To help with the strange drop in FPS I turned my TrueLight resolution from Medium to Low. Doing this caused the back light text blurry and unreadable. Going back to medium fixed the issue. Is low suppose to be like this? Whats the point of the low setting if you cant read the gauges. I run my system texture at 2048. I'm not the only one to report this.

I'm getting unstable fonts for the digital displays on the VC of the MD-80. The font keeps changing when using Win10 and P3Dv4.1. I found the fonts folder in the Maddog folder and have installed each font individually, but so far the fonts keep changing and re-sizing. (Digital displays (radio panel) and FMC only), what is strange is that the proper fonts display, then revert to a different font when changing views. The proper font can appear on the F/O side yet wrong fonts are displayed on the Capt side simultaneously. Resizing the 2D panel can create this on the FMC, but mainly it's the VC affected.

About 18 months ago I built myself a killer rig, ready to handle all that P3D v3 could throw at it. Including the FSL A320. And boy was I chuffed with the result. Liquid smooth rates and stutter free in even the most demanding of sceneries and weather. I was lucky not to have too many OOMs, being careful not to push things too far. My only frustration was readability of displays in the VC but another investment last year in a 4K 28" monitor fixed that one. And it was beautiful. And then... 64bit happened. Hey guys and gals I am wondering why everybody uses "4xsparse grid super bla bla bla..." which is bringing my system to it's knees in dense cloud (ASN set to 10 layers). I tried today and now I am using just 8x supersampling with great image quality and without fps reduction in clouds (still 10 layers set in ASN). I've been having issues with my ch pro pedals. I've calibrated a bunch of times and the issue comes back. It seems as though the pedals at times will move on their own. Generally speaking it will be a left rudder deflection. During calibration I notice that the response times were slow to get back to neutral as well. Can anyone offer suggestions or could it be that I have a bad set of pedals? I fly primarily with fslabs320 but saw this issues with default planes. I run fsuipc in p3dv3 but not yet in v4 and the problem kept happening. I even tried different USB ports. Thoughts?

When p3d is initially started, Task Manager shows one instance of P3D running. After beginning a scenario, 2 instances show running. This odd behavior began with v4.1 (my first P3D install) and continues with v4.2. When exiting P3D via the exit pull down menu, first one instance stops, then several seconds later the second shows briefly on the monitor, at my previous scenario screen, then it also exits. Haven't found any similar behavior reported after several days of searching. Hi Folks, Man - my PC was having issues for a while - the big WIN10 Anniversary Patch has never been able to install itself - as it would always fail... Started troubleshootting on Friday night - thought it was a driver issue so I started installing some of the original drivers that came with my MOBO - the SATA one destroyed me - done - unrecoverable... Hello, Any advice please. Shortly after launching in Cold and Dark state, the cockpit windows go opaque and make the exterior scenery look white. I assume this is simulated misting? the airport is Skiathos in Greece so not exactly cold outside! I opened the two windows on the Pilot and first officer sides, but that doesn't solve the problem. Congratulations on such an amazing product. I’m using P3Dv4.2 and it runs extremely smoothly without any issues. I have the Pimax 4K headset and have the Cockpit resolution set to the highest. This old girl is really VR friendly and the true glass effect on the windows certainly adds to the realism. If you’re thinking about going VR then be prepared to be amazed. ICE

My P3Dv4 starts and then disappears. It shows running in Task Manager but the window cannot be found. I have tried cascading and then stacking windows but it does not show anywhere. Anyone have any idea. Is there some type of log file showing the problem. Thanks.

Hi everyone, I've been debating whether to purchase Captainsim's 767-300 for P3D v3. I use Windows 10 and after reading several previous threads, I've come to the conclusion that the Level-D 767 doesn't work particularly well on Windows 10. I've read that using the Estonia Migration Tool is the most popular method to install the CS 767 into P3D. Rather than spending an extra 12 euros on something that I'll only use once (this will be the only FSX product that I'll install), is there an alternative way to install it i.e. renaming my P3D.exe to fsx.exe and just running the installer normally? Or does this method lead to malfunctions and problems later on when in t…

I tested all the physical switches and made sure they work in Prosim737. I can see the movement in the Panels Window. As soon as I start up the simulator, the switches stop working when I see the panel. These switches are connected to a leo bodnar card. I have 2 of them. I read somewhere that you cant have multiple. When I disconnected one of them, and went thru the same process, the same issue. Having said that, is that a Prosim737 issue or a Simulator issue? Using Prepar3d V4, Prosim737 V2.

Hello guys, I have this problem ONLY with PMDG 737 and 777 after a fresh reisntall (Windows incl). When i try to turn left or right, the plane is stuck straight. The gear is turn coreclty, but the plane no. When i check the hydraulic screen, everethnig is ok. I use Rudder pedals from Saitek. I try to reinstall simconnect, delete FSUIPC ini but no luck Thank you

Hi, First thank you very much for a stunning aircraft. All I would like to do is start a topic on how you could improve on this Fantastic aircraft. 1) The white Nav flights on the wings, they look like the only thing you forgot to update, they look ok at some angles but really low res at other angles. 2) When you open the Cockpit Windows, there is no difference in sound. A2A aircraft and FSL, when you open a window you know about it, outside volume goes up it make the event of opening the window an event, engines sounds etc, nice when starting the engine etc. 3) Exterior Engines sounds are probably the only really disappointing thing about this a…

Hi: I wanted to let you know about a possible conflict. I installed the new Leonardo MD-80 in P3D Ver. 4.2, and it kept crashing to desktop after a few minutes. I have Chaseplane and VRS Tackpack installed. I read a message on this stating that removing the VRS module from the dll.mxl file solved the problem. I tried this and it worked; no crash. Just wanted to let you know. I don’t mind making the changes my dll.xml file, but its something you might want to look at in the future. Thanks for your great plane. 15 years ago today, as luck would have it...I finished and uploaded my 2nd repaint to Avsim (The 1st one lost to the hack of the site years ago, but still available elsewhere). It's hard to believe I've been painting this long...I still remember my 1st paint taking about 3 months to finish! It was an Alaska MD80 for FS2002 (the latest and greatest sim at the time). Maybe I should paint Alaska on this slightly updated version of the MD as a tribute to my career as a painter? :)

Hi all, can someone share experience of function P3D after repair instalation of Win10? I had a "infinite logo turning loop" during boot and I try to decide what kind of repair I should choose. I really dont want to reinstall whole simulator with all addons again, so I would like to try everything to avoid that. If I choose repair instalation = everything stays on its place, can I run P3D?
