September the 1st the leaves in Prepar3D changed to Autumn. This seems early. I live in the Midwest and leaves are still green. At least until late September. I know the weather influences when leaves change. It would be nice if a developer could figure out the changing of the seasons in the sim according to location and date. Kind of like a combination of downloading current weather and landclass. Would it be possible to adjust the timing of the seasons? What say you.

Hi guys, I've been away from the scene now for a good 3 years, due to my little girl joining us in the world, so she's taken up my spare time. However with the release of P3Dv4, I've decided to try and get back into civilian simulation on the odd spare day I now get when she's in Nursery. I was wondering what recommendations can you guys suggest so I can get the most realistic look and feel to my sim with regards Traffic and ATC. Aircraft wise, I only use A2A aircraft, primarily the C172, Comanche and Cherokee for my GA flying and PMDG 777 for my heavy metal. I would like to know if the glass smudges seen from the outside can be changed to clear? I know that the RA Config can clear the smudges and I assume that is for the VC Cockpit viewing out, but is a way to replace the glass smudge effect with clear glass in external view See link My guess is no. I'm starting to look at the various 3rd party GPS add-ons for P3Dv4 and am looking for recommendations. It looks like Flight1 has GNS and GTN varieties, Reality XP has a GNS option (thought I'm not sure if it is v4 compatible) and Mindstar has something. Just curious if I could get some feedback on what is currently the best add-on and hopefully the most compatible with various aircraft. Milviz 310, Xtreme Prototypes Lear, and A2A aircraft would probably my most desired. Thanks in advance.

The green notification bar that displays message from AS16, GSX and other programs used to be close to the top of my P3D window but since I re-installed v4 last week it has progressively got lower and lower on my screen until it is now at the bottom and looks if it's about to disappear altogether. Does anyone know how I can put it back to the top of the screen and fix it there without the use of Superglue? Thanks Phil

Hello all Up until I moved over to P3DV4, I was very happy using A2A's Accu-Feel for amongst other things, cockpit rattles and bangs! However, as this still isn't available for P3DV4 yet, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a suitable replacement for just the cockpit noises until such time that A2A release an updated version of Accu-Feel? Hello. I've been thinking about getting FSCaptain and am curious on any recent reports/experiences with it? How stable is it the beta version as I would like to be able to use it w/ P3Dv4? Also, how well does it work currently with the FSLabs A320? According to the docs and the forums, it looks like it does work. But how well? I also plan to run this from a networked computer. How has this been for anyone running this app in that type set up? Any issues? Thanks in advance for any comments/help. :)

Hi everyone, Sorry for the question that's probably been asked a million times already, but I'm having difficulty searching for answers. What is the general consensus about slow autogen loading in v4? I know settings, what I'm flying and where I'm flying all factor into this, but it just seems slow, and when the autogen does load, it does in blocks, often after I've flown past the area, like it's trying to catch up. I'm on a SSD and you can see my specs in the signature. Overall performance is fine with settings either maxed or pretty far to the right. I've eliminated some of the performance bottlenecks by tweaking shadows and dynamic reflections, but f…

Orlando for FSX is an awesome scenery. However, in P3dv4, my Orlando (KMCO) is filled with trees everywhere. It needs a lot of work. Is there any Orlando for v4 out there like the pay version in FSX? I fly there a lot and would love a great Orlando area and while we're at it, a great Las Vegas area as well (KLAS). Stan

Hello, On several occasions I have encountered a serious problem while flying online in shared cockpit. All of a sudden, without any apparent cause, the aircraft becomes uncontrollable, the controls becoming oversensitive. It looks like the simulation speed has been multiplied. We only fly the realair Lancair so I can't tell if it is aircraft specific or P3D related. Has anybody experienced this problem? Thank you.

Hello please if someone could advise me. Have 16 GB Ram and if I increase the DDR4 (2x8 GB) to 16 more, so 32 GB 3000 MHz is it any advantage for my P3D V4 ? Georgios

Ever since MegaScenery Earth modified the Install Manager to recognize P3D V4, the file will not download or if it does, will not unzip. I am getting a message from Windows Defender (running Windows 10) that it contains a trojan virus. I have had to use an older version of Install Manager and load the scenery using V3 and then manually connect to V4. Wondering if anyone else has run into this issue? Hi there, I've just bought a SSD and GTX1080ti with the view of upgrading from FSX SE to P3D V4. I have however noticed when I've just gone onto the recommended specifications on the LM website that they are recommending DDR4 2666 ram? I have 16 GB DDR3 1600 ram and was not looking for a complete PC Upgrade to run the sim. Has I meet or exceed all the other recommend specs, will I get good performance running DDR3 as opposed to the DDR4 2666? How crucial is it to have the latest ram to run the game? Thanks

Hey, I have tried to install a texture pack (p3dv4) for Israel and I have tried orbx aswell (global vector) and it dosen't change the txetures. It's showing in the editor that there is no problems but it dosen't work, I tried to move it to the buttom and it didn't change anything.

Hi all, My LCD monitor is rather old and I know it does have 4096 resolution. With this capability, does it do any good to select 4096 texture resolution in P3Dv4 or any add-on? I am totally confused and cannot find clear answers anywhere--even in the A2A forums, so I'd appreciate some help. I have all the A2A v4 aircraft and now use only the default GPS units in each. I would like to be able to use addon GPS units, but can't find a definitive answer as to which ones can be added to each A2A v4 aircraft using either the A2A configurator or some other method. These are the Flight 1 GTN 750/650; Flight 1 GNS 530/430; Mindstar GNS 530/430; Realty XP GNS 530/430 and Reality XP GTN 750/650. I think it would be very helpful if someone had a matrix showing possible integration/method of integration for each GPS Unit for each v4 A2A aircraft. …

Hi, I'm re-installing P3D V4 onto a new machine today. My controllers and monitor are also moving from the old machine to the new one, so the setup should be almost identical. I'd like to save some effort so rather than manually record and re-enter, just copy all my P3D configuration (graphics settings etc.) and controllers (axis, buttons etc.) setup from the old machine to the new one. Could someone in the know point me at the path/files that contain this data so i can just copy from the old machine to the new? Cheers! Brian

Hey Guys, I’m a little confused with regard to the FMC. I have flown Flight Sims for years and just recently decided to Get Prepar3d V4 and start my collection of all things Flight Sim again in 64bit. So I bought PMDG 737NGX. Love it but I find my knowledge lacking. I have been through the manuals but my problem is to do with the FMC being cycle 1108, I think. I have run tutorial a couple of times and thought why don’t I try and programme a route from Edinburgh to Heathrow to practice my learning so far. So the FMC is cycle 1108 which is 2011 eighth cycle I think. How do I get charts for this cycle that allow me to plot a route? I have looked at some sites and some a…

I am having problems trying to find the spot view (or is it chase view?) the view where you can use the hatswitch to fly around the aircraft. I have installed Ezdok 2.5 for V4 and it seems to be working fine. The last time I had Ezdok working in V3.4 it all seemed to happen without any problem, but for some reason, I am unable to assign this view to my throttle. I have FSUIPC and thought I might be able to assign it through there, but I can't find it in the list. Can anyone offer some help. Thanks fells.

I have a Msi gtx 1060 6gb Gaming X and memory speed clocks to 2025mhz in every game and under idle but in p3d it cloks down to around 1930 mhz. And because it's quad channel it's 2025 x4 = 8100 mhz on the memory. 1930 x4 = 7720. It's around 300 mhz underclock. And gpu usage is around 80-90% when I checked it. So why is my GPU underclocking in just p3d? If it whould run at normal speed I should get little better performence. Rest of the pc I5 4460 8gb ram asus h81me MB 525 gb ssd with p3d 1tb hdd
