Hi, I have Prepare3DV4 and I’m trying to set up AivlaSoft but failing miserably. Is there anyone who can tell me the sequences, as I’m not getting it right? Plus where exactly is the CFG scenery file located in the Prepar3Dv4, I may be getting that wrong. Any help would be very much appreciated. Cheers Jack

Trying to better understand how this works. Take a 4 core HT enabled CPU, with P3D V4, would I see any difference in performance using an AM: 01010101 (85 decimal) Vs 10101010 (170 decimal)

I have always had fsx on its own dedicated HDD, now that Im finally getting v4 and my first ssd is there any real performance advantage to having v4 on its own ssd, its a 1 tb ssd and the pc is just for flightsim, so its not going to be filling up with a lot of apps and games.

So the visibilty limits you can set in Active Sky don't seem to work with P3D v4. Does PTA have something that I can set so that I can't see 500 miles in front of me at FL350? Cheers!

This is sortof an age old question with no real answers that i've even been able to "visualize" through scenery library manipulation, at least the first part of this.. I like the roads that you can see when using UTX.. if i use the same settings for vector (all of them on).. the depiction has less roads, esp when compared to photo scenery. *This is my first question.. has anyone noticed the roads are less with Vector? (but streams and other things are increased, which i like about vector) Is it because its a different data source and by fewer i mean secondary roads arent there compared to utx (despite checked off) In general in my install i have the scenery…

Already I have sent 2 e-mails to Simbreeze but no answer. Does anyone of you have Hurghada V2 ? And if so could you load it in v4 to see if it is working ? I have been to Hurghada on holidays and would like to fly to it .. Thanks, Gerard

I thought I read that this was coming out yesterday but I can't seem to find it. I was only able to see texture direct without soft clouds. Has this been released yet? If so, is there a fee if you have the v3 version? Thanks!

I post this topic since I currently own only P3D not FSX, neither X-plane. But since 2007 when I play FS2004 for first flight simulator, I have always desperately wanted good A330, closed to PMDG or fslabs a320's quality. I'll happily buy new simulator if there's a good A330 on that simulator even if it's not for P3D. During the time searching about it, I found these A330 variations: JarDesign, RWDesign, BlackBox Simulation. Also I know Aerosoft is developing new a330, and heard about Fslabs are going to develop a330 but it seems not going to happen soon. Which one is the best one? If there are better others, please share with me.

Hi I want to inject some GA AI into P3Dv4, without using MT6 or UT2. Would anyone be able to point be to some GA flightplans (I have the aircraft already). Alternatively, is anyone successfully using the FSX GA-Traffic tool to make their own plans in P3Dv4? If so could you please advise what settings you use, i.e the "Binary path" and "FSX path" ( I presume this is just a point toward the main folder?), as well as the "AFCAD files path"? cheers Ian

Hi guys, Just a quick question in regards to the P3D V4 Client. After following some advice from another topic i was advised to reinstall the P3D Client. I have done this and the issue i was facing seems to be resolved, however when looking in add / remove programs the file size for the client shows around 358 MB, Prior to uninstalling it showed around 700mb. I'm just concerned that i am missing files or part of the client now? I don't know why there is a difference in file size after reinstalling it? Does anyone have any idea?

Hey guys i was thinking of selling my 2 titans sc in sli 6gb And getting a 1080ti Is it worth it or should i stay with my current gpus Only issue is AAin 4k using 4xssaa and also tried 8xmsaa Gpus get swamped. Thoughts? Thanks Mike

Ok. I played around with all of my settings and it finally came down to ... Aircraft Traffic! I'm using MyTraffic (v6) and always noticed over time that when it goes to load AI, that's when it would crash. Confident it was graphics related, I never bothered playing with the setting. It makes perfect sense...Prepar3d v4 is crashing trying to load all of my MyTraffic AI, etc. I also read that FSX airplanes will make Prepar3d crash, I used FSX 737 just fine. So, is the fix just to lower aircraft setting or can I do something in MyTraffic to lower AI traffic? Tim

Okay I'm about to jump from fsx to v4. I'm just curious about what developers offer a free update to v4. I have the flight 1 gtn 750 for fsx. If I install it again will there be an option for a v4 install? Also what about ezdok v2. And as for all my orbx products I'm having nightmares about installing all of it. I wonder if you just let FTX central do it's thing and let it download all my files again? Can anyone let me know how FTX central will pick up on my new install of v4.

Tonight I flew into Imaginesim Atlanta in the TFDI 717 with Orbx Global and NA LC. On approach I started getting a chime that sounded like the VAS warning I would get in P3Dv3. I know KATL and the 717 are big resource hogs but I have 32gb of DDR4 installed in my [email protected] build. Is the VAS warning still enabled in v4 or is this something else? I landed fine and the chime went away after touchdown. Any idea? I can't wait until FT releases a new Atlanta due to the poor performance of this version.

Hi, I have installed Widetraffic 64 in my home cockpit comprising of 04 client computers and 01 Server computer. After starting of P3D v4, it crashed on all the 04 client computers with error VCRUNTIME140.dll. It happened again and again on all the 04 Client computers. Surprisingly, this error did not appear on Server computer. Then, I uninstalled Widetraffic 64 from all the client computers. After uninstallation, the client computers are again working satisfactorily. This confirms that CTD of client computers by VCRUNTIME140.dll is being caused by Widetraffic 64. Previously, I had installed Wideview 64 and all the computers were working without any issu…

Hi Folks. I'm running P3Dv3 with Win7. If I fly a couple of hours flight, during the flight at least twice P3D stops momentarily to reload the scenery traffic etc. Does anybody know what may be causing this please. Also, the program will 'blip' on and off now and again for a split second. Thank you John

OH boy, everything was sweet last night tonight it's just not working... ill be posting this around a few forums relating to my add-ons I've not seen anyone have this problem, so if I can work it out and ill update with the solution. I jumped in started fs2crew, and PMDG 777 and lights never come on. I then move outside all working. When am in the cockpit and am looking out the window to 12 o'clock. The lights cut off, I have made a video to show you hope you can see what I mean, First time using youtube. Hopefully, someone can work out what is the problem. I'm trying to find a utility that I can use to monitor CPU and GPU temps and usage, maybe memory, overlaid on the screen in P3D4 while I fly. I've seen some mentions of MSI Afterburner but I don't really need all the extras that come with it. Is this the only solution or is there another useful tool that can do this? Thanks!

What is SimDirector??

I've been trying to find the lastest SID/STARS/APP for subject airports but can't find anything. Usually use eurocontrol for charts of different countries but couldn't access for Germany...unless they need a fee subscription. Regards Dario
