Is anyone else having problems with the Cambridge EGSC NDB (NDB CAM freq = 332.5) in P3Dv4? I have tried to tune it on two different sim aircraft recently and it doesn't come alive. It's listed on the most recent real-world chart, and it was working several months ago in the real world when I was taking lessons there.

I am looking into using the speaker switch button that is on the comm panel (lets say in the 747) that will switch the incoming atc from the headset to the speaker. VRC is nice that it allows to select between the two quickly. Would be nice if in the aircraft we could do the same thing. Not sure if this is currently possible, but if it is can someone please advise on how to accomplish this. I am curious if maybe this can be a LUA script, a program needs to do this(vpilot), or do developers need to incorporate this in order for it to work.

Hello everybody! I would like to kindly ask a suggestion. My Prepar3d v4.3 settings are quite satisfing in visuals and fps, but the autogen loads quite slowly popping out too much in the near horizon. Is there any CFG setting to speed up the autogen drawing? It may have some fps costs maybe, but i would live with it. Thanks a lot!!

I've only tested 3 airports. KSFO (FlightBeam), KSJC (Imaginesim), and KRNO (Default). I had the PMDG 747's wheels sink through the ground. And, in ChasePlane, I can go through part of the ground and see the 747's wheel chocks. Also, the FlySimWare LearJet 35A also sunk through the ground at KSJC. I did have this in P3D v3, so I'm no too worried. But, I never had this happen at KSFO. At the default KRNO, the wheels were fine. Even Ultaimate Traffic Live and GSX had the wheels sink at KSFO.

I never understood how to use a weather radar, and the NDs on the PMDG 737 and the FSL A320 don't show anything. (Im obviously doing something wrong...) But I can't really say It's the A320's fault since the weather is a little too good for the WX Radar to be any use... Even with thunderstorms, I don't see much. (Tilt all the way down?) So I guess I REALLY don't know how to use a WX radar...

Hi everyone I currently run P3dV4 on and I7 5960x Cpu with emough memory along with a GTX 1080Ti Graphics card. I am thinking of upgrading my CPU to an I7 8700k or can anyone suggest a CPU that may be a better fit for P3dV4. I have the $$$ but looking at value for what I get also. Thanks for reading

I keep getting texture problem and not sure how to solve this, using Orbx Global/Vector/LC, is not happening everywhere, could this be due to flying near or over addon airport?

'Terrain, terrain' - 'Pull up'! 'You don't want to be anywhere near that' So there was doing a flight from Atlanta into Anchorage on Saturday on a PMDG 747. I was passing over the Orbx Northern Rocky and Southern Alaska region and was really excited because I hadn't flown in that region since I'd given up on GA flying in P3D about 2 years ago. (even A2A's latest and greatest can't lure me back). Some say that this feature hasn't been implemented yet, but others, such as FSElite insist that it's already available. Really want to get this bird but still would like to know a few things from those that have the updated version. Is the banding in the cockpit at night still there? This really turned me off this aircraft when I found that out. Does it now have rain effects on windscreen? Does it have dynamic lighting inside and out? Your general opinion please.

Hi, I’ve recently done a full nuke and re-install of P3Dv4 as my textures had become a bit of a mess due to the various add-ons I had installed and removed over time. Of particular concern was I was getting “banding” in the night sky which was ruining the immersion plus the ground lights (streetlights etc) were “blooming” and not very enjoyable. Since the re-install everything is much better and the “banding” problem has gone away. p.s. I tried doing just an uninstall and reinstall of the content.msi but had lots of problems with this, hence the complete re-install (which was long overdue anyway). I using P3Dv4 and just purchased Active Sky P3D4 and WideView-64. I have 2 computers running P3Dv4, one for the main program and the 2nd for left and right side views. Do I need to run Active Sky on the 2nd computer or just have the clouds installed on that computer? Jerry

Hi, After years of carelessness, I decided to re-learn the basics of flying and yesterday I read the chapter "rudder" in Stick and Rudder by Wolfgang Langewiesche. Now I better understand what is adverse yaw and the necessity to use rudder in turns. At this time I'm flying the A2A C172: in a 30 degrees turn, the ball is perfectly centered while I apply NO rudder at all?!?! Normally the ball should be more on the right side indicating that action on rudders is required? I confess that I did not pay too much attention to adverse yaw when I was on FSX or other simulators but I don't recall noticeable adverse yaw whereas in real life I read that instructor…

I've posted this on flightsimlabs but avsim has a larger coverage: Guys, I'm having an annoying problem with FMGC regularly dropping the preset automated T/O data after entering all the flight numbers and engaging FDs (while on the ground). For about 4 mins all looks and works good on FCU, all dots are where needed, after entering all the data.Then (I think) there's sound like a breaker blows up, the dots on FCU turn into numbers, flight directors appear on the PFD. To fix the problem I have to reset FDs again, all turns back to normal, then after about 3 mins the same thing happens again. I had it a couple of times. Symptom: Stuck, low memory usage, no or very low cpu & disk - usage. Solution: - Uninstall only the Client - DOWNLOAD a previous version of the client (for ex: Install_Client_4.2.21.24048.msi) - RUN Prepar3D >>> you might geht an error message maybe that a scenery file cannot be found, but this is what we want.. - P3D started successfully. - EXIT, Uninstall the old client, and install the current one again. Hello everyone, I have a request from the great community of AVSIM. I am looking for a fast, small touring aircraft that I can use to fill up my projectFLY passport. I would prefer it to be jet-powered if possible. Maybe a Bizjet. I would also like to have a quality autopilot and nav system. I have the F1 GTN 650 & 750 and the RealityXP 530 so if there is not built in screen, I can get around that. Please no G1000. I still cannot work that one very well. Monday I purchased my beautiful A2A Bonanza. It was a stellar day here in South Carolina so I loaded my weather engine and like I do with all my new aircraft I took her up for a familarization flight. I practiced slow flight, stalls, steep turns, turns around a point and slow flight in a landing configuration. As I started back to the pattern for some landings I noticed I was feeling clammy, palms were sweaty and I was nauseous, the unmistakable symthoms of motion sickness.I actually got airsick on a table top sim.
