I experience a myriad of elevation issues when using Orbx regions. I use P3dv3 with FTX Global Base, openLC NA, Vector, and TreesHD. I don’t have any issues with elevation using these. As soon as I load any of the regions I start noticing problems. One airport in particular that I’ve been testing with is KLLR. I’ve uninstalled all Orbx software and re-installed one-by-one. It was after installing the Northern CA region when I first noticed the elevation issue. I don’t utilize any additional third party scenery and have attempted correcting using the auto-elevation utility within the Vector control panel. Is there any way to resolve this? I have purchased…

Why is my CPU only at 29% but my GPU is full on. My grandson told me that it is the opposite away around for him.

Haven't flown the Learjet 25 for awhile. When I now select it and it loads I get a continuous clicking sound like a switch being turned on and off about every second or so. Does it with and without power applied. I've looked all over for a switch being actuated and I've clicked on every switch but can't identify where it might be coming from. Anyone experience this? When I am approaching larger airports (KMEM, EDDF, KSFO, ....) my sim suffers from some long frames (up to 5-6 seconds). I get them also with moderate settings when my average frame rate is about 25-30 with PMDG a/c.. What is the main reason for these long frames. Is it more hardware related (CPU vs GPU) or is it a software/setting thing? UTL comes into my mind, but then it should be only one longer pause imo, when I reach the 20 miles boarder of that airport. Any ideas/suggestions?

No matter what I do I cannot get the jetway at any gate to use door L1 instead of L2 I am using Prepar3dv4 with PMDG Queen Of the Skies 747-400 v3 ver Qantas ER I go into GSX Customize Aircraft Editor. Yes It is the correct aircraft and corrisponds to my current aircraft. I select the Pax1 door, and select the header Door with open close checks as FSX Door1 When I go into the editor the blue Z and green and red axis lines are over the correct door (L1) However when I use the jetway it always goes to L2. I am trying to position my nose wheel on the forward yellow line, then L1 will be in easy reach of the jetway. L2 is to far away, and the jetway has to spl…

I just cleared out all of the control bindings on my P3Dv4.3 getting ready to use FSUIPC and would like to make a copy of the cleared file as a backup. Can anyone tell me where I can find it? I have looked in all of the usual places but have yet to find it. Thanks, Dale

Looking for a fully working default profile for the above. Sadly the 2 available on the SpadNext Database don't work on P3Dv4.3. Any info much appreciated.

I noticed that Aeroplane Heaven have a Lancaster available that seems to be compatible with P3D V4. I have no previous experience with their products but flying the Lancaster would seem to be a different experience and I like flying the classics from A2A and the PMDG DC6. Has anyone given the Lancaster a try in V4.3 and what can I expect from the developer.

Hi all, I would like to find out how can i find the correct departure runway? Allow me to elaborate. I am using PFPX and basing on the weather, it shows 02C departing on PFPX but on the simulator, it gives a different runway like 20R. How can sync both so i get the same runway and arrival for both PFPX and the simulator (P3D). Thank you in advance. Regards

Hi everyone , I was fiddling around with some setting because i got the new EDDK and because i was doing some snowing flights between VHHH and PANC and noticed how much my performance was derated even when GPU was 60% ? It might be the driver which is the 411.70 but upgrading this ruined my Gears4 so whent back to this one. So i quess i want to know what settings you use for snow day and night Thanks Michael Moe

Cologne-Bonn, a major cargo hub in Germany, is bound to be released by Aerosoft early next year. Hey guys, I need ur help, i must hold the yoke to be in a turn (in the air), when i center the yoke the aircraft level it self instantly (no AP activated). I cant figure out at the moment what line i have to change in the aircraft.cfg or airfile , that happen only to one of my planes. Ty

Hello all, quick question regarding spadnext (P3D v4.3): what am I doing wrong here? On all planes, when I load the sim and fire up spadnext, the 1st time I click a switch (saitek switch panel), it seems to activate a bunch of switches simultaneously on the loaded plane. This only happens on the 1st switch, afterwards, everything is fine. (I'm trying here 1st before attempting spadnext forum)

So the other day I was cruising around in my Milviz Comanche in ORBX territory. From the beginning of the flight I was hearing this popping and static noise coming thru the speakers every once in a while. The sim also just seemed kinda sluggish overall. So I checked my cpu and gpu usages. The gpu was around 50-60% and cpu was anywhere from 60% with quick spikes up to 100%. From my understanding when u have popping and clicking noises coming thru the speakers some part of the system is being overloaded. So I lowered a lot of the settings thinking it would help. It did not. So for curiosity I pulled up the task manger (windows 10) to see if I had anything hogging up…

Setting Ansiotropic to 16x does not work in P3D v4 on my 1070 GTX SLI rig with driver 411.70. It does work if set in the nVidia control panel as a P3D game setting. How do you know if Ansio 16x is not working - set your plane on the runway and the centerline will start to blur about 100 out front. Cheers bs

I finally decided to replace my old flightsim PC (windows 7) with a new more up to date PC. I got a I7 9700K with a GTX 1080 (the price of the new 20xx cards are just ridiculous) running with a SSD for the OS and one SSD dedicates to P3D and I finally made the leap to Windows 10. Now my system boots in seconds and I can get flying right away. Installed P3D V4.3, mesh my ORBX product, fsuipc, Chaseplane, AS weather and clouds and my A2A planes, currently flying the Bonanza and P51 Civ. The performance of the new system is great, getting 80 fps and above at ORBX LOWI and Cityscene Gold Coast with most sliders maxed and changing AA settings does not really cha…

I've been updating some of my AI recently and came across AIM's repaint texture for P3D model. According to a post at AIG, the model isn't P3D ready, is it just an incorrect description in the ReadMe file?

I have been searching for a long time to get the best graphic / texture / preset for a tool for the best experience in P3D v4 when it is dark outside. I have to say that the differences in P3D v4 between the day into the night are huge in the day it looks amazing, but in the night it looks awful. I don't know why the differences are so huge. Can someone share a good graphics / texture / preset for a tool to get the best experience in P3D v4 when it is dark outside ? I have: PTA, TomaShade, Reshade, ORBX Light, ENVSHADE and 4k monitor. Just bought 29 Palms Nurnberg airport. Looks great! But there is no terminal bldg. A lot of aprons with parked aircraft, buses, and cars and car parks, but no buildings. There is a large rectangular area where there are no aircraft or ground vehicles, looks like it might be the "foundation building works" for the terminal building. Can anyone provide any advice before I take this topic up at the 29 Palms forum? Thanks
