I'm currently running 4.1 with no complaints (aside from ESENT, but that's another story). I use Rift some of the time for takeoff/landing. Addons are primarily comprised of v4 compatible items such as FTX, a few ORBX airports, FlyTampa, and ASky. I have UTII installed and working also. My general question is with regard to users' experience in migrating to v4.2, updating the client and/or content, or going for a full purge and reinstall of P3d and all add-ons (I have quite a few but not yet so many that I would rule out reinstalling them to be a ground-up "clean" state). Are some of the bugs of which I've read impacted by update vs full reinstall, etc? Better …

I like to fly to different airports all the time in USA and Europe, for my VA. Sometimes I get to an airport, where the default scenery is really bad, like for instance where I just landed at LIRP in Italy. What I usually do then is to do a Google search on that Airport scenery, for FSX or P3D, and many times the scenery I find is designed by a person named Ray Smith. I would just like to comment on the quality of his Airport scenery, they are excellent . Usually for P3D, he always says that they are for FSX only, and I that is because the taxiways use reverse markings for FSX and P3D. So if you install his scenery in P3D, many times the taxiways are covered in grass or …

Has this been fixed yet in v4.2? (I did a search in both the AVSIM forum here and the LM forum, but did not find a definitive answer in the posts I found. So not sure if it is still an issue or not.)

In p3d v4.1 I am trying to use either VATSIM or utLive. Right now I want to remove all AI traffic, but I get mostly quite a bit of GA flying around. I moved all my bgl files, except ships into a subdirectory off G:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Scenery\World\scenery and I still see aircraft flying around. utLive shows no aircraft in the status board. I have AI traffic set to 0 for airlines and GA. Ships are set to 34%. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Is there any way to preview liveries in *.ptp files? Maybe there's some editor, which I can use to open PTP file and see how it looks before install?

Hi there. I have a pretty well working system for P3D V4 with acceptable framerates (even in the Heavy Irons and over populated areas), with one big problem: I tend to lose autogen during the flight. It seems that eveything gets loaded quite fast, including textures (no blurries at all), but the loading of autogen is lagging to a point where I fly my approaches without it. My settings aren't over the top, as I have nice framerates. Has anyone ever had this problem as well, and how did you solve it? Thanks for your help

Hi What are my doing wrong? I'm planning mine flight in the load manager. Start P3dV4.2 with a default plane. Then I load the Maddog, and transfer the payload and fuel quantity to the sim. I load the correct fuel quantity for a short while and the go back to full fuel in all tanks and I can't adjust the fuel quantity in the maddog fuel manu. I have tried to reinstall and it dosnet mater which version I'n using. I have done several flight before this happend. What are I missing? Best Regards Mikael Olsson

Hi guys! Is anybody here using WF Scenery Beijing? Simmarket sent me a mail today that a update is available. It's a full new build and hence a new install is necessary. So after running through the install screen I get stuck at the window where I have to enter the authorization key. The installer is simply not accepting my key. At the first run I tried my authorization key I got during my first install back in January. With no success I restarted the installer and now used the register function in the browser window to generate a new authorization key. I am using ActiveSky for P3Dv4.2, and recently installed ENVTEX/ENVSHADE. Since then, every time I fly (altitude does not change this condition), all I see is Haze, no clouds, just haze. I did not have this prior to ENVSHADE, I can use some guidance on how to solve this issue. Thank you

I have noticed the break temperature indicator never reads above "0". Even after heavy breaking upon landing and selecting each of the four breaks, they all read "0". The test feature does work however. Is anyone else seeing this issue or has this feature not yet been activated?

Hi. Although I do not control the hexadecimal language, I have finally modified a code with "hexeditor" software from the ai_player.dll file. Following the instructions for the last modified version, it worked. Here I attach the new file, with which it is achieved that the airplanes do not disappear at 5 minutes, but at 17. On the other hand, I'm still investigating how to modify the code to be able to accelerate the planes a bit more in their taxispeed. What is the current state of Pilot2ATC? I'm kinda tired of P-ATC/X and PF3 button communications, so I'd like to have more interaction. I used to like VOXATC in the past, but reports about its current problems with reading ADD-ON sceneries put me off. How about Pilot2ATC? It seems to have more active developer's support and updates. I like what I've seen about P2A on youtube so far. Which one to buy? And they are not cheap. What are the main problems in both now? Mostly I fly tube liners. Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

I'm curious what people think. I have MCE and have had some issues with it and I'm curious what the opinion is on how fs2crew compares. Obviously MCE is the more cost effective, but is there value in the specialized product in few2crew?

Hi Guys, I finally made the jump into P3D V3 and im super excited to fly the heavies. Since i reside in Singapore, i purchased the Imagine Sim Wsss scenery but im unable to install it. I dun see any buildings or anything except the runways. Does anyone face the similar issues and how do you rectify it please. Any feedback and guidance is very much appreciated. Regards

I can usually figure out the tweaks necessary to make my sim work well, but getting logo lights to stay ALWAYS ON for the FSPXAI 777 models is driving me crazy. I've read and read the instructions a hundred times and have tried to follow them to the letter. But no matter what I try, I can't get the logo lights to stay on at night (while aircraft sitting at gate). Any guidance would be AWESOME! Thanks, SGFIntl

Hello All - I am experiencing CTD in Prepar3d which is specific when flying in the New York City area. I have a couple of questions to ascertain if anyone else has had this issue. I use ORBX, Megascenery, NY Airports V.2, and Imaginesim KLGA. Are these products compatible with each other? If someone knows of an incompatibility, it would be a great help to let me know which product is known not to get along with the other, so I can eliminate the problem. Sometimes I do not get the CTD when flying, but when closing P3D I will get the error box as the sim shuts down. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Kevin MacDonald
