Greetings, I haven't flown P3D in a while. Just updated ORBX and went to fly out of my home airport of KMDW in Chicago, Illinois. Directly north of the airport, approx1.5 miles is a very prominent expressway (I55) which runs northeast east and southwest. Just north of that is another prominent landmark, the Chicago river, which also runs northeast and southwest and flows east into Lake Michigan. The Chicago river pretty much parallels the expressway. The expressway is there but a large segment of the river is missing. Any help is greatly appreciated regarding slow loading textures. At the same time, some parts they show correct while at the same distance squares of textures are not loaded. I've flown 4.4 for about six hours altogether with various aircraft with no issues and no observable loss in performance, I even upped my autogen level a bit to add trees (I do not like autogen buildings in P3D). What I like the most so far (it might have been fixed in 4.3) is that you can record longer flights now. I recorded a 45 minute flight from SFO to Reno and had no issues with playback whatsoever, in the Carenado Citation 550. It allows me to fly the route first, then rerun the flight if I want to capture screenshots or video. Quite nice. However it chews up hard drive space like crazy, such a long flight is nearly 1GB, whereas the old FSRecorder had much sma…

I have many add on sceneries and have spent lots of time creating my own ai, so you get the picture. I have everything all working pretty well. and have not updated for a while. I am always afraid of disturbing my setup with updates so naturally I am fearing this one. I have now read that some upcoming sceneries are only going to be made for 4.4 so does that mean that sceneries won't work with 4.3 anymore and if there is an update to an existing scenery does that mean I have to update to 4.4.? I really don't want to update again because I don't care about the PBR thing and I am pretty sure this new technology will kill my framerates. So what are most 4.3 people doing? are…

Hello everybody Today I downloaded and upgraded Prepar3D from 4.3 to 4.4 by using the tutorial posted in this forum. I updated all client, content and scenery. In the following link I described many problems with blurries that started when I upgraded from 4.2 to 4.3. https://prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6322&t=120861 I had high hopes that 4.4 would solve these problems, but unfortunately they continue. I attach here a screenshot of a freshly loaded scenario, where I haven't moved from the starting place, but still blurry textures can be seen. Any ideas?

Hello all, Just lately I have been experiencing a strange, intermitent but persistent problem. Yesterday, I did a flight from YBBN to YSSY in my Duke 60, Everything went extremely well and I landed on Runway 34L and did a right hand turn off the runway. halfway through the turn, I lost my mouse and keyboard, as well as all my rudder, yoke quadrant controls. As a result I could not centre my steering and just kept going round in circles regardless of any controller input. Everything else re the Sim was normal ... scenery and frame rate etc appear normal. Because the mouse does not work I cannot exit P3D except by using the on/off button on the computer and reboot…

Anyone know if it's for 4.4 yet? Or any information? Starting up version 26 just gives me errors.

Hello, I have tried to catch the LOC & G/S on different runways (7L, 7R and 25L and 25R) of the Megaairport Frankfurt scenery from Aerosoft with the qualitywings 787 several times now, but I was never able to sucessfully do that. The ILS frequency should be entered correctly in the system since it is working on other airports flawlessy. I have also checked that the frequency is set by checking the NAV menu in the communications module on the center pedestal. Any idea what is wrong? Thank you! Best regards Andreas

Hello, I'm not able to use GSX and the 787 decently on several airport addons (e.g. EDDL, EDDF, EDDK,..). I'm choosing one of the HEAVY parking positions on these airports where the 787 is positioned in a very strange (and wrong?) way. My other plane addons like for example the PMDG 737 or the FSLABS A320 are positioned correctly on these gates. When I'm requested the GSX ground Services I get the error message that the parking position is too small for this aircraft? Very few HEAVY gates are working but in most cases I get this error message. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks! Best regards Andreas

What causes the autogen to turn black when you pan?

All, I am looking for a high quality highly realistic charter airplane to fly almost exclusively at night (after work). I am looking for planes close to A2A quality and available for P3Dv4. I currently already own all A2A aircraft except for the v-tail; and the GLJ Learjet 25. Planes can be multi engine, single engine, turbo prop, jet, etc. Night cockpit lighting and general lighting is a weighing factor too. Most flights will be under 1-2 hours max. Hi, I encountered an elevation problem with Thai Creation' Mumbai airport. When I tried to fix the issue by FTX Vector Configurator, there was no VABB (Mumbai ICAO code) in its data base to select. Your help would be appreciated.

It’s been asked many times before but what is the suggestion?

I've been searching for someone to do a livery paint for me. So far I've not come up with a name or a site. Of course I'm willing to pay for the service. Specifically I'd like a repaint of the BBJ N800KS for the PMDG 737-700WL (P3Dv4). Is there anyone who can point me to someone, or lacking that, a good tutorial on how to paint liveries for P3Dv4? BTW, I tried repainting once but it was a dismal failure. Any help/comments would be appreciated!

I am always amazed by the folks who seem to have every add on known to man loaded on a Ka-zillion GB drive. I see comments about it taking weeks to re-load all this stuff after every new release. On top of scenery then there are the guys that have shader programs that manage the shader programs that make all the scenery file look different LOL. I am just a GA user and I get why you tubeliner guys want a lot of the airports and GSX and others similar software. I swear I don't know how you can keep up with it all and still have time in the day to fly. Hi, I got rex worldwide hd airports and i can't install the textures to the sim. I select the textures to my theme but... nothing happens my jetways remain default, my ground textures stay the same ect... Any help is appreciated. James jackson

I have issues with distant clouds blending into the horizon and not getting distinct differences between cloud and sky. I was told that it is because my weather engine (AS16) is capping the visability in the distance. Is he referring to the cloud draw distance or something else in AS or P3D? Thanks!

Hi, After learning from making lights for the PMDG -8F, I thought I would push myself as far as I could and doing so I ended up using 57 out of 58 light available to me. I please ask you take this journey with me as I think it will make what you get even more rewarding to use. I cannot post the photo I used as a reference but after asking Jim here at AVSIM he tells me it's perfectly ok to post a link. Before you open the photo, I chose it because of the wow factor it brings, the photo highlights (whites) are a bit over blown so you won't get that unless you turned thing up to much. Trying to install TropicalSim's MMMX(Mexico City),and Puerta Vallarta in a Windows 10 64-bit Pro P3Dv4 system after a successful installation on another Windows 7 64-bit Pro system, but as the installation process involves the software linking to a web browser to open up a simMarket page (where it was originally bought from)where the S/n has to be inputted to get a so-called Authorization Code to be inputted in the relevant Taxi2Gate airport set-up to get it installed in P3D, that's where the set-upfalls down. Quick question, with my P3DV4 i use Aerosoft airbusses and also FSLabs 320, i pay a subscription to Navigraph AND also i pay to NavDataPro, is it a kind of silly to pay for both or not ?

Hi all, Couldn’t help but noticed that when flying for example at FL 390, especially in Asia, there are huge bad weather areas. It is a bit annoying because I have to fly around them, and it seems a bit unrealistic to me that there such big areas of bad weather at this altitude. It almost looks like the weather is the same at every altitude. Are there any settings that could help me with this? thanks, Noah
