Hi Folks Zoom problem started yesterday. I have tried 3 different aircraft and this happens with each of them: I set the eye point and zoom level with the plus and minus keys to where I want it. In 2 minutes or less, the zoom changes by itself. I correct it with the + key, and less than 2 minutes later it changes out [minus direction]. I am running AS for weather and using P3Dv4.2, 3 monitor setup. Have never experienced this before. Any suggestions on what to do? Specs below. Thanks!

Hello,does anybody have a working AFCAD for Taxi2Gate LTBA?I have issues because AI Traffic should use Rwy 35L for takeoff and Rwy 05 for Landing. So I changed the usage of Rwy's Now, I got following issue: Windcondition: 060/11. All Aircraft used 35L for Take-Off but 23 for Landing. Why 23 and not 05 ?! Where is the Problem?

I have recently (less than a week) have gotten CTD when I open P3D and I have done all the P3D debugging steps so please DON'T recommend that. Hello all, Need a bit of advice here. I have just had a catestrophic SSD failure and of course it had to be my P3D standalone SSD. I went to the P3D site and started my 12+ GB download and noticed that there is an option for a set-up download. As I already have a P3Dv4.3 downloaded complete with a set up exe I am wondering what is the difference and is there any benefit to using the download set up system. I have lots more questions too but will address them in the fullness of time. Thanks for any information. Regards Tony

Is there a decent F-15 for P3D v4 to be found anywhere, either payware or freeware...?? I've looked around at the usual payware and freeware sites but have come up empty so far. The only thing I have found is the Milviz F-15, which I have in FSX and it is cracking good, but it simply will not work in P3D v4, and believe me I have tried. The external models and VC display just fine, but the engines simply will not start no matter what I've tried. Unforunately Milviz has no plans to update the F-15 to be P3D v4 compatible, at least not anytime soon, which is a shame because the flight sim world is quickly moving away from FSX and towards P3D.

Hello. As many of you may have experienced when you use gsx at FlyTampa's EHAM the docking systems dissapear. This is very unrealistic and disturbing. I decided to create a fix. It still is a WIP. By selecting the "all runways open" in the configurator after installing this fix you will get them back. I can’t for the life of me come up with a good combo of realistic settings for the above combo. No matter what, blue skies don’t look blue enough and the clouds don’t look thick or white enough. It is almost as though the look blended into the sky and there is little contrast between sky and cloud. I’ve seen realistic looking pics so I know it can be done. I just started using tomato shade and use rd’s Presets. I switched from pta and that didn’t seem to fix the issue. Any ideas? My skyforce settings in terms of the themes are the ones that Chewwy uses. My active sky settings are pretty standard as well. Thanks.

I have been playing around with PTA yesterday using preset from THOPAT and after sorting few issues I managed to record short fly around LOWI, I think it looks great apart from clouds as I don't have AS.

Hello, I am having issues with some scenery installation. I honestly have no idea what to do with it. Please help! Edit: I had some people in my VA help me fix the issue. I ran the orbx vector runway altitude modifier and everything was repaired. Hi all, For those who know about shaders and Tomato shade....I have been trying to figure out a shade preset that has a very dark night. The shader that comes with tomatoshade that is "tomadoshade dark" does this very well. But, the shader when installed makes the gauges and displays of my aircraft blurry. I can't figure out for the life of me which setting makes it this way! The normal tomatoshade from the website doesn't have this affect. If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated

I was flying from KSFO to KPHX, with my newly purchased REX Texture Direct. But, when I'm facing the sun, and I have an object in front of me, the sun effects bleed through the plane. It happens with jetways, airport objects (buildings, static cars, etc.), and AI aircraft.

Imaginsim's LaGuardia Airport has been available for the better part of 2018. I have been thinking about purchasing this add-on, but in reading forum comments here on Avsim from February-March, there were issues including elevation/water on runways, and other items. If you use this software, can you give me some information about any lingering issues I should be aware of. Very much appreciated. Rob

One common theme in the past has been folks needing to move their sim installs to another HDD/SSD because they ran out of space on the original drive. In case you didn't realize it, when Prepar3D added the xml scenery libraries to the age-old scenery.cfg setup, it made it easily possible to place (most) add-ons on any drive, not just the one P3D is installed on. With a good scenery manager like Lorby-SI's free P3D Addon Manager, it's a fairly easy process. If the scenery is already installed using the xml library (in PAOM it'll be in bright green in the scenery list when enabled), it's as simple as moving the scenery over to another drive and editing the entry …

Trying to split visuals across two PCs. Main pc has p3dv4 and its version of FSUIPC/wideview. Other has p3dv3 and widefs client. I start p3d on the main. I start widefs on the client and it connects. I then try to start p3d on the client pc and get an error message that a p3d is already running. If I try a different order, starting p3d on the client, then widefs won’t run - error ,essage says that the same class of program is already running. I know the answer is simple but it escapes me. Seem to have an issue with FSFX packages. Upon departure, the visuals start.... air condensing in the engine cowling, moisture over the wings, etc.... Problem is, it wont stop!! Even after climb, cruise and landing, it does it all the way to the gate. Anyone else have the same issue?

The new version versions 12.x have a unique new feature : the airport parking spots files can be updated in realtime with aircraft types and airlines. That means that over time the airport files are getting better and more realistic with AI aircraft more and more parking at their real gates. PSXseeconTraffic is updated on a regular base and is still freeware.You only need a payware RealTraffic license. I use the Traffic Global AI aircraft + FSXAI aircraft with it. I put my FSX Milviz F-15 in P3D v4 and the external model and VC display just fine, but it starts up with the engines off and using CTRL + E won't start them, it tries to, but it kind of sputters and peters out after about 30 seconds. I also tried starting one of the other aircraft that I know starts up with the engines running, and then switching over to the Milviz F-15, but that doesn't work either. Is there any way to "force" it to start with the engines running thru a cfg file or something..?? Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

Hi Everyone, Looking for some help on how to access the MCDU2 panel, in order to get to items such as Aircraft state, doors, etc. I've read thru the documentation,.but all I can find is how to do things once I am at the MCDU2 screen. I've searched for MCDU2 in Vol1 of the guides, but just provides info on what is there, etc. But how/ whats steps are need to bring up MCDU2?? Also, if it's in the documentation, could someone provide info on guide volume where it's found? I'm trying to do self help, but just cant seem to locate it in the guides. Thanks for your assistance. Since RealAir is no more, it seems like it is worthwhile to explain how to install the aircraft into P3d V4. There's the LM way and the "old" way. The old way consists of directly editing the hidden file simobjects.cfg and make the V4 version have an identical entry for the TD as your V3 version has. I do not suggest you do this, as it is better not to edit any of the V4 cfg files with Notepad or any other basic text editor. Although the chances of an issue from direct editing of a English language version of a cfg file are very small, you might experience an issue down the road. The LM way is to use the V4 built-in Addon Manager which is accessible from the P3d men…

Hey, I had some flights with the 787. Beside the bugs like VNAV I noticed a quite bad performance. On some airports it's solid but on others not. I tested or flew to airports I already flew to with PMDG 777 or 737 or the Dash 8. I used the STD panel as the High Res panel will drop my frames with around 5fps. UK2000 Gatwick: 33fps lockes Aerosoft Frankfurt: 22fps Aerosoft Palma: 20fps T2G Munich: 22-28fps FlyTampa Boston: 19fps (but it's worse with a standard plane too) I'm wondering if there is something I can do? I tried the GaugeRefreshRate=10 thing, but did not give me any frames. And after closing P3D the 10 is set to 0 automatically. …
