I purchased the GTN 750/650 and put one in the Xtreme Prototypes LJ. I would like to put the other in the Carenado Hawker. Does the panel config have to be edited to put it into the panel? If so, is that config entry and instructions available somewhere? Thanks in advance. Ken

Purchased it a couple hours ago. Seems it is installing correctly into my P3Dv4.2. An "encoding check" using Lorby's tool says all .xml files are fine. But I'm having an interesting issue with the airport. Did searches both here and the Aerosoft support forums and didn't see this anywhere, so thought I'd ask here first 'cos the Aerosoft forum seems kinda goofy to me as far as finding support for the PANC airport. So...... The airport loads fine in P3Dv4.2. I can take off and fly all over the scenery with no problems whatsoever. But if my current "Time and Season" in P3Dv4.2 is "Spring/Day", if I go to the "overhead" view of the scenery (Top Down I think it is c…

Running v4.2.21 P3d, updated driver for yoke, and the only thing that works is the yoke itself. None of the switches work, they are programmed in Madcatz sft that comes with it. I did check for conflicts in p3d and removed some. miss my Hat switch. This all worked in STEAM addition of FSX. Has anyone had this problem, or have any ideas ? Thanks for reading .....

Anyone using this add on? I purchased Pro ATC X and I'm not fan. Somehow it kept crashing with my Aerosoft CRJ. Also looking to use headset and have been looking at videos of MCE and liking the features. So far it's good to know that it is compatible with the CRJ 700/900 and I like how the ATC sounds realistic. Having a FO to assist with checklists, flaps, radio nav, etc. What headset would you recommend to get for this add on? And is it easy to setup / install running v4?

Hello, Yesterday i had reinstalled Windows 10 as i kept blue screening. I had install P3D V4 and before i had launched the sim i had only installed SimConnect. I had gone into the sim and spawned myself at EGCC and left everything default. i had used my hatswitch to move around and there was alot of white flickers everytime i had moved around. I tested at night aswell and the same thing had happen but it was in black. I had then started going through all my settings disabling everything and found out it was HDR that was doing it. I had thought shaders were broken at firstso i had reinstalled the P3D Client. Same thing was happening so i had installed PTA and install…

Dear all, Amazing plane but with one annoying issue which is the cockpit light, at the previous version, the lights that worked at the cockpit was the DOM light and instruments light no flood or panel lights, since I downloaded the last version yesterday the cockpit is pitch black except with the instrument lights which is not dimmable anymore like it used to? So this is my system specs. Win10 Pro 32GB ram MSI 1080 Prepar3d V4.2 So today i booted up P3D had a fly and quit the game. About 2 hrs later my friend upgraded his Video card exact model as i have and i asked him if i could use it for SLi. So i put the card in tried a few benchmarks on other games then i tried P3d. The sim refuses to load. It starts up chase plane begins. The i get a notification chaseplane has disconnected. P3d just refuses to start. I have deleted moved the p3d.cfg to no avail. Why is this happening? Whats the cause? Regards Mike

Yesterday I landed on 28R at KSFO and there was grass on the runways. I have all the Orbx scenery for that area. I ran FTX Global Vector from FTX Central P3DV4. Still grass on runways. What am I missing? Thank You Bill McCracken Windows 10 P3D 412

Hi, First of all my congratulations to the team who made this wonderful software!It is a rare piece of perfection.I simply adore the lines of the DC9/MD80/717. I flew the F1 DC-9 classic and the TFDI 717 and they are really good.But in the DC-9 there is no FMC and it is hard to do the more modern flights.The 717,on the other hand,is all glass,and I miss the old school panel.So the Maddog is the perfect compromise.The flight model is amazing,as is the internal lighting.. Hi guys, I decided to take a deep breath and make the step to p3d v4. Im a fs9 user for years and I made the simulator work perfectly. The last period I found out that more and more addons are not compatible with fs9. A lot of developers make very beautiful sceneries for p3d. For me that is something difficult because I spend a lot of effort, time and money in fs9. My system is a i7 with a GTX970 and was two years ago a really fast machine. My Logitech/Saitek Pro system with a second Quadrant has gone haywire in this sim. For example: The throttle works perfectly in the Carenado PC-12, Alabeo Waco. It does not work at all in the A2A J3. With Majestic q400 the left throttle has only three positions: full idle, mid range, and full power. Right throttle works perfectly. Other problems include mixture, propeller thrust. In P3d v3.2 (.3?,.4?) All functions work as they should in every plane. I have not a clue about what to try next. So far FSUIPC, in sim calibration, reinstalling p3d v4 client, uninstalling/reinstalling all USB connections have not helped. Can anyone help me with this? Windows…

I am curious what display resolutions most people are using in P3d and within your display manager that gives the best combination of performance and visuals. What pc specs do you have while using these settings? I am using a 1440p Quad LED display that is curved and 34" and I'm trying to get the best of both worlds. My GPU is a 1060 Thanks! I am trying to install all my scenery the "proper" way using the add-on method so I can avoid reinstalling 25 airports everytime I update P3D or more likely reinstall 25 airports after I mess up my P3D install tinkering with things. Right now I have a client PC where I have a "fake" P3Dv4 install. Meaning I have a folder and a text file I named Prepar3d.exe. This allows me to see where and what they install in the main P3D folder. I have airports from the usual suspects. I been been trying out Orbx lights and Black Mable lights. one of the common issues I see is how orange and awful my lights look in the distance. In some areas it looks like orange lava flows until I get into range. I've seen other videos and screen shots were users don't have this issue. Is there a way to fix this? I moved and have not set up my sim since last year, Now its time to get it up and running again. I have never used the new V4+ P3D and i am excited to see the difference over the version 3++ . I am building a new sim computer and wanted to know if there is any significant reason to choose the I7 8700k over the I7 7700k. I will be using the silicon lottery CPU and want to order it ASAP. I will not change my 1080 as it has served me well. Your help is appreciated. Lee

Hello! I just purchased GSX yesterday, but i can't get it working. I've googled, and tried basically every fix i could find, but nothing works. I've tried re-installing gsx, re-installing Couatl, downloaded the standalone addon manager etc. I have registered over on fsdreamteam's forums, but not been activated yet. Hello mates, I'm sitting on 4.1 and it feels good so far. But some addons like FSLabs and scenery has started to only develop for 4.2 now. So I'm thinking about also upgrading. But the usual problem what comes to my mind is the following: Will there be any issues with current sceneries in 4.1 (all working good) and maybe other problems? I currently use only addons that are official for v4 and no copy&past from v3 or so. Can I simply update using all the installers? When I updates from v3.2 to 3.4 month ago I had no problem so far using that method. All worked good. But don't know if it will work in v4 too. PS: As you see I'm waiting till upgrading :D

So entering data into the FMC by holding tab do I can use the keyboard is great. I love it when developers include this as a feature since it makes some slow data entry much faster. But when I type ‘S’ it does not work. I have to mouse over to the letter S on the FMC to enter it. Since I fly in and out of St Louis a lot, it can be annoying. Anyone else having this problem or do I have something I need to fix?

I am going through the manual on how to enter a flightplan and can do so using the FMS knob but it just does not work if I try to use the keyboard on the GCU477 (I assume that is the attached keyboard which you can bring up with shift+4) nor can I get the computer keyboard to work with Scroll Lock. I have gone into the P3D menu and deleted the scroll lock setting to ATC. Any ideas?

Hi all. I have black airport buildings in Hawaii at ford island, and the marine airfield on honolulu. Honolulu international is fine, and so is Wheeler field. Also I have invisible aircraft at The marine airfield. I cannot see the plane, but can see its running lights. I do not see this issue at other airports. I fly all over the world. I just installed the client for 4.2. I updated fsuipc and PTA to the later versions for 4.2 and have had no issues flying other then these black buildings I just found when going to Hawaii for the first time since 4.2 was installed 2 days ago. I have disabled all add-ons. I disabled PTA and restored…
