Hello All! For some reason when I try to lower the texture res lower than 5M, my CPU spikes very bad. I do have High res textures checked. Does this happen to any of you?

My friend just purchased Prepar3d V4.2 and has a really strange problem with the zoom function. The zoom appears to only operate on the horizontal axis, so when he zooms out the view is crushed in on the sides while the vertical seems to maintain the same aspect ratio, the VC get's crushed in down to about 1" width of screen space, while the vertical is still the full height. It almost looks like a weird fisheye effect to the extreme. Hello All: I am looking for flight lessons or missions that will teach me the proper way to fly. Fsx used to have a few. I have searched quite a bit now, and have not really found any programs or mission packs available that do this. I have Fspilot, but it does not teach me how to fly, it just tells me if I do something wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. -Stampee

When I fly the CLS 767, the glass is not transparent at all! Also i notced ripping on some gauges. But the 2d panel is fine. Help!

Hi All Just my tuppenceworth to the CTDs in P3Dv4.2 re Weather installation -especially Rain -problem I am in the process of installing P3Dv 4.2 on a new machine and experimenting a lot I notice that with heavy duty planes like Milviz C310 Redux with GTN750/GTN 650 and WX Radar that CTDs can be avoided by loading Scenery then Airport then Weather (Orbyx 5 or Grey and Rainy) then the required Plane Following this sequence means I can fly Does P3Dv4.2 have a sequential preference for loading? xxd09

I have seen people have problems with this, but they get a -2 or a -4 warning. I have a -3 warning so whats going on? Everything works fine. The engines are fine, the flaps move and the bottom engine display works, but the FMC and every other display are black, or they say ERR: Startup Error!!!! Unable to start QW 757-3. I'm using SP3 which is the latest service pack, so idk what to do. I also have the latest version of the Stand-alone addon manager from FSDT and just downloaded a new installer from FSDT so i'm sure that its the latest version. Hi pilots, With all do respect i must admit that this aircraft fully "takes the sky to the limit" in every regards that i can with my relative humbly knowledge of this aircraft i can provide. Its truly a masterpiece in many ways- Its like going back in time for sure and specially for me as it has bin 5 years since my last cockpit turn with it. I got the updated E-Jets for P3Dv4, but when I install it, nothing works. I get the change in cursor when I hover over a switch or knob, but they don't move or do anything. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, were you able to fix it? Thanks, Russ

Now, many devolopers of many companies had try to create the 757/767 range of aircrafts. And, I’m going to show you the little things that bugged me ever since I got the addon. QW 757 Although the VC is decent, and the sounds are pretty good, there is one thing that irks me about the 757. FMC is non-functional in VC. Although that’s not terrible, it does bug me a lot. Also, the model is good but the aircraft is okay, while the windows in the exterior can be improved texture-wise. But one thing I HATE about this plane is how hard it is to get it working properly. It works perfectly with FS9 and FSX, but FSX:SE and P3D v4 compatibility is questionable. H…

I've seen some questions about why some 3rd party repaints have opaque windows. Since there was no documentation included with the paintkit, painters had to figure out what was controlling the opacity of the windows. After some investigation, I discovered that the opacity of the windows is controlled on the Alpha layer as shown below on the FWD_T texture. The paintkit made no mention of this (there was no readme or instructions), and the all white, BMP files included for the texture maps did not even contain an alpha layer of any sort. The best thing to do is refer to an existing paint and review its alpha layer for guidance.

I am curious about something regarding framerates. Generally speaking, do frames / stutters fluctuate up or down depending on departure or arrival into an airport? On my system, I seem to have no problem flying out of LAX, LGA, DCA, etc, or any other large airports in dense cities. However, more often than not, I can’t fly into them. I tried twice to do the Expressway visual at LGA and it was next to impossible because I kept getting stutters. However, restart the sim, and departing from LGA in the same weather, was no problem. Hi , I think I may have an issue with my dll.xml file not updating , I've had to reinstall my p3dv4 install from scratch as my windows drive went bang! and although p3d was on a different drive the dll,exe files were on the windows drive. So I decided to delete P3d and reinstall as well as upgrading to win 10 since reinstalling I've noticed that the dll.xml file now appears in capitals rather than in lower case and does not seem to update as reinstalled things like pmdg aircraft ,active sky, simstarter , raas I suspect this is not normal and I may have an issue but not sure where to look or fix, are there other possible locations for this file? …

No moving blades in the engine? Half of the cockpit lights don't work? Very crude passenger cabin... Nothing major and this add-on is ranking with the best but I find it strange nobody pointed thoses before and I am not known as being a nitpicker. Still room for improvment wich is a good news. Hi, Anyone got an idea what happened to the metars ? It looks as some apps and Active Sky cant download current metars.

When I bought my PC several year ago it was the best you could buy. Now its way behind the latest technology and I was finding it increasingly difficult to enjoy my flying due to stutters and slow downs. Because my PC was, at one time, cutting edge, I had got used to pushing the sliders to the right and we all know what that does. Hello. Just wondering if anyone has this scenery and how it works for you in P3Dv3.1? I just bought it today and installed it via its installer(pointed it to my P3Dv3 directory when it asked). Everything looks good except for the ground around the terminal. That is a big yellow polygon instead of the ground textures. The taxiways, runways, buildings, everything else looks good. Anyone else seen this?
