Thanks to those that recommended UTL over the weekend. For what I am looking for, it add exactly what I want. My one question is, I was told some of the liveries are not up to date. From where I fly, I only noticed United and Delta having the old liveries. However, they also have the current. Is there a reason for that? Am I able to remove the old ones so that just the new ones get input into the sim? Thanks!

Yesterday my P3D was working great then today whenever I tried to open it the typical Prepar3d blue box shows up but after that it is a black screen. When I hit escape I get the options as if I was already loaded in a scenario and when I navigate from there I always end up at the same black screen. I have not tried to add or modify any aircraft or scenery in the last 24 hours. So far I have tried to repair and I deleted and did a fresh reinstall. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey guys With p3d v4 and AA settings. I have a 4k tv and my AA is set at 8xmsaa internally no ni which looks great and also 4xmsaa Only concern is at my fsdt airports klax cyvr etc I get jaggie lines on light poles and buildings Now setting it at 4xsaa which i should not have to with a 4k it brings performance down a little and more so in dense clouds Using 2 x titans sc 6gb each first edition in sli With a i7 4790k at 4.4ghz Ssd etc etc Shame on p3d or nvidia or both As with this kind of hardware i should be smashing performance Dont get me wrong flight simming has come along way. …

I have been testing & comparison with v3 and v4 for about a month now. To be honest, I do have feeling, v3, is more stable than v4 currently. V4 has quite few addons that are compatible with 64 bit platform. Some sceneries from v3 are not compatible with v4 yet, you'll see 3rd party aircraft bouncing on the ground and to the sky, also, when, mesh started to get messed up and FPS dropped during night time, which I am sure there will be going to be hotfix in the future. but currently, I love v3 more. for v3, I do have showing VAS 2.5GB remaining, thus I don't have problem yet so far now, If you plan to move to v4, go ahead, ge…

Hey fellas, need some help with this one. Thirty minutes after installing Acronis, the entire sim crashed. So if you're thinking of installing Acronis, then IMO I would give it a wide birth. I had troubles with the last version too. Anyway, it had trashed my Win10 install. This was confirmedb y my PC guru, who is reinstalling a fresh Win10 and copying across all the relevent files and folders. However, I am unsure how things will pan out when he returns the machine to me tomorrow. I have P3D on a separate drive, so my question is... if I have to reinstall P3DV4, is there a way of doing so and not having to reinstall all the addons. I am assuming I could copy all the scene…

I have my texture resolution set to ultra 4096x4096 but it just crossed my mind this is only because FB and (I think) FSDT sceneries want it like this. Since a 4k TV doesn't even have this resolution I'm doubting this even makes sense to select? On the other hand, will turning it down to high yield any performance increase when there aren't even any textures actually using ultra resolution?

Hello, I was wondering if there is a way to change the specific LOD radius of buildings only. Trees appear to have a very minimal performance hit when compared to buildings. Right now, I have the autogen LOD radius set to Medium, and the autogen sliders set to Very Dense. I'd like to increase the tree lod radius, but keep the buildings to a medium LOD radius. Since I use ORBX global, the trees are attached to the lights, and at night, that's what I care about; being able to see the lights in the distance. I don't particularly care about the buildings that far out, as long as I can see the night lighting. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for the help,

A while ago I posted a problem here that I was having with my keyboard not responding when I brought up P3Dv4. I thought I had it solved but it came back. To get the keyboard operational I had to either ctl-alt-del and bring up the task manager and immediately close it and press the Window key and click on the screen with the mouse. I have P3Dv4 running at a resolution of1920x1080 and my computer itself running at 1600x900. It's difference in screen resolutions that is the problem. If I make the computer screen resolution and the P3Dv4 resolution the same, P3Dv4 comes up normally. But I need different resolutions. When I have P3Dv4 set to the nativ…

Question: If I were to do a "REPAIR" for P3D...not an uninstall, would my main addons still be there? I mean things like my ORBX programs and planes that work within P3D. I know I tweaked some things with FSX and P3d, and I believe some of my gauges are now 32bit instead of 64bit. Stan

The OLC_SA_LIGHTS folder results in drastic dropping of FPS in some locales, I was annoyed with this even because I bought the openLC NA I also noticed that it came back that old problem of the Orbx lights dropping the same day FPS, where we had to disable using two files. As a palliative solution, disabling this "OLC_SA_LIGHTS" folder that does not cause problems only decreases the amount and intensity of night illumination. A pity, it was beautiful at night, but losing almost + - 20 FPS can not bear. Does anyone have any tips or do you have this problem too?

Hi all, Since making the switch from FSX SE I have to say the performance of P3Dv4 over the LA Basin, particularly around KLAX isn't great. I have all the ORBX goodies (Global, LC, Vector, SoCal region) flying a range of aircraft like the PMDG 737 / A2A Comanche and Real Air Turbine Duke. I do have FSDT KLAX installed alongside LatinVFR KSNA and KSAN. My FPS per se isn't terrible but I get a LOT of frequent pauses or mini freezes lasting 3-5 seconds. From memory this didn't happen (or nowhere near as much) using FSX SE. I have all the options which may impact frames turned off in the ORBX SoCal control panel. I am new to P3D (installed it yesterday) and I was playing around with the different views and I don't know what I clicked but I now don't have a 2D panel on any of the default planes. (I do still have the virtual cockpit) How do I get the 2D panel back?

Now that P3Dv4 has been out for a while and the most commonly used add-ons have been updated it would be interesting to hear what you guys think about this new version of P3D. I guess this has been the most anticipated version of P3D yet when we finally got what we all have been wishing for for so long...a 64-bit platform where we no longer need to worry about the notorious VAS issues and where developers now to a much larger degree can work with "free hands" not constantly having to worry about all limitations in previous versions of the platform. Can someone please walk me through how to get the new runway config for O'Hare installed correctly from the version in the download section? No matter what I do I can't seem to get it to work. I think I am following the instructions but each time I load up the sim, it is the old config. Thanks!

I have a full install of p3dv4 going on.. i noticed between my "clean" install and my dirty one that the dirty one's sky textures are a lighter blue (blue clear sky shot) for the test screen shot i was doing. I think i traced it down to the Texture folder.. likely the sky***.bmp files.. for instance.. sky_afternoon_0.bmp is dated 5/24/2017 on my clean install and on my dirty one its 1/25/2017 (older and different file size). I cant figure out what caused this.. as of yet i havent implemented EnvTex or Rex texture direct enhanced, though both were installed but no themes installed.. i also installed pta but no presets invoked.. the only other thing i guess might …

I am having issue with the RA Aircraft Config in P3d V3.4 - The config will not save any changes, it says The config panel has encountered an error while trying to modify options.xml file with your chosen settings. in FSX, I added stick_sensitivity_mode=0 to the FSX.cfg file to improve joystick characteristics. I always felt that it gave better performance and response that was closer to the real airplane. Does P3Dv4 still include the option to add stick_sensitivity_mode=0 ? Thanks, Rich Boll Wichita KS

Hello experts I have installed EU Norway and the Narvik, Framnes ENNK Airport as a separate purchase. There are some faulty parts because of two different airport layout files. ADEX_ADE_P3D.bgl for the separate FTX_AA_ENNK scenery folder and ADE_FTX_NOR_ENNK.bgl for the FTX_EU_NOR_05_SCENERY folder encluded in EU Norway. I just wondering whether I was not neccessary to purchase the single Narvik-Framnes-ENNK if I have already purchased EU Norway !! Hope for your Response. regards Roger

Does anyone know of any future US payware airports that developers are working on that aren't out now for any P3d? I was curious if there were any rumors or info on some that I might not know of. I have heard there is an KORD out but is far from complete. Other airports I am surprised that are not available would be the following: KPHL, KPIT, KCLE, KBNA, KSEA, KDTW, KBWI, KCMH - or even some popular regional airports would be nice. I realize this is not an easy task but was just curious as to any plans for any of these (or others) to be release. KORD is the one I want the most since I can't figure out a way to get the new runway config working in v4. Also,…
