P3D FTX Vector/ Global Active Sky Rex PMDG - When it releases Aerosoft Airbus Extended X Traffic - ? dont know which one as i have heard WOI and My Traffic. Hey everyone, I have been doing a lot of tweaking and experimenting with DSR in Prepar3d the last few days and I am finding it very stuttery and plain impossible with lots of weather. This is disappointing because it looks WAY better than the normal p3d settings. I an not using NI just Nvidia Control Panel and p3d settings. I feel I shouldn't be seeing poor results with my system: i7 4790k OC 4.4GHZ Gtx 770 2gb SAMSUNG 40"led TV in PC mode Anyone else having similar issues or know some tricks?

So I have decided to return to FSX after some time away. I have P3d 2 (not installed), FSX (just started installing again), and FSX Steam (not installed). After some self debate I decided to just stick with the old girl FSX. Before I left I had spent a lot of $ on Alaska paper charts and own Orbx PAKT and PFJ. I was hoping that Orbx would show the love to PAKT & PAJN in P3D by the time I returned. But it does not look to happen anytime soon - hence FSX won the install. Why my Air Traffic only shows CRJ-700? I'm using vPilot, I configured it to show all aircraft, but no matter what is the aircraft flying, it only shows CRJ-700 Is there a fix? Thanks

Hi guys, looking for some advice please. Looking for a complex jet for prepar3d, either 737 or a320, but I only want native prepar3d so for now no pmdg unfortunately. I think that only leaves the ifly 737? If so how good is it? Tried a friends aerosoft Airbus in prepar3d but that disappointed me for a couple of reasons. Firstly it seems it isn't as accurate as I'd like. While pushing the limits on purpose, prepar3d said i overstressed the aircraft. Obviously that isn't supposed to be possible in an a320 so that highlights a possible inaccuracy in the flight modelling. Also not all cockpit switches work and you can't dim displays etc so that also counts it out …

As I understand it, the vertical field of view with wide aspect set to true is 34 deg. Can this be changed? I know you can create a new window and override the fov but when you do the zoom changes. Zoom is a magnification and carries distortion with it. I want to change the fov (for a large screen) and still be able to maintain a zoom of one? Is this possible?

I will be building a new computer later this week. Am planning on installing FSX:Steam. It is my understanding that FTX Global and Vector, plus the areas will correctly install on Steam. My question is how about the individual FTX Airports. I think I read somewhere they may not install correctly on Steam; are there any problems with FTX Airports on Steam.

I have a great setup for xplane. Specs below. I run xplane with pretty high settings and stays locked at 30 fps with hdr on 4xssaa with most planes I fly including the carenado HD series like the b1900. however I'm a vfr guy. I love eye candy. How well would my system perform with p3d? I was a long time fsx user until a few years ago. I know there are several tweaks for it but are those relevant anymore with p3d? I wanted to get the following products as a base: Orbx global ftx Orbx vector Real environment essentials plus Ksna from simmarket ( I fly on pilotedge all the time) Carenado b1900 and kingair. My first 4K video ... well sorta, it is 4K but it's just a stop motion (screen captures) showing Terrain Shadows working at various times of day with and without clouds (cloud shadows). The is still early Beta 2, more Beta/RCs will probably come later. The bridge extrusion issue is still present on my setup, but I need to do more testing ... have passed on results to LM. Hi guys! I just purchased Prepar3d and im looking forward to play it. I had a test run, but i notice its a bit laggy with the default settings. My speccs: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit AMD FX-8350 Black Edition (Socket-AM3+, 4.0GHz, 8-Core, 8MB L2 + 8MB L3 Cache) 8 GB RAM Sapphire Radeon R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ So what do you guys recommend to make the game run smooth? I dont know much about tweaking, so i just dont wanna mess up anything.. Thats why i ask here Thanks!

I was running GMapHD on my Android a while back with P3D. I recently picked up a Surface Pro 3 and would like to run the same type setup on it. Does anyone have any experience with their EFB for FSX? I am really only looking to stream a moving map overlay onto a sectional chart. Will their EFB perform this? Or is their any other software I should take a look at? thx
