( I have also posted on the LM Forum) I recently updated Prepar3D from the good v4.2 to v4.3 (bad?) Now with the new version i have with same settings and addons (only orbx) many drops framerate whit change view and i see blurry textures. I use original prepar3d.cfg with only 2 edit: OPAQUE_SHADOW_TEXTURE_SIZE=4096 (defaul 2048) LOD_RADIUS=9.5 (default 6.5) I use very high settings 4K (almost maximum) but with v4.2 work very well (without blurry), min 30fps max 60/70fps, with 4.3 drops min 18/20fps and i see blurry! Hi all, minor annoyance but does anyone know why some addon aircraft load from start screen with engines running and then the engines immediately shut down? Realair legacy does it, carenado Navajo does it. I don’t have any mods for cold dark or any flights saved in these conditions so I’m at a loss really.

For some reason I can't switch airports without completely going out of P3dv4.3 and restart. Just using the default plane. Thanks for any hints or tips. Bob M.

Hi, Has couple of question regarding the Maddog-X, since unable to read from their forum before being a paying member, anyhow someone in here are able to help/advise please 🙂 QUESTIONS: 1. How are the Maddog-X VC/cockpit texture compare to PMDG 737-NGX and the Q400 MS. - Looked into several youtube videos and vc/cockpit texture often looks a little "flat" and sometimes blurry! 2. Think I read somewhere they will develop option for shared cookpit, is this true ? Anyone has any comments, please advise 🙂 brgds Søren

This is getting me stumped in a big way for the last few days trying to figure it out. After switching from fsx to p3dv4 version so far this has me stumped. Issue is that with fsx I had set my default start up screen to be my own airport or town where I live eg Melbourne. Than when ever I change location to any part of the world the time will reflect on the change, but for some reason p3dv4 is staying the same time where ever I go, also I notice after when I select change airport the restore time on the move iam unable to untick or tick its checked now. Hi, this has been something that has been annoying me a bit. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do ground steering except the regular combined ground steering + rudder? What I want is for example: when on ground the spoiler axis = ground steering but when in air spoiler axix = spoiler. How do you guys do ground steering and clever solutions? I think its really annoying to do the ground steering with pedals. My setup is Saitek rudder pedals and a Thrustmaster Hotas Joystick. Thanks for any suggestions /Niklas Eriksson

Hi Folks, I’ve been using Tomato Shade for a couple of months with no issue but today I had an issue with Windows Defender thinking that the “DynamicReflectionMaker.exe” file is in fact a Trojan. Defender keeps quarantining the file and removing it from the Tomato Shade folder. Has anyone else had this issue? I’m running Windows 10, P3D V4.3 and Version 23 of Tomato Shade

Hi all, anyone have some input on the F1 B200 in v4? Really considering getting this as the Milviz 350 seems to be taking an eternity 😉 Looks like F1 added some features and recompiled specifically for v4. Really interested to know if the G1000 screen(s) is still heavy on the sim performance? i know F1 has the refund option but would still like some feedback first. Thx

I recently installed this add-on and find it dfficult to fly. When I push an anti-yaw pedal nothing happens to the yaw - at first! Suddenly yaw changes and then continues alarmingly. I then have to stand on the opposite pedal and the same thing happens in reverse. I have reduced pedal sensitiviy in settings with no improvement. I know that the fenestron gives different handling than an exposed tail rotor but this seems more like PIO. I emailed MP Design Studio yesterday but no reply yet. Any ideas anyone? Thanks, Brian

I often read that limiting the framerate in P3D V4.3 has benefits - for me it only kills framerates. Let me give you an example for the same scenery, being static on the ground (let's take LOWW for example): Unimited framerates result in app. 40-50fps Framerate limit to 40fps results in app. 25-30fps and choppiness Framerate limit to 30fps results in app. 20fps and choppiness Framerate limit to 20fps results in app. 12-15fps and choppiness Why? For me, limiting the framerate has no benefit at all...

On Sunday I made a post recommending BJ Marten's "Cold & Dark to Taxi Ready" videos on YouTube. I had recently discovered them, thought them to be excellent, and wanted to call the community's attention to them. Today this post returned to the front page as others favorably commented on the post. But soon after these comments, the post disappeared without any explanation whatsoever - or even notice to me. In p3d v4.3 my gpu usage is very low at 20 to 35 percent. I looked at my cpu usage and its at 50 to 70 percent. Any way to get my gpu usage higher? My performance is not where I want it to be. Panning with chase plane is not smooth. Addons: FSLabs a320, PMDG 737, Orbx Global, Tomato Shade, Active sky, and ASCA. PC Specs: Intel 4770k @ 4.2, GTX 1080 SC, 16gb ram, Samsung EVO SSD

I am using the R22. I have followed all the instructions. I think. I can display the autopilot and adjust everything. All the buttons seem to work "AP" etc except YD. But when I lift off the copter spins/rotates to the right. The peddles don't stop it as they would without the autopilot. I am using the GTN750 with an active flight plan. Every thing set to GPS, NAV on. Does not follow the flight plan. I've posted this in the other post on this topic but had no reply's. What am I missing. P3d V4.3 Thank You. Bill McCracken

Hello everyone, I have recently downloaded P3D V4.3 And when I load into the game after selecting my aircraft all I get is a black screen. I can hear the engines in the background but I can not see anything. I have tried deleting the shaders and turning down my graphical settings but no luck, I was hoping someone here could help me out

Few days ago F1 released new GNS (2.04) for P3Dv4.3, but seems to me that import flight plan dosent work. did You notice the same problem? According the manual: After powering up the GNS and acknowledging the “Database” and the “Instrument Panel Self-Test” page by pressing the ‘ENT’ button twice, you will see the “Import Flight Plan” page. Turn the right inner knob to choose your flight plan but I havent this screen Import Flight Plan (tested GNS 430).

Hi... I recently completed a flight from KSFO-KDFW. When finished, I shut down P3d. I was looking to see if PSP was installed and noticed there was an update to Open LC or Base that I needed to install. I went ahead and did the install/update. When I did that, I tried to load P3d and the sim just hangs in the black start screen. I don't get a CTD or any error message. It just sits there and never gets me to the menu screen. I can only think the update is what is causing the issue. Can someone point me in the right direction to fix? I'd hate to have to do an uninstall/install because I have so many add ons in there.

I do not see repair when I click on uninstall in the control panel. Is modify the word for repair in p3d v4. Using win 10.

So i was on flight with the pmdg 747 form Francfort to Dubaï and during the flight when iwas crusing at fl310 my simulation rate start to increase automaticly. It start to speed up at 2x and after it stays at 4x. I try to stop it by set it back on normal but it was stuck on 4x. The only way that i found was pressing p to pause p3d but it start it again. Hello all, Got a small problem which has just cropped up and hope someone can help me out. I have just reinstalled (Clean after reformat) P3Dv4.3 after an update to 4.3 went awry (internet problem) All went OK and reinstalled my ORBX Australian sceneries and my one Payware aircraft (iFly737) plus GSX. First flight eagerly anticipated and I loaded up the 737. All went exceedingly well until I went to set trim values. I moved the trim wheel but no movement indicated on the throttle panel. I then found that the computer was locked up and any movement of the mouse just resulted in multiple error sounds depending on how far the mouse was moved. I could not clo…

hello i use active sky for p3d v4 as my weather engine however i believe there is something wrong with rain pattern.i dont know how to explain so here is the picture. https://i.hizliresim.com/aYpX47.jpg . i meant it does not look realistic only there are a lot of circles instead of 1 whole raining area. i tried with pmdg 737 777 and quality wing 787 allsame problem maybe i m missing something
