What is the conceptual difference between https://www.fsaerodata.com/ and http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html? To me, it looks like the two have the same purpose?

Hi, This is my first post on the forum so if this is the wrong way to ask these sort of questions then please do let me know. When I try to load my P3D v4.1 it hangs on the splash screen permantely. But if I turn off my PC and the power-supply switch and wait a while, after turning it all back on it apears to load. I wouldnt know if this is a system issue or a P3D issue itself. If any more info regarding addons or more system specs let me know and I'll be happy to provide it to you all :) Specs: CPU: i7 7700K 16GB RAM GPU: AMD R9 380

I tried turning on the weather radar by turning it on but none of the switches seem to work. I can turn the knobs but none of the buttons do anything. I get a hand pointer when I hover over them. I have ActiveSky set as my weather client in the load manager. Just seems like its not getting power.

I've flown the Maddog 10 times and with the simplified checklist I've gotten to the point were I haven't missed any steps. My last 5 flights have been flawless. One thing I have noticed was getting the Maddog to slow down below 250 speed. I have tried speed hold and FMS override. I even deploy the spoilers earlier than required and deployed slats. During my last two flights I just disconnect the AT and manually control the speed. I feel like I am missing something. What's the best way to use AT and slow it down?

I asked over at Orbx but...well. Has anyone installed this airport with just NA OLC, I have no wish to install the region. I Run Orbx Global/vector/ OLC NA & Euro. Thanks as this would be nice to do trips from KJAC to KDEN.

Good evening, just a quick question, is it possible in the MD to start the APU without additional GPU. I mean, Batterie master on, proper fuel pumps setting and APU master start. I tried it several times, APU starts, EGT and N rotation starting and than a shut down of the APU after prox 20 percent N rotation. Maybe in the real plane not possible, but specially on isolated airfields it should be working. May I do someting wrong? greetings Peter

Hello, I’m flying the Delta repaint, I have delta selected as my callsign and a flight number entered at the select aircraft screen, and ATC is referring to me as MDDG4. doesn’t appear anywhere in the aircraft.cfg file. thanks for any help.

Very welcome the old love of maddog !!! i had it 10 years ago and now it's same like goin back to those years ! thank you Leonardo's team I have prepa3d 4.2 , i have reinstalled the new maddog hotfix with following setup : 1- true glass active at 1024X1024 2-panel texture 4096X4096 3-dynamic lighting both active in prepar3d and ,addog loadmanager Overhead night lighting text are all tremendously blurrie !! even quite unreadable ! any ideas ?

Although the setup app has a measuremnt units option that can be set to LBS it appears that the FMS and aircraft fuel displays only work in KG. Am I missing something here?

After installation is asking me for a path this is the one I am using is this corrected? C:\User\Owner\Documents\Prepar3D V4 Add-ons Why I am asking is after restoration and downloading again and installing my engines are running the gages are dark and I can't click on any of the button or turn any of the knobs. Hey guys solar I have been only using cast and receiving on vehicle only internal and external vehicle i am wanting to tick all receive shadows ,and only cast terrain for time being ,as casting cloud shadows pops in and out. will there be any performance issues with only selecting all to receive cast internal and external vehicle and terrain? and also is the simobjects cast or receive been fixed? Where it has been known to cause stutters? my settings are moderate maintaining 30fps 2 titans 6gb in sli soon to get 1080ti asus vi extreme mobo 16gb Corsair 2400mhz ram ssd x 2 4 hdd i7 4790k at 4.7 …

Gentlemen, the release went relatively smoothly, with the great majority of customers experiencing no issue. Unfortunately a very small number of customers experienced bugs that rendered the Maddog unusable. I personally understand your frustration as I had gone through the same experience in the past with a very famous product; it took months before I could use it. Good news is, we have submitted a new build to our beta group with the following fixes: - Load Manager problems in certain Windows locations. - Stuck brakes in certain version of FSX. - We added the possibility to disable RealLight in P3D 4.1/4.2, and have a ‘FSX style’ panel lightning…

I am just wondering if there are any rumors out there of any updates to any good payware versions of KORD in 2018. I know FSdreamteam is planning on an update but I couldn't see much on their progress. Are there any other projects planned? It is a shame we don't have an up to date, quality O'Hare at this point.

I read somewhere that if the need for re-installing P3d were to be necessary, that you could save your ORBX file and transfer it into the P3d folder after the re-installation. Is that true? I say this because the only "painful" part of reinstalling the program (should something happen to make that necessary) is re-downloading all the ORBX stuff (Vector, Global, PNW, Rockies, Etc, Etc. Etc.). Something may have happened that may require a reinstallation of version 4.2. If I have to do it, I would like to be able to just transfer the whole ORBX file and not have to redownload all the ORBX sceneries that I have purchased. Stan

Question about failures. I have the default timers set, today not even close to the 1000h limit I got a DC EMER BUS OFF Annunciation while taxing. I went back to the apron and fixed it and departed. My question should I expect a failure to happen near the 1000h mark as it set on the options? Also is there a way to see which failures are active in the system?

This is kind of a geeky post. I'll admit, I haven't looked through the included manual that much, as I have the real-World AA manual. Unfortunately, I'll be unable to access the provided manuals for the next day. Anyways, I've been going insane trying to figure out which NAV system the Flythemaddogx comes with. Solely GPS, or GPS/AHRS? The only thing I can say for sure that it doesn't have is the IRS system. Anyways, in my AAL manuals, it looks like their fleet has a mix of everything. Hi everybody ! I just started using P3d V4 and i absolutley love it ! however i have some Trouble when it Comes to my Goflight MCP Pro. I searched everywhere but couldnt find an answer. Are the Project Opensky Planes using the Default FSX/P3d Autopilot Module ? Because somehow it didnt work for me with a 737-800 i downloaded. Hi all: A question on the Heading Select knob. There are two parts to this control. The larger knob is the heading select control. Rotating that control when the AP is in heading select mode causes the aircraft to turn to the selected heading. The inner knob controls the bank angle. There does not appear to be an "automatic" setting for the bank angle that would enable the AP to decide how much bank angle is needed for each turn. Is that correct and if so does the PF need to select bank angle continuously during the flight? Or does the AP do so automatically? Is there any speed restriction on bank angle? I don't see this discussed in the docs. Thanks

Hello Guys and Girls, Recently I upgraded to P3D Version 4.1. However, this is accompanied by some massive fps drops. They are in the VC and in the locked spot outside vieuw. They drop from 70/80+ to 7 and lower. I have an GTX1050, i7-4790 and 16Gig's of RAM. I've tried a full reinstall, also I've tried multiple PTA presets and all the sliders to the minimum settings.
