So I’ve been having a few texture morphing and flickering issues. I deleted the terrain cfg file and let P3D build an new one. Then I closed P3D and ran FTX Central. However I noticed the new terrain.cfg file is smaller by a little bit and the texture count is less by about 20? Is there another step I’m missing here? Apart from Orbx global + open lc everything else is add on scenery including freemeshx so that should be it right?

This is just a repeat of something from another thread. I was getting CTDs every few minutes with the Maddog. I disabled Taccpack, and the CTDs stopped. I have no idea why. Outstanding aircraft by the way. Well worth the money. Just need to figure out how to get VNAV to work on descent.

Hello everyone, For some reason, in these airports im receiving 10fps max, whereas in other payware sceneries i am receiving around 50 FPS. They all are from FlyTampa, i have already listed a concern although didn't receive anything back as of yet. my PC specs are: Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-7700HQ @ 2.80GHz 2808 MHz 4 Cores 8 logical processors 16 GB RAM If by any chance, you can give me an idea of the best P3D settings to use, it will be greatly appreciated. I only need the client? I'm not sure it's worth it right now. everything is running well in 4.1

There seems to be no flight deck lighting, under autopilot. When I turn the lights on left of the pilots knee nothing happens. The only lighting seems to come from the overhead panel. Am I missing something?

My main flying is with FSL Concorde but that is predominantly 'serious' flying over long distance and generally over open ocean. For 'fun' flying I recently bought the Carenado Pilatus PC-12 and I enjoy that too. I'm now looking at a business jet for semi-serious flying around Europe and the US. I've read the various discussion about which jets are best but can't make up my mind which way to go. I don't fly on-line. For good looks the Carenado Phenom 300 with a G100 glass cockpit looks really nice. I know their reputation is for looks rather than flying accuracy but it does appeal. My main concern is about fps with that G1000 unit. I'm unsure if my GTX 1080 / i4…

I'm sure everyone knows about this but I thought it was soooo cool. The East Coast is having severe winds right now, so I figured it was a great time to go flying. You can imagine my surprise when landing the TREES were blowing in the wind!! Sorry I'd no idea this was in 4.2 and you can imagine the surprise!

I freely admit that I never bother with fuel calcs on my PMDG flights and just use the automated presets etc. Therefore I'm rather stumped with doing this properly with this bird and I cannot find anywhere how to use the Load Manager data to arrive at Fuel/Sched and ZFW in PERF INIT. Would be most grateful if someone could explain this. I really wish there was a tutorial walk through flight a la PMDG. Many thanks

Hi, I have a question regarding the PERF INIT page in the FMC. It is stated in the manual that either /A or /N shall be entered behind the fuel value- however it is not explained, what the /A or /N schedules are. The only thing I could find is a descend schedule called A or B, with A being a fuel conserving schedule and B the 'usual' one. Is the PERF INIT schedule refering to this one, or what is the magic behind it? Secondly, I would kindly ask if TrueGlass could be activated while RealLight may stay off. With my older GPU RL is quite hard on the frames, but I guess TG should be no problem, and it's a nice addition! Best, Matthias

P3D v4.2 Maddog version 103 FS2Crew enabled. In the FMC when you select the SID (In this case KDFW - AKUNA6) the sim freezes and eventually get the message that the sim has to close. You can select the runway but not the SID. Anyone else have this problem?

I bought mine from Flight1, but the only update seems to be from Aerosoft. I went to Aerosoft, & if I understood correctly I have to update from Flight1, but all I see there is the full download. So I'm confused now. Can anyone who got it from Flight1 sort it out for me? Thanks,

Hi, I could not find any reference to the values and units used in the generated file. Didn’t see any mention of it in Volume 1 chapter 1 as the brief manual suggests. Some is self explanatory all right, other values are more obscure in terms of nature and the units used. Could someone elaborate on that?

Just a joke :). But it does seem that noises outside the aircraft are very loud. In particular, in the air I have noticed that propeller driven aircraft as far as 5 miles away seem unnaturally loud. This effect seems more so than other aircraft I have installed. And taxiing aircraft on the tarmac are very, very loud. I run "environment" setting on Sound at about 10% and the cockpit and voice settings at maximum, engines about 50%. This is FSX. Anyone else notice that?

When I load the aircraft up at the gate, I notice that it starts much to far forward. Sometimes, my nose is in the terminal! Does anyone else have this issue, and are there any fixes? This happens at all airports with the Maddog, and not other aircraft.

The QNH in speed cards does not correspond with real one using ASP4. Is that normal?

Hi, This is my first post on the forum so if this is the wrong way to ask these sort of questions then please do let me know. When I try to load my P3D v4.1 it hangs on the splash screen permantely. But if I turn off my PC and the power-supply switch and wait a while, after turning it all back on it apears to load. I wouldnt know if this is a system issue or a P3D issue itself. If any more info regarding addons or more system specs let me know and I'll be happy to provide it to you all :) Specs: CPU: i7 7700K 16GB RAM GPU: AMD R9 380

I can't find a way to change the altitude selector knob from 1000 FPM to 100 FPM increments. I'm sure its something simple but I can't find it. Many thanks Best Regards John

I've seen varying opinions on using CPU affinity with v4. Some have said that because of new dynamic controls built in to P3D itself, manual affinity is no longer needed (I use ProcessLasso to assign CPU affinity rather than changing the .cfg affinity mask). Right now I am running v4 on a 4-processor system (don't laugh. It has actually been working VERY well, way better than FSX was on the same system). Based on the old rules of affinity that I had read, I made it so that P3D is set to use CPU's 1, 2, and 3 and all of my add-ons use CPU 0. So far so good. But, I was wondering if I should just remove the affinity altogether and let it do it's thing. What has been yo…

When i am running to take off on a runway, autobrakes ! autobrakes! There is alarming sounds over and over... I found that i didn't switch to the armed .. only rotary switch set to T.O What am i doing wrong for failing set autobrake switch armed? it's returned when i set armed switch Please help me.. I have no idea..and the alarming sound makes me mad..
