Back in the days of FS98 - 20 years ago - the sim would stutter as you flew over the Prime Meridian in London. With all the advances in flight sim since then I'm really surprised the problem is still there in P3D. I noticed it when slewing across London when testing performance in P3D v3.4. After slewing up to 1500ft at Rwy 28 at London City airport I increased speed to 240kts and started to move towards Canary Wharf. As I approached the buildings P3D stuttered really badly for a couple of seconds. I wondered what could be causing it but finally the penny dropped. The aircraft is crossing the Prime Meridian. As a brand new user of Prepar3v4, and never having the previous versions, I was curious about scenery compatibility. Can a scenery like Niagara Falls/Buffalo from Aerosoft (or OTHERS) that were compatible with Version 3 also work in Version 4? There are many excellent planes and sceneries for the previous versions of Prepared, but V4 is is still quite lacking. Stan

I'm a TrackIR user and as much as I love P3Dv4, I have to admit that the smoothness when panning is nowhere near as good as my experience with FSX:SE. The FPS counter in the corner constantly reports almost solid 60FPS, yet the sim stutters a lot when I am panning. I've done a lot of searching on this and have tried to set things up to minimize the stuttering but the results still aren't great yet. I have Vsync set up on Standard (rather than Adaptive), at 1/2 refresh rate. I have also tried setting the lowest possible settings in P3Dv4 and still get the stutters and lack of smoothness, so I don't think the problem stems from excessive load on my GPU/CPU. I'…

Hi guys, i was planning on doing some flights with the Aerosoft Airbus, i then realise my radio stack is black can't change to any frequencies unless i use the ATC screen, all the rest of my other gauges are working as normal. I recently got the Blackbox Airbus A330 and A340. However all the gauges are black to, i cant interact with any switches at all, I've looked in the panel.cfg files everything seems to be inplace. Any ideas for what may be causing this problem? Any help will be appreciated.

Hello, I have added the GTN 750 to the Douglas C-47 V3.14, in P3DV4. So, I can press SHIFT 6 and it will pop up, replacing the normal GPS500. I would also like to click the word GPS in the monitor and have it also popup the GTN 750, just as it would normally popup the GPS500. But, I cannot figure out how to do this... Has anyone else been able to do this and can either help me or point me to a post? Thanks!

I bought Orbx global today and after i downloaded it and tested it i thought it looked like it didnt render very far. i've tried to higher the lod radius in the cfg and increasing the sliders in the graphics option but no diffrence after that. my Pc specs are as following: I5-4460, GTX 750TI, 8GB ram (1000gb HDD) Any idea of fixes?? anything would be helpful

Hallo. I have Prepar 3d v.4 and new version of REX4 Direct Texture HD. I can configure two window "Configuration Setting and Optimazation" and "Texture install configuration.". I can after that not click on Main Navigation Meny. When I try click on Texture meny as Cloud/Effects and Sky Colors this window coming up: " IMPORTANT! Please make your appropriate settings adjustment before continuing. Click OK to continue". When I click on OK the first side Configuration settingts and Optimization coming up again. Whats wrong? I can't seem to start at northern airports in the UK in P3Dv3.4. The first time this happened to me was when i was planning to do Leeds Bradford to London Heathrow in the Aerosoft airbus A319 it crashed when it was loading the scenario, also i was doing San Francisco to Heathrow in the PMDG 747 (in the sim rate) it crashed when i entered Scotland (not when i was on sim rate) again the reasons were the same when ever i would try to start at a airport in the northern parts. This error seems to happen from Leeds Bradford and airports further up such as Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. However i get multiple crash reasons such as util.dll, ntdll.dll and MSVCR120…

Ok....so after a couple months of MyTraffic working flawlessly it started crashing my sim. I don't know if my xml got corrupted but after creating a new one and reactivating it it seems to be working again. Only problem is doesn't seem right. Even with traffic sliders maxed out there are no aircraft at Orbx KSAN. None visible at the gates, none visible on Plan G (though I see general aviation aricraft in the surrounding areas). There are F-18s viewable in Prepar3d so I believe MyTraffic is working. I am using the FSUIPC limiter with these settings.... So I just started having a problem loading and starting Prepar3d V4. No recent changes to add ons. All of a sudden at like 86-100% loading, during AI traffic, Prepar3d crashes on me. I use MyTraffic6 added on the xml way. It's been there awhile. I was starting at KSAN orbx with SoCal. If i turned off AI traffic it loaded fine. I could then slowly turn up the AI traffic to 100% in game and everything went fine. Next time I load up Prepar3d with traffic on, crash at the same point. Using the FSUIPC traffic limiter at 100 planes. Any thoughts on whats going wrong and why? thanks Jason

I have been using PFPX with P3D v3 and exporting flight plans with no issues into my PMDG aircraft. I have just installed P3D v4 having now uninstalled v3 and today tried out PFPX in order to load a flight . I have loaded a flight plan into PMDG but when I go into the aircraft the flight plan is not there and nor are my previous flight plans. In addition when I first tried it this morning when I entered an alternative destination it's crashed PFPX but eventually the problem resolved itself. I am therefore seeking help in order to solve my export issue. Many thanks in advance. Michael

I cannot get my Turbine Duke V2 or Legacy V2 Config Panel to allow me to enable my F1 GTN 750 in the planes, I only just purchased the F1 GTN and don't know how to enable it in very many planes, I have only been able to enable it in my A2A C172 and Carenado PA46. Thanks in advance.

I run v4 on a 4k monitor which has the capability to run at either 60 or 30hz. I've seen posts where 30hz can give a very smooth result, but I can't seem to get the settings figured out. My system: Asus Z87 Pro i7 4790k OC @ 4.8 Strix 1080ti OC @ 2g 16g DDR3 2133 ram 500g SSD - Win 10, 1tb HD - P3d Most of the time, I'm getting about 20fps on the ground, but there's a lot of stutters when the camera moves around. In the air in dense scenery, I'm getting 40-50+ I tried running the monitor at 30hz and the only change I made in P3d was to turn vsync and triple buff on, leaving framerate at unlimited. So I just bought chaseplane a few hours ago. Got a ton sorted. Just a few things the middlemosue button overlay/ui isnt working, aswell as the Framing Overlay. WOuld be great if somebody could help me! Thanks

I currently have EZ DOK version 1.18.7 installed in P3D V3. I have now purchased P3D V4 and I want to use EZ DOK in my new version. Do I first have to uninstall the previous version i.e 1.18.7 and then purchase the new version 2.5. Just wondering what the correct process is. Many thanks in anticipation. Michael

Looking for a small jet for v4. Would like a newer product with glass and, if possible, auto throttle. I was thinking of getting the Corenado Phenom 300 but it is yet not v4 ready. Spoiled by the Eclipse 550 in Xplane 11 and hope to find some thing equal to it for P3Dv4.

I previously owned these 2 airports for FSX and had no problems, but I tried copying these to my P3D folder and install them manually, but they are both missing terminal buildings. I've seen youtube videos of people flying in and to these airports in P3D before and the terminal buildings shows up fine for them. I'm not sure how to fix this. I've managed to copy other FSX airports over manually without any problems except for these 2. They are both Thai Creation - VVTS and VVNB... Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Noi Ba International, Hanoi, Vietnam.

I have the PMDG737NGX for FSX and it has worked great for 2 years. As soon as the 737 was available for Prepar3D V4 I purchase it, with the intent of deleting FSX. However, almost every time I takeoff, the engines shut off between 2000 and 3000 feet. I set the fuel level to full and watched the fuel decrease to nothing right after takeoff. After the reset, I set fuel to full again, but this time the fuel depleted quickly, but at 3000 feet, I still had 33K (started with 46K), and the engines shut down again. This has happened several times. I have been able to fly normally a couple of times, but the last few times, the engines shut down. Any ideas?

Hello, I'm new to P3D, I try to install the Tongass Fjord scenery folllowing the tutoriel posted on Avsim and each time I have a CTD. Anyone manage to install and run Togass properly on P3D ?
