What do I put into the fuel sched entry? What do /x letters mean? Is there a manual I can read to find this stuff? I’ve combed the manuals several times and have no ideas. Next, why is the interior night lighting so dim? Is there a fix for it? when I fly the maddog, most of the time it turns off my default ATC. Why? I can switch to another plane and it works fine and sometimes the maddog and default ATC work fine. Did I hit a button? thanks guys

I have not updated my p3d to v4.2 because i always get lag spikes. On p3d v4.1 i get a solid 50 frames without any lag but on p3d v4.2 it stops and starts when i move. my graphics card is a GTX 1060 6GB

I've had a few awesome flights this week and I just had to post this. I've had the original Ezdok for many years and enjoyed it, though I have to admit I didn't understand how to get the effects exactly right. I now have version 2.6, and as before it's pretty complicated and takes a lot of time to get your settings matched to your specific taste. So that's the bad news. Please How can I add gates number in the sim . Iam using P3DV4?

I have purchased fsaerodata and installed latest airac data 1804. fsaerodata says that it updates the approaches and installs new approaches in P3D however I see no new approaches in the ATC pull down menu. What is up with that? Any suggestions?

Greetings All, Can ORBX scenery packages be installed on an HDD (in my case SSD) other than in the FSX folder? And/or, can just the Scenery folder(s) be moved to an SSD drive (a drive different than the FSX installation) without having to reinstall everything? Thanks in advance!

Hello As many of you know Vatsim CTP is coming up on us fast. Am having trouble that will eliminate me to fly on the day. They are Bluries and taxing. Bluries: Whilst climbing/crusing the ground starts to become very disgusting that i would have to change the time, change scenery settings etc to make it look nice again but after 5-10mins it would like the same all disgusting (a think that happens often). Taxing: FSX, P3D V3 where fine when i used to taxi with autorudder for some reason any aircraft i try and use and taxi to the runway or to gate its so hard. Not sure if I have the correct spelling for the "Coault" I had several of these sceneries many years ago and had problems to the extent I removed them...More than likely my problem only...not intending to reflect on the products. Considering reinstalling as computers, O/S, 64 bit P3d etc have come a long way. My question is..... are people finding this system (Coault) trouble free for install, managing etc of these products? i recall they were very nicely put together and would like to make use of them again. Do they work fine with 4.2 or should I wait for the upcoming 4.3 to reinstall? Many thanks. Dave

Good day, I installed UTL into my P3D. Upon loading into a new flight I see all AI planes parked at the gate, which is fine. Although after testing, I started to notice that I am not seeing AI taxi and waiting for takeoff clearance as I used to see in MyTraffic before. When planes land I started noticing them vanish upon touchdown. Just not enough traffic generating and seems that planes are always grounded every time I start a new flight. Is there a fix to this? I did reach out to the support team at UTL as well. If anyone here would know a fix to this, please let me know. I would like to see some action at my airports. BTW I forgot to mention. Hello I have installed UTL and am using P3DV4. After installing and configuring UTL, I ran the Lorby Prepar3D V4 Addon Organizer to check my file structure. (http://www.lorby-si.com/downloads.html) The software displayed an error with the UTL P3D add-on.xml file Does anyone know what the issue may be ? I tried to upload an attachment of the screen grab, but it seems this is not possible. hello, my sim have lost all VASI, taxiline lights, and strobelights from all AI´s i can not see this lights on Addons, or on standard airports also no strobes on standard AI. but autogenlights and streetlights are ok. also my planes have all lights ok. is there a chance to repair this? so i have to repair content, or client to fix this? thank you for help. thomas

Hey guys so I have recently installed the new Nvidia 391.35 driver and have noticed that P3d is not shutting down completely it is still runnning in thou not visible in task manager. ive tried reinstalling driver and issue still remains. i haven’t added any add ons any help is appreciated thanks mike

Running P3D v 3.4. I also have Plan G 3.2.1 installed and my airplane locations tracks great on map in Plan G. I am attempting to connect my P3D to Avare on my Android tablet. I have the Avare External I/O Plugin installed, and have no problem using it to connect to a real ADS-B receiver via wifi. I have a registered version of FSUIPC installed on P3D. I can not get the GPS data to feed to the tablet. Both the tablet and the PC are on the same network. The PC is wired to the network and the tablet is on Google wifi router connected to the same switch. I am wondering if the fact that the PC is on the wired network if the connection is not being made through the wifi router…

Hi, My Specs are i7 7700k / 16GB 3200 Ram / GTX 1080 Question 1 Can anyone comment on the performance impact of the flight1 GTN 750? I am flying AntsAirplane's Eaglet to use with the GTN 750. Currently I am capable of flying the Carenado DA42 glass cockpit smoothly...if that's any type of reference point. Also I see that we can't load P3D flight plans into the GTN 750. How does Active Sky P4 know what weather to load if a P3D flight plan is not loaded?

Hi All, I am using P3d v4.2 and I've come across a problem. I load an aircraft like PMDG 737ngx at an airport like Orbx KSAN....let everything load up....then set the panel state to say SHORT on the ngx and let that initialize. Then I activate Active Sky for P3d V4, using ASCA with full dynamics....if I then load the flight plan into Active Sky and Active Sky shows active precipitation at the departure airport (either rain or snow).....P3D will then shutdown without any error message .....just CTD. I have detailed precipitation and windshield effects both checked in the P3d options menu. I have also tried loading Active Sky first, before launching P3d v4.2 a…

I'm having issues with a short "flash" just after changing views in prepar3d V2.4, this flash means that my volumetric fog is briefly switched off and then on again. This is only noticeable when I have volumetric fog enabled and some fog is present. However I also get a very short hardly noticeable bright flash in my cockpit displays but this does not annoy me. After changing view or when selecting the same view twice, the volumetric fog is "switched off" for I guess less than half a second and then switches back on again. I tried to search the internet for a solution but haven't found anyone with the same problem. Any suggestions how to get rid of this? I just did a …

Hi, I had this for the 2nd time in a week now, with the Q400. At some point during flight, the P3D Sound Subsystem Crashes: The current sound is being played back ad infinitum. The first time I didn't even notice until landing. I can no longer toggle sound on/off any more. I no longer hear switches, nor changes in engine/propeller sound. The checkbox checks and unchecks, but the current sound just keeps playing. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Any tips how I could find out? Thanks, Felix

Hope someone can help me I just moved from the three monitor business to a one TV screen which is much better after just installing it. My question if anyone using the same what are the tweaks and resolutions I should be using for better performance. I did not experience any issues and I have been flying for two day except my PMDG front console is so big I have to keep zooming out a lot to view different areas like MCDU, radios ...etc Is there any way to minimize the view without compromising on the font size I can now ready every gadget easily even without glasses :) I appreciate the help. Can someone confirm what weather conditions are modeled in P3d when using Active Sky? I know obviously wind, turbulence, clouds, storms are in the sim, but I never quite knew if rain caused wet runways, snow causing slick runways, etc.. How about icing in clouds? I have GSX and know that in certain situations they will suggest de-icing fluid, but I wasn't sure if that was because icing actually existed in the sim or if it was just for fun. So I guess my question is, what weather conditions effect the flight modeling in the sim? Or, is there something that you can add to the sim to get different conditions?

I just updated my video card from a GTX 960 to a MSI GTX 1080. I did this hoping to improve performance is high density ares like LAX and SFO. I am actually getter more stutters and less FPS than I did with the GTX 960 at the same graphic settings. Any advice would be appreciated. Greg
