Hi all- I recently updated to the most up to date version of P3D v4. I noticed that I get good fps, like before, most of the time. About 40 fps. However, when I zoom in even slightly, the FPS gets a HUGE drop. All the way down to about 3 fps. What is going on here? This did not happen in the old version.

can anyone point me to a cessna172 for pd3=v4 would prefer the g 1000 garmin model also will the download go straight into my fxt I have added airports and scenary but never aircraft

I'm looking for a program to use in P3dV4.3+ that will record flight data metrics that I can do post flight analysis work with and that maintains a log/database file of previous flights. Something similar to Aerosoft's Flight Keeper and/or the discontinued REX Latitude (without any of the MMP Bells and whistles). I'm trying to find something that runs autonomously in the background with little or very slight performance impact running it from either the client or a networked machine. Got any Ideas?

So I've learned how to change aircraft lighting on vehicles by identifying the appropriate .fx files on the p3dv4/effects folder and then modifying the aircraft config file lights section with the appropriate lighting names. Most of the lighting effects I've been able to swap around are from various freeware aircraft that came with their own specific custom lighting or the shockwave lighting package. However I also have a vast library of payware aircraft some of which have excellent LED beacon and strobe effects. Just installed KSFO from flightbeam on v4.3 and getting an immediate CTD when desktop loads . Nothing on support site . Any ideas anyone else had issuses.

Hi all, Just returned from South American tour. Had a great time and also made note of several airports that we flew into and out of. These included Lima, Quito, Cuzco and one on Balta in the Galapagos that I can't remember. Anyway, anyone have suggestions for quality airports in this neck of the woods? Thanks, Mark

According to iFly, the 737 is getting a much-needed retexturing before they move on and concentrate their efforts on the MAX. Which is welcome news. But they don't seem interested in doing anything about the atrocious sounds. I see that TSS put out a sound set for the NG. Anyone know if it works with iFly? Or is it a PMDG-only thing?

Hey guys I was wondering what the best addon for simulating passengers on airline flights. I know FSPassengers is great and new version is coming out but any other ideas? Looking for better announcement addon and to add more airline operations realism. cheers

Hi I have been using tomato shade and I have an issue with night lighting n p3d v4. the orange textures under the lights are a rather red-orange effect But when I remove tomato shade it turns back to what it should be.is there a way to fix this? i have attached a pic before and after tomato shade is removed with tomato shade without tomato shade

Can anyone kindly inform me if Taxi2Gate's Hamad Internationl(OTBD) has been updated to v4? Likewise for KCMI from TropicalSim.? Have a few airports from both developers and want to know if they are now to be consigned to FSX,V2,etc trash can as I have not been able to find any information from their websites other than links to their respective Forums. Tried to install in v4 and they seemed to install okay buy are not showing up either in Addon Library or in the sim itself.

Hello Nico, I downloaded the flai liveries to the right folder (E:\PSXseeconTraffic\FLAi) and the flai.txt file to: C:\Users\Wim\AppData\Roaming\FLAI. I cannot see any traffic at all, but got error 81. It is clear that prepar3d does not read the ai traffic. But I do not know how to make prepar3d read the proper flai file. I thought the above mentioned folders would do the job. I am using real traffic. I spent a lot of time searching your avsim threads but I could not get an answer. Best regards Wim Mens

Hello, users! Anyone have a problem with UT Live in Prepar3D v4.2 like this? It was hard to capture a screenshot, but I made it!) Error start appearing about 3 days ago. If this helps, then I need to tell I have "Fake install" for FSX and Prepar3Dv3. If I starting UTLive application before game and make any changes (traffic density, for example) then my simulator starts without error. But if start the game without this "fix" then to AI planes in airports. Also check the second screenshot, in right upper corner. I never see this notification before. No help on official forum, but maybe any bits of advice here?)))

Hello all! I own Rex Texture Direct and was showing minor interest in the Envtex program. Are the textures better than Rex offers? Is it worth the pricetag compared to Rex? I recently removed Tomatoshade from my sim becuase I believe it had a major performance hit without too much benefit. I was looking at Envshade and PTA as the alternatives. Which one of these programs is "better." I know envshade is a one-click shader tool and PTA requires some tweaking, but I want my sim to really look good. Thanks Goose

Has anyone found a way to use WeFly GPS in version 4? I see there are updates to use that GPS up to V3, but nothing else.

When I land my PMDG aircraft at LatinVFR KMIA 3, the P3D default ATC always assigns me to a cargo gate. Does anyone know of a way to get ATC to direct me to a Terminal instead? I appreciate any suggestions Thanks Rob

I have FSDT as well as the default vehicles that just run around and do nothing...anyway to get rid of..i believe these are built into P3dv4.. Do I have to use the sdk/traffic toolbar to get rid of them? Thanks, Bob M.

Comes in at US$30. I know American Airlines uses RR powered 757, and I think Icelandair...are there many other large airlines still using RR powered 757s? I know Delta and United both use PW.

Waiting for Captainsim updates is a perpetual process and I miss flying around in the L-1011. I noticed that Justflight updated theirs to P3DV4. But much to my disappointment, they seem to have replaced the CIVA with a flight computer. Does anyone here own the Justflight L-1011 Professional and can you confirm that they ripped the CIVA out of the sim? I'm not interested if it doesn't have a CIVA.

The latest Nvidia driver is causing major stutters. I had no problems with he previous driver 398.36 and considering going back. I usually run DDUcleaner to uninstall before installing any new driver. I've also stopped using Nvidia inspector and have been configuring the driver through the P3Dv4 and through Nvidia control panel. Anyone else seeing this issue or at least have some success with it? I have posted this issue in the Hardware & Operating Systems Discussions section of Avsim, but decided to post it here also, as the issue only affects my system when operating in P3Dv4, so it may be a P3D issue rather than a hardware issue. I have been using all of my Saitek controllers -- Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, Rudder Pedals, and Trim wheel -- in P3Dv4 for several days now, then suddenly I started the sim and noticed that the Hat Top switch -- which I have set to VIEW SCROLL -- only works scrolling up, but not down, right or left. So the Hat Top works, but only partially. I thought there might be a problem in the controller hardware contacts, so I loaded P3Dv3…
