Hello I would like some help with figuring out which hardware is causing these huge pauses. I do my testing in orbx souther California LA(the most demanding scenery to date). when I'm flying with the f16 the stutters are much worse and more frequent and I already know its because of the speed of the plane which puts more load on the cpu to load the autogen faster etc. in smaller slower planes I do get these stutters but not as frequent as with fast planes. obviously one of my hardware is not keeping up I highly doubt it software related( I have a feeling it might be the power supply that cant remain stable under those heavy loads) cant be my gpu because I check the usage …

Many of the sceneries and airports that I used to enjoy in FSX also had Prepar3d install exe's. Most of them were for version 2 or version3 of P3. Question is - Can I install these in version 4? Would there be any problems doing that? Stan

Does anyone have experience with both of these products and can tell me which one would be better overall for use in P3D v4? I'm looking for a good ATC replacement package.

In the past I showed that moving to my 1tb evo 850 Samsung resulted in about 3 min less in load time for a massive install I'm wondering what the load times might look like decrease wise going from this to raid0? I'd assume there would be some benefit from the raid0 performance. I guess it may depend on whether onboard or dedicated card. There is also this vs maybe buying 4 regular hard drives and comparing. I'd like to increase capacity but lower the load times even more with p3dv4 Any experiences. Thanks in advance.

Hello all, Can I have opinions on what would be the natural progression from the A2A C182 in training terms. I want to move up to twin engine aircraft for multi training. Nothing too beefy or racey. Something that would be relatively gentle on me but while still a challenge and giving me the next logical step up. I'd prefer steam gauges, but if there's an outstaning glass cockpit ac I'd consider that too. I've been through the Carenado/Alabeo catalogue but can't decide. Besides, there might be a something out there by another publisher. Will pay up tp £35 GBP for a quality ac that meets the bill. Thank you all in advance, Gabrielle B

Can someone explain how to get the Realair Lancair Legacy for Prepar3Dv3 into v4. A lot of video clips show this aircraft in the v4 demo. I know Realair for Prepar3dv3 installed to an external location outside of the root folder(I have this installed for P3Dv3) given this, there must be some coding to point to the Prepar3D v3 location. I was hoping to copy this using the v4 location, but I can't find the "pointer" anywhere, so can't copy it over. Steve s

Question: I read that this was designed to work with ForeFlights on iPads. Could this work with Google maps app on Ipad and even certain traffic apps on iPad?

I have an issue where every time I open prepar3d the splash screen shows up for the normal amount of time then it disappears. Task manager shows prepar3d running in the background but I cannot select it. If I hit the Esc. button the menu comes up like it would if prepar3d was running but when I select anything it crashes the sim. Has anyone had this issue? Thanks!

This is a strange problem I discovered yesterday with P3D V 3.4. I have been using FSUIPC for all my settings for quite awhile. I have some A2A aircraft, where the trim works much better if I use the A2A control config program, and it order to do that I haved to enable the controller settings in P3D, which otherwise I have disabled. So with the controller settings enabled in P3D, I still have everything running with FSUIPC because all assignments in P3D are deleted. Now here is my problem, I delete the parking brake setting for my joystick in P3D, hit OK, and assign it in FSuipc. Everything works fine until I close down P3D, and then restart P3D, and now the park…

Hi I recently downloaded the pilots ultimate mesh and have downloaded the one zip file and 18 archive files. Each time I start to unzip the zip file it gets about 10% through then gets an error. I am unzipping from my c-drive to my e-drive which is where p3d is located. I seem to recall reading some nuance about doing this on here in the recent past but can seem to find it. Hello, I have a new problem in my P3D v4 Professional with software's like AivlaSoft and GSX at Manchester, EGCC from UK2000. Whenever I want to board my plane with GSX they can't find the parking as you can see in the image, when I search for the correct gate and "wrap me here" then they wrap me to a differend spot on the taxiway not at the gates, very annoying. Hello, I just installed ORBX FTX Global in P3D v4. FTX Central is working fine but FTX Configurator (including OLC and Lights) are not working. If i try to open one those three i get a message saying: ''Unable to locate the scenery.cfg file: Unable to locate the scenery.cfg file'' Link to the message Is this a known problem and does anyone know how to fix this?

It's easy to demonstrate which GPU settings (AA, resolution, etc) can bog down GPU, AND it's also easy to demonstrate how specific slider groups will impact GPU greatly, mainly being on the Lighting slider group in V3. What I have no idea about IS WHAT ROLE DOES THE GPU PLAY in the scenery detail sliders, the cloud density sliders, and so forth. I have a GTX Titan original which according to certain benchmarks is able to benchmark somewhere around 60% of what 1080Ti FE can do, so this suggests to me I will be able to move for example terrain/cloud shadow distance & quality sliders further right than I can currently, and means GPU will likely be less of the culprit i…

What small plane can I use to fly out of tapini besides the Alabeo DA42? that is fully compatible with p3d v4? I tried to use the DA42 and it just doesn't move with full throttle, it's like the parking are applied but they are not. Thanx

Hello, all, After discutions with Friends, we don't be able to decide between the 2 Pilot's Global meshes proposed. We want to make the best choice for p3dv4.... to have a strict minimum of troubles with our's airports (most from Orbx and aerosoft). I listen that before Orbx based all their creations on the version global 2010 (and now the nearest global seem to be the 2018 version... adapted for 64b.) many thanks for your's answers

I'm curious to see if anyone is successfully running PFC hardware in Windows 10 and P3Dv4. I've been reading that there were some USB issues around a year ago that were fixed with a motherboard upgrade on the controllers. I'm still waiting to hear back from the company but was curious if anyone knew if these issues were worked out. Thanks, Robert

I am using Prepar3D v4, and I have add-ons such as PFPX, Little Nav Map, Flight1 GTN 750/650, ChasePlane, FS2Crew, GSX, FSUIPC, etc... How would I reserve core 0 strictly for Prepar3D exclusively while all the others are using my other cores? I want to maximize and prioritize my CPU to run Prepar3D as efficiently as possible. I have i7-3770k overclocked to 4.5GHz, with HT on... could someone tell me what Affinity Mask value to use in my prepar3d.cfg file?

Orbx announces release of LOWI v1.10 to fix installation problems encountered on P3d v4.

I have not been on in a couple of years. So any input will help. I have P3DV2(runs well) and I am on a ASUS republic of gaming... INTEL CORE i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40 ghz 2.40 ghz 16gb memory 64 bit operating system x64 based processer. My question is if I upgrade to P3DV4 will it run the same as the V2 or will there be degredation on my system that works well already? I do not want to upgrade to stronger LAPtop if I have too. Also is there a discount on price if I were to upgrade to V4, since I already have V2?
