hi all, The exec button led on the cdu/fmc is not lighting up after entering the perf init data, i have seen the tutorials and despite having followed them, the green exec led does not show up . most likely i am at fault here (missing a few steps somewhere maybe ?) any help appreciated ! When I hover the Mouse Pointer over switches & controls in the Cockpit, it turns into a 'hand' shape, indicating a 'live' control, but there is no descriptor text identifying the switch or control. Is this how it should be, or should I see wording? T45

Hi guys! I can complete a flight without issues but there's something that i dont know how to do: If you are in the middle of your flight, how do you divert to another destination? I dont know what to do on the FMC. I dont need a step by step (If you can do that, that's great) just pointers in the right direction. I can do that on the FSL A320 but not on this one. Thanks!

I have an understanding on how the LM works but does the LM have to be run first than closed or can I configure it while sim is running because the info is not sending to the aircraft. Also I have LBS configured so does the fuel totalizer show in KG or LBS in the cockpit?

Is there an alternative to SPADNext in order for two Saitek Radio Panels to function correctly in P3Dv4 with default and PMDG aircraft? Since many months I've had nothing, but issues with SPADNext. Sometimes one or both are shown as 'live' and operational within SPADNext, but what I end up with is that either one or both of the Saitek Radios will not come alive despite what SPADNext is showing me in. On rare occasions, both have worked. Sure as Avsim is the font of all flight sim knowledge, next time I launch, I have one (usually) or both not working. Pulling my hair out over this and I'm hoping that someone has a solution! I would be happy to hear if there are alte…

Eager to know your initial impressions and experiences. Immersive? Sounds good? And how are the FPS / smoothness? (of course, only interested if at Flightbeam KMSP at dusk, with overcast clouds, raining, and dynami lights all ablaze. Oh, and at 4K!) Looking forward to getting home this evening to give this one a whirl.

Does anybody else have the issue of zero flightdeck lighting? The only light that actually works seems to be the Flood Light!

Hello! Thank you for a brilliant aircraft! Will offsets be made available in the future, so one could bind a hardware controller or write LUA scripts in FSUIPC? I know there is a Event Command-function in the Load Manager, but doing this via FSUIPC is probably easier / more flexible, for us who don´t have space for a full size cockpit, and have to make amends wit a Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle Quad, and it´s limited buttons. An example of use case: APU Start / Shutdown: The Thrustmaster has only a on/off switch, but the switch in the plane have three positions. In LUA, one could program the On/Off hardware switch to, given that the script has not run before…

I am enjoying the Maddox...again...it is certainly one of the most sophisticated FS addons! I am having trouble with EzDok (cannot get or create outside views and zoom does not stick within each view - I did unselect "Enable built in 3D view select panel" in the Manager&Setup control panel). And with the ground power I cannot get rid of it once APU is running. I get good fps. Any suggestions? Thanks

Good day, Yesterday i was trying to setup the Vrinsight CDU via keywords. I did it fine with Right and Left lines selectors and Functions but i can't do it with the Alphanumeric keys. With the FMS Functions i used from 0 to 15 in the command parameter, but what should i use to receive a letter or number with FMS_Alpha?

Does the VC have pop-outs for the speed, fmc, etc.?

I've installed the aircraft as per recommended technique and now the load manager does not save the cfg properly and no matter what I do, sim does not load saved configuration. Please delete, I made a mistake :P

In the aircraft selection screen, maximum seating is listed at 158 (C14, Y144), but in the load manager, stations A and B are both listed at a maximum of 72, which gives a total of 148 - pretty low for a MD-80. I'm just wondering because I set my PFPX profiles at a capacity of 158 as per the aircraft information screen, but obviously wasn't able to enter that into the load manager.

Hello! Is there a way to preserve the sim sound of the plane while we are off focus from P3Dv4? You know, for example going to make alt+tab to checkout some charts. I know this plane has a quiet cockpit, but I wish not soooo quiet! haha. If there is no way, would you like to consider to include that feature in future. It is for me important to preserve the inmersion. Thanks!

hi I have a problem with this airport SKTU, which only appears only the track on the water but the other terrain is under water. I consider myself to be a competent virtual Boeing and Airbus pilot, even a half competent virtual Q400 pilot on a good day, but boy does this aircraft make me feel dumb! In a good way that is...this is so different I think I’m going to have a blast figuring it out. During my first attempt to start from cold and dark tonight i spent a long time just trying to figure out where half the switches were. You don’t realize how common even very different Boeings are until you try to apply that knowledge/approach to an MD82. Hi! First of all congratulations on a very good release! I enjoy it very much already! I am just curious that I can`t use FLEX Takeoff, that means derating th engines for takeoff.. When I select TO/FLEX it stands NO MODE in red below it, so how can I activate that mode so I can use FLEX takeoff? Since I am using topcat to calculate takeoffspeeds and takeoff performance, so how should I do it to activate the TO/FLEX option.. Because normally all airlines derating the engines for takeoff to save them, and I do the same.. So look forward to your reply :-)

The aft staircase on the plane wont close in the menu. Any idea?

I run P3D v2.5, that aside.. i've begun the windows 10 adventure.. and so far, one thing is different with v10 than v8 at least for me.. it seems that usb peripherals are keeping the lcds from going to sleep.. in particular i've narrowed it down to the CH Products yoke.. Unplug and all is fine.. did the test several times.. its going through a usb hub then into one of the motherboard plugs in the rear... I do have the ch manager installed as well.. that didnt seem to help.. has anyone else ran into this? Thanks

Hello, boys and girls! I have P3D V2 and have done for quite some time. I had it on my desktop, but now that it is sold, i have installed it on my brand new laptop. This is no slouch, MSI GS70 Stealth Pro with an i7 4700hq, 16GB RAM and a GTX 870m 3GB. FSX sees the Nvidia GPU clear as day, however P3D will only see the Intel Integrated graphics! Here is a picture to illustrate my point: I want to go with P3D full time as FSX is not the most stable program out there, and P3D works for me consistently well. Any suggestions?

I miss the eaglesoft SR-22 turbo in P3Dv4. Is the Carenado version good? Has anyone gotten the ESDG plane to work in P3Dv4? Any rumors of an upgrade in the works? TIA!

I've just looked on the simMarket sales site for the requirements and it quotes Windows 7, will this bird work on FSX on Windows 10? I think it looks fantastic, I've been a Leonardo Maddog Fan for ages, in the RW it was always my favorite A/C, the most sensible design ever!! mog
