Team Using P3DV41, when I tune KSFO Atis, the magvar applied is + to the metar's true wind ..... though the wind in textinfo box is correct ( - East applied). I've checked magvar / afcads (stock & payware) / other airports I use (a dozen or so) & all are applying correct magvar ..... I can't spot the problem. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Can I install p3d on two different drives on the same system. One install on a hard drive, and one install on an SSD. That way, I can have one install with all of the ORBX regions, and one install with just OpenLC NA. Bill

I really really hate this issue.. I have tried every solution there is out there but it still persists. I know it's going to be fixed in 4.3 but who knows when that will be released is there any solution that works!???

After installing P3D v4.1 I have a need to clear some space on my C drive. It's slowing down my computer and making it unusable for some applications, including flight sim. I've found lots of disk space on C occupied by unnecessary files that I'm deleting, but I've found a bunch of folders with about 40GB or so of files with names like Scene4.cab. They're in folders here: c:\program data\package cache\(C953A291-C0D5-414E-8211-778D5E53D73Ajv4.1.7.22841 Can I safely delete those? They look like temporary files to me. (And I admit I dont know if they are P3D files - they might well be from something else I've installed. ) Cheers …

Haven't played in a while but skyforce had just come out before I stopped playing. I was wondering if it is "better" than active sky. There was lots of debating back and forth but it has quieted down. I am deciding whether to buy it or not. Thank you so much.

This is a new issue for me. I have done the following: - Checked that it works in Windows Game Controller Settings - Checked that it works in X-Plane 11 I have it programmed as View (Pan) in P3D v4.2. No response. I have disabled controllers in the sim, and set it up using FSUIPC for the same function... no response. I do seem to be able to assign it key presses, such as zoom in/out and those work. I was using a Saitek X52 system, but currently have no other controls plugged in save for the CH Products Rudder Pedals.

I currently run a 4K Sony TV @ 30hz. I run my Windows scale at 150 so its easier to read text in windows but it doesn't effect P3D VC except for the text messages in red like FPS, LAT/LONG, etc. Does running 150 scale case a performance hit? I read mixed messages that say we should leave it at 100%.

Hi. I installed FT Boston and Aerosoft Boston City X Scenery into p3d4 and after doing the Aerosoft scenery the Boston airport has bad elevation errors now. There is hill on runway. I should have just left the FT Boston alone (was working ok) but was advised to try Aerosoft Boston City for improved frames. I have uninstalled everything at Boston but the problem remains with the default. I reinstalled FT Boston and I load up in a ditch, nothing improves. I have tried a repair of P3D, nothing changes. Any advice on getting this thing back to normal at least in Boston?

Before I do something that I will regret later, can someone tell me if the Orbx Northern and Southern California sceneries will "get along" with the add-on airports such as Latin VFR KSAN, FSDT's KLAX, and FlightBeams, KSFO? Thanks, Kevin MacDonald

Can the 2006&2008 reprints for the maddog be used in P3D? I’m trying to find some TWA and Ozark paints to fly and that’s all I can find for Now. Not sure if hey are just lower quality, or if they are completely unusable?

Hi there I found that there are no cruise altitude level at FMC leg it shows that "------" not a specific FL300 ...etc I checked i already input the CRZ ALT FL300 I try to reinstall fly the maddog X for p3d v4.2 but it is still going on What's wrong? Please help me

I am looking to add a corporate jet to my fleet but a recent search of the forum revealed that most responses were not recent. Hoping something has changed. I searched the Carenado support forums and even their info was months old. It does not have to be PMDG quality...since there are none, but I would like the systems to allow me to fly shorter scenic routes. My experience with Carenado Hawker has not been good but I am hoping for a better outcome with time, improvements and native to P3Dv4. I've searched, but can't find this answer - I may not be searching for the right thing because I would assume this info is out there if it is possible to do. I have P3d V4.2 w/ several add-ons. Today I loaded a PTA file and then began to load Reshade - something happened and now P3d won't open/load. Sits forever. I'm sure something is corrupted somewhere. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the Client and Content - about to uninstall/reinstall Scenery, but I'm not expecting any change. I also have deleted the P3d Config File so it could reload. Hi, Its bin a while since a tried to managed this aircraft and was doing some test flights around EKCH . I remember a previous flight in real life where the pilots after takeoff postioned the Engine Sync to N1. I cant recall why but i also did this in the sim. During my descent i accidently switched the EngineSync button to N2 before setting it to off and i heard this "pling" as you hear when you couple the AC generator on (GPU like) Frome the real life i dont recall the Engine had all the options that comes with this sim (regarding to engine SYNC options (N1,N2 etc) Why did the move of Engine Sync to N2 trick the LEFT GEN to off ? and what is t…

I've been combing the forums looking for a post I read some time ago by a user who did just this- merged the NXGN airport for NTAA with Aerosoft's Tahiti X. The NXGN airport is by far a closer representation of the airport, but the surrounding area and runway landclass are, frankly, appalling (ie the zero elevation change between ocean and land). Has anyone done a similar merge that would be willing to post steps to recreate it? Thanks.

Completed a few 4 to 6 hour flights with PDMG 747 previously after purchasing the program with no problems but lately system it's being freezing in different spots (after pushback, prior to Taxi to runway, after take off towards reaching cruise altitude a few times). Have change settings prior restarting the program and problem have occurred repeatedly. Only message that appears on screen (PD3V4 Not responding) on top of screen visible as it screen becomes frozen, turns whitish colored, and finally shuts down. I'm having a very strange issue, the turning radius of all aircraft in P3D is next to zero while taxiing. I can see the nose wheel is turning, but the aircraft is not - or very little. Not like it should, or used to. This is a new problem and is happening with PMDG, Aerosoft, Maddogx, and default aircraft. I have tried different airports. I'm running P3D v4.2. Everything else seems to work as normal, completely baffled.

I need a quick help my Saitek Radio when I dial a frequency and change the radlio frequency from stdby to active it moves and return back in a second ,but if I use my mouse and push the change in the plan radio it changes and stay correct I am sure it is an easy fix but I tried as I am using Spad.next every knob works with the exception of moving the frequency from stdby to active and keep it there . It is used for Cessna 182 and I am using prepar3d v4 and spad.next for all my Saitek equipments . many thanks Amr guindy

Can someone please help me with the following problem I am experiencing in P3D v4.2. I am flying a PMDG a/c with Active Sky active and after a sertain period (maybe 10 minutes or so) the view automatically changes from the inside (flightdeck) view to an outside view. If I am fast enough with my mouse it will return to the inside view but in the event I am not the outside view will remain and I have no clue (other then resetting P3D) how to correct it. Tosay I had to terminate my flight in Vatsim because of the aforementioned. Apreciate any help I can get. kind regrads Dirk
