As the title suggests - has anyone installed any of Don Grovestine's airports in v4? If so, any tips or "gotchas". I know he redid CYYJ this year so that one will probably work, but I'm particularly interested in CYCD (Nanaimo) and CYBL (Campbell River) both of which date back to the 2011/2012 timeframe. Scott

I am trying to get the Flight1 GTN 750 to work on the a2a c172. I used the c172 aircraft configurator and got the panel to show up on it, but for the life of me I can't get it to turn on. I tried all the buttons on the panel and can't get them to work.

My clouds are shrinking and then getting bigger. Anybody have a solution.

Hi, my name is Philip and I have flight simulation as an active hobby. I fly around 2 hours every day. I use fsxse, Pmdg 737ngx, fsuipc, active sky next and Rex texture direct. I also use a panel, saitek switch panel. I have been thinking about changing platform to Prepar3d, but since it is a lot of money we are talking about here, I would like some honest answers on these questions: thank you 1. Is it worth using 59,99 dollars on in general? 2. Is the academic version a monthly subscription where you get charged every month? I hope it is not. 3. Hi Folks, Anyone else going through the effort to find better models and replace them in UTL ? All was working well - started making improvements by swapping out better AI models - then on one start of P3Dv4/UTL - the little "Ultimate Traffic Initializing" flashes - then comes back every 5 seconds or so and my traffic never appears... Tried the restart/reboot routine - then tried deleting many of the new AI models I added - no joy... I found a post on F1 where someone mentioned similar - one suggestion stated the "repaint.xml" file gets mangled - just wondering how prevalent this problem is - and if there is a work around... I have discovered a very troubling and frustrating issue in 4.3. While attempting to change the time of day in the start up page I found that there is a long period of delay when scrolling the number up or down. This happens with both the mouse and the up and down arrows. For instance if I the system time says 10 A.M and I want the flight to leave 8 hours later I try to change the number to 6 P.M. If I try to use the mouse wheel the number does not change for 30 seconds or so and then does not land on 6 P.M. The same thing happens if I try to change it using the up and down key on the key board. It is nearly impossible to set the time of day with this problem. …

Is there a Traffic.bgl when you install P3dv4.3? I know that when you install say UTLive or MT6 or whatever, you usually change extension to bak or passive or something like that but I think I deleted it and no traffic showing. If I need it, where can I find a copy of it? Thanks, Bob M.

I've started experiencing an awful to diagnose problem. All my aircraft without exception appear to act like the elevator is fully deflected up, as if the control column is pulled fully back. It is counteracted by forward control column pressure, but shouldn't happen... This only began recently...and no I can't pin it down to a particular event or addon. Actions taken: (sequentially) Checked control calibration (no effect) Changed controllers (no effect) Deleted generated files (no effect) Started P3D with zero addons (no effect) I'm now down to uninstalling and reinstalled the client, unless anyone can come up with an idea for s…

Is anyone experiencing issues with the new TFDi 717 Autorudder? It seems as though I cannot turn On the AutoRudder setting in P3D's realism settings. When I check it on, exit the settings, and then go back, it is back to it's Off state. I reset it back to On,repeat the process, and find it is back to Off. I don't recall this happening with the v1.0 version. Is there a setting in the TFDi add-On Manager? If so, I haven't been able to locate it. I thought I had the issue resolved via the Enable AutoRudder setting in the Tablet, but that doesn't seem to be getting it to hold either. Any help, surely appreciated. Mike

Hi all, Just wondering, I see many posts of people mentioning that P3D v5 is coming soon. Where this information is coming from? I'm unaware. The latest version of v4 is coming hopefully this month and in my view v4 is still new and amazing. I don't get why some think v5 is coming the next months. I would assume that v4 needs to mature more before a new version. Personally I would expect v5 at least after Q2 2019. I enjoy immensely v4 still some add-ons (mostly scenery) are not yet converted. If I miss something I'd be glad to let me know.

I'm considering buying Pro ATC X and would like some opinions on it. Pros and cons as the title suggests. Thanks for any input. Jim

Hello I recently bought the Aerosoft A320/A321 because i saw it was compatible for prepar3d but its only compatible for v3 does anyone know how to make it work in prepar3d v4 i installed it and nothing works only the lights. the displays dont work and the controls dont work PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Hi guys, i have regular 8700 cpu, not K version. it can go 6 cores @ 4.3 or 1 core @ 4.6, what you guys think is better? right now im on the 6 cores at 4.2-3. all of them running to 100% with P4.3 around temp of 78-80c. im not using any AM parameter. another thing i noticed, i see my 1080 card mostly running on 80-90% usage, 80c temp. and only 3000Gb vram used for the card (out of 8 ) if the card is almots kiiling himself why the vram so low? thanks!

This problem is driving me nuts! All of my aircraft are pulling to the left as I accelerate down the runway, and then they start pulling to the right as the speed increases. What on Earth is happening? I have calibrated the joystick, but the problem persists. I have installed FSUIPC 4.946. I have tried changing the realism settings, and the problem is partially corrected....but who wants to fly with realism on EASY? I need help! Can someone please offer any advice?

Hello all, Does anyone have experience with running Aerosoft Dublin in P3D v4? I'm aware that this airport is not officially v4 compatible but does it run ok? Extra marks if it also runs with no compatibility issues with Orbx Ireland ;)

I loaded into EGKK earlier and noticed I was getting somewhere around 8 FPS which is very strange for my system. After reducing my settings I noticed increase in FPS when increasing autogen settings. However, when loading into KSFO I noticed a dramatic increase in performance with my original autogen settings! I saw at least a 20 FPS boost. Which is strange because both of these airports are quite busy airports. I don't have scenery in EGKK but I have flightbeam KSFO HD. Could the default scenery be causing low fps? Hi all, ive read from several people including Orbx who recommend using FS Global 2010 for the mesh while using their products. I do own Fs Global 2010 but as you all know the Installation setup will only allow you to choose FSX or Prepare 1 - 3, and i have none of the sims on my PC. Ive tried making my own folder FS Global to get teh files dropped into thinking I could then manually point to scenery folder of V4 to it, but the installer said no, and wont accept that. Ive also tried pointing the Installer to the P3dV4 install manually but the install fails halfway and rollsback. Can anyone please tell me how on earth do i get Fs Global 2010 to install to V4? …

Ok not sure where to post this as it concerns multiple platforms and addons! Something I've noticed whilst using FSX with Active Sky Next and REX texture direct on my old system out here in Hungary is that the cloud base/ scaling feels quite realistic in that it gives you a good sense of altitude. However on my new system back in the UK with Active Sky for P3D and REX skyforce the cloud base and scaling often leave it feeling like i am only just skimming the cloud tops. Has anyone else noticed this and is there a reason for it?

Hello guys I have a issue that’s driving me nuts! Ever since I downloaded v4.3, I am getting this ATC pause right before ATC gives instruction, or before they reply to another aircraft. Sometimes the pause is a fraction of a second, but sometimes it’s a whole second. I have a pretty powerful system... 32 gigs RAM, GTX1060 6gb OC, i7-6700K, and Windows 10. I did a clean install of my graphics driver to see if that would help but no luck. I run my settings “medium high” just for peace of mind as far as frames but I get 40-60fps on the ground at payware airports, and 60fps in cruise. This is with ORBX scenery, UTL, AS16, and SF running as well. But in v4.2 the pauses were no…

Apologies if this is the inappropriate forum for a question like this. I'm looking for a good looking Boeing that isn't study level and that won't be too hard on my system (Sandybridge (I think) Core i5 oc'd to 4GHz, GTX 1050Ti, 16GB RAM, SSD for OS and P3d, Windows 10 x64). Something around the complexity level of the Aerosoft A318/319 Pro would probably be a good fit. I'm thinking 737, but would be happy to consider any 7x7 if you think it offers a good combination of performance/complexity/looks. I'd prefer something with a relatively modern cockpit, rather than all steam gauges. Thanks, Alistair
