Hello, I have encountered very strange artifacts with dynamic lighting enabled in P3D v4.3 Video link below: RIG: I7-7700k 4.5 Ghz EVGA SC 2 1080ti 16 GB 3000Mhz RAM SSD Link to settings: https://imgur.com/a/FxCUb5W I understand that SSAA and dynamic lighting don't mix well but I was thinking it should result in loss if FPS but not in black squares flickering all over the screen. Hi everyone, I decided to fly around to some of the default airports now that Rex released their update for WW airports. However, I forgot how the default buildings are so bright at night that it annoys me to fly in and out of these airports. Anyone know of a tweak in TomatoShade or PTA or within P3D that applies to DEFAULT AIRPORT BUILDING lighting? I have tweaked everything else to near perfection, including default scenery buildings and autogen brightness at night, but the default airport building brightness doesn't change. Thanks, John

installed PRO ATC X, flight plans working perfectly, click fly now and the aircrafts COMMs are switched to the ATIS yet the button to open the in flight menu doesn’t work. Nothing comes up. Very very frustrating. Re-installed P3D and Simconnect twice, still doesn’t work.

If dynamic lighting is turned off in P3D v4 does the sim and all the addons function the same as in P3D v3 with legacy lighting or not? Let's take for example PMDG 737 on Aerosoft Mega Airport London Heathrow professional. Does lighting look the same as in P3D v3 if dynamic lighting is off? Does it even work? What's the difference? Probably a very basic question but I asked it a couple of times in other threads and didn't get an answer. Thanks!

Has anyone developed an AI Separation program for v4? Or has gotten a older program like AISmooth to work? I use UT Live and sometimes the ai traffic tends to stack up. This might have been covered already and I’ve just been out of the loop but the last post I saw on this matter was back in 2017. So I was curious if anything worth mentioning has surfaced.

I would like to get the benefits of the PBR like effect of tomato shade for my addon aircraft, but have a really good pta preset that i have spent hours tweaking. Is it possible to use the reflection tool and my pta preset together? From what I understand, the reflection tool just tweaks the aircraft model, not the shaders correct?

I have P3D v4.3, with Flyinside P3D and an Oculus Rift VR headset. The setup works great in Virtual Cockpit view, but when I cycle through the other basic views (Spot, Locked Spot, Tower, etc) I see the red text view titles, and audio changes accordingly, but the actual views are nothing but black screen. I formerly used the headset with FSX Steam Edition and Flyinside for FSX, and had no such problems. I have an Intel i7-4790K CPU, operating at 4Ghz, 32Gb of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card. I am running Windows 10 64 bit edition. Recently I have bought FlyTampa's Kai Tak (VHHX), but after installing it, gsx does not read the right .bgl file and it thinks it is the default airport, that fyi has no parking what so ever. How do I fix this?

I'm experiencing api.dll error/crash. Happened to me flying the PMDG NGX, midflight. The panel displays quit responding, but aircraft continued moving over the ground; autopilot quit working, buttons and switches quit responding...All this continued with the aircraft continued moving over the ground for several minutes...then the little blue rotating windows ring, then finally a P3D crash. Hello, P3D was updated to V4.3 and it will not let a view be on either one of two projector displays. I have an inclusive cockpit making use of 5 projectors and the other three projectors work. Is there any thoughts on what could be causing P3D to crash when I put a window of P3D into those two displays? The issue is only with V4.3 as we did a regular update to V4.3 and then a clean install after that did not work which also did not fix the issue. When we revert back to V4.2 we do not see this issue. Good day all! I've just bought ENVSHADE and have downloaded ENVDIR, however, when i try and open it - it doesn't work. I run it as an administrator, the loading screen comes up, but then becomes a lighter blue and crashes. I've tried a reinstall, and have turned off my Antivirus with no hope. Help is much appreciated, Adrian

hi I've just started getting an issue were sode is crashing my installed version pf p3dv3.4 This has only just started since i installed the pmdg 777 although I can't see how this would cause the issue. Basically when I start p3dv3 i get a message that there is more than one instance of sode running and to shut one down but before I can do this p3d crashes. I read on here that others have had this and resolved it by uninstalling and installing the latest version which I have tried I'm using 1.5.2 but I get the same thing p3d crashes although I do not get the sode message P3dv4 starts ok any ideas?

Is anyone familiar with this application ? Seems like a telemetry fligtht data recorder, primarily for DCS, but can be used in Xplane and also P3D. The question about a recorder function was raised on another thread looking for something similar to FSRecorder, but which could specifically record PMDG animation data and play a flight back smoothly within the sim TACVIEW was suggested, but the answer to the question wasn't specifically confirmed.. I was absent from simming for more than a year and now I'm eager to come back. I own P3D v3 Professional and tons of payware addons. My rig is i7 [email protected], GTX970, 8GB RAM. I plan to buy new machine next year - fingers crossed, Nvidia releases new graphics card by than - so I don't plan on buying more RAM or new graphics card right now. I made a rough calculation and P3D v4 and all the addons upgrades would cost me around 410€. Not to mention that about 1/3 of addons I have is still not compatible with v4. Hello community, I have a question, have 3 monitors for the P3d V4. If I pull the picture on three monitors, it works well, but the problem is that I see the bottom of the taskbar and the top of the border, there is a program that makes these edges disappear. Many Thanks

I bought this scenery from simmarket, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with v4. Is there an updated version for v4 that I can buy or are there update files i can download?

All, Copied over my planes from FSX into Prepar3d. For some reason, the GPS shows up black for just the 737. Any help would be appreciated. Tim

I hate the fact that the system assigns buttons and axis on its own. I have so many controllers that this is driving me insane Everyday its something or the other. I it assigns Axis to my Go flight modules... all my USB devises are treated like joystick. How do I prevent this from happening? How do you all manage this insanity? Once I set my things up, can I make the standard.xml read only and prevent P3D to write on it?

I've noticed for a while and maybe since I have been on P3Dv4, that the airspeed indicator needle is choppy and not very smooth when crusing. it will fluctuate in increments of 5-7 knots with no transition between, just instant fluctuations. It seems I notice it more when there is some turbulence, but it doesn't take much. I fly only GA aircraft. I looked at some settings in ASP4 just to make sure something wasn't set ridiculously and I made one adjustment to wind shear where it was set at 100 and the default should have been 50, but the problem persists. So, can anyone offer a suggestion on things I can try to fix this issue? Thanks! Robert
