Hi, I am using V4.2 on Windows 10 64 bit. When I start P3D - it appears to load OK - I have the plane on the runway - and then I keep getting a message box about every 5 seconds telling me that it is loading land, sea and air traffic. I uninstalled all components of P3D V4.2 and then re-installed and the same issue continues - has anyone any thoughts?

Hi I am wondering if anyone else has purchased the Pilots / Latinwings Almeria scenery and installed it into Prepar3d V4.2 and had problems with the scenery library. My problem is, after purchasing this scenery and extracting it then installing it as instructed most of my scenery library went missing. The scenery appeared to install all Ok and even looked great when testing it. However if I selected my scenery library to see where it was listed I had the following message flag up: Unable to open C:\Programdata\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3dv4\scenery.cfg for reading. Only one page was listed in my library when there are about 4, all my ORBX files were gone and if I selected an …

I purchased ENVSHADE but now I see there is ENVTEX. How do these 2 products differ from each other. I read about these products from their website, but I am still unclear. If someone can provide a simple explanation or example I would be most appreciative. Thank you Rob

I'm planning to build a PC with around $1500 budget. I've got my eyes on the new coffee lake i7s for my CPU. However, I'm seeng that there's around $40-50 difference between the 8700k and the 8700 (non-k version). Is it really worth spending that extra 50 for overclocking capability? Does overclocking really have a unanimous gain in perfomance in P3D? Please help.

Hi Recently installed P3d v3 and have come across a problem. When I switch to another program, say ASN or something P3d seems to freeze. It can be fixed by resetting the flight and I can proceed as I was but the minute I click on another application it does it again. Anyone else having this issue or know why it does and if there is a fix? Cheers John

Hello All, I have just done an uninstall of P3Dv4. 0 and updated to P3Dv4 2.1. In doing so I lost all my ORBX scenery, which I guess was expected. I re downloaded FTX Central and I notice that it is annotated as XPLane 11. the only area covered is, obviously, North America. As I do not fly in the Americas and I want to reinstall my P3Dv4 sceneries, having access to Xplane 11 and North American cagegory oonly is about as useful as udders on a boar pig. Can somebody please tell me how to get into, re download and re install my Australian sceneries and Airports. Guys, Did anybody had the same experience? When you program the FMC in quite a hurry, meaning programming it in a fast workflow.... that this causes P3Dv4.1 to crash? I had it three times know at LIRN programming the same flight to LIPE still on the ground, it happens after setting up the Descent winds and programming the arrival runway (while on ground and also in the air). I have just checked after a couple of hours messing with UTL I'm having 3002 *.utp files in Flight Plans, and 3534 *.pln files in Flight Simulator folder Users/User_Name/AppData/Roaming/Flight One Software/utLive/Flight Plans/ Doesn't this UTL file overflow grind my SSD? Is it possible to move that folder to a different location on my HDD for example? How do you manage these 2 folders? Do I need to clean up these folders before they blow up my OS SSD? Thanks,

Hello, I recentley upgraded to P3D V4.2, am having some problems though. My textures seem to not load. I was on a test flight from EGCC-LEBL and i got bored of the day time so i changed it to "dusk". Since then the textures have not been loading. This is my second time having this problem. I have deleted the shaders folder but that seeme'd to mess it up so i recoverd it from the recycle bin. I have also deleted the P3D.CFG But still. If I am cruising along using mach or speed hold mode with the Autothrottle system engaged, and I wish to descend using IAS mode with AT still engaged, what should be done to get the AT to get it to switch to some sort of idle mode? Right now, it seems like it stays at its current setting after I have engaged the IAS descend mode. If I move the (CH Yoke) throttle axis all the way down, the AT goes to idle for the descent. Is that normally how the pilot commands the AT to go to idle to allow an IAS descent? Thanks!

Hi Another frustrating issue has cropped up. I no longer have any sound or text in the atc window in any aircraft. The pilot voices box is empty. I haven't touched or done anything since I played 2 days ago. Bizarre. An Ideas please?

I am having a lot of problems with gate alignments at different airports. The most recent is KSEA. I have recently moved to P3D v4.2 from FS9 and do have some understanding of flight simming. I do see that there is also a lot of changes. Is there any one place, or two, where the AFCAD files are placed in P3D? It seems that there are many programs that are creating their own AFCAD files for any given airport. FTX Vector, UT Live, SODE, FSDT GSX etc. Is there any program that can identify where all of the AFCAD files have been placed? Thank you for any advice or help. Ryan

Hi all, I have a problem where by the flood lights in the FSL A320X vanish depending on the angle I'm viewing (see video below). Also the same thing happens with the taxi lights on PMDG's 777. Does anyone have an idea of how to solve or further diagnose?

So I've only just noticed this issue with Fly Tampa CYYZ. The ground texures are super blurry but the taxiway signs and markings are all still great quality. The runway is also the default runway but with an almost overlay of the Fly tampa runway markings - there is the exact same issue with the apron aswell. Every other Fly Tampa product of mine is perfectly fine and has no issues. UTLive worked perfectly for three months, (I never opened the config tool after the initial install) but since last Sunday, my AI traffic vanished from P3Dv4.2, here is what I see: When starting P3Dv4.2 UTL executes correctly (splash screen visible). Regardless of which airport I select, there is only ONE aircraft on the tarmac. This is corroborated by the status board indicating ONE scheduled Departure and several arrivals. If I wait a few seconds, suddenly plenty of aircraft will populate the gates and SODE reacts by extending the gates. But that lasts a second or so, all aircraft vanish instantly together. Hi all:I have a p3d 4.1 on a projector displayed on an actual projector screen. While flying, the display always has a washed out look, like to much white, very little contrast. Going into nvidia settings, while p3d is running I select desktop color correction and the display looks great, depending on what adjustments i use. going back into p3d the display looks fine, until I select full screen. then it goes back to the washed out look. toggling between full screen and window screen, it remains washed out looking. back to nvidia, and moving the contrast slide just a tiny bit, and p3d looks great again, until I go to full screen mode, then it goes back to washed out again.…

Any way to use this with P3Dv4? I installed to the root directory of P3Dv4, but could not find any .gau files for A318/319. Is there a way to work this? Thanks! J. Preston
